If you need to chain spells for an effect, or if you just really like Lottery Mage, this is great!

Just imagine getting Pyroblast from this!

    This card is perfect!

... For a Mage deck that has had its day and has gone to do what most old decks do - die out, mostly. Hopefully Freeze Mage makes a comeback just so this card gets some good play. For rng produced spells, this could go a long way if you get Jaina up of that elemental that gave her hero power a Freeze effect.

Not powerful, but as a classic card this should be the goal - an average card, with a mild effect. Classic stays in until moved to the hall of fame, so mundane is safest. Better a subpar card than a ridiculously overpowered one.

Looks like a fun card, and I could definitely see it being included I  some fringe decks because of how great ring is sometimes. Being an addition to the  classic set, it is designed to be weaker than other cards  yet any card with ring aspects can be unexpectedly powerful in the best (or worst) of times. Just imagine on turn ten if you roll Jaraxxus, or Voidlord, or some other powerful demon. Then again, it could very well be turn ten, roll Voidwalker, or some cheap imp. If Blizzard prints more powerful demons in the following years, this only stands to gain.

i personaly like Academic Espionage ! very fun Card for fun times with Tess Greymane

Not realy viable in competetive but very fun to mess around with - had quite some fun so far with it!

I can see how that would be storming awesome...

What? Burgle rotated out? Don't stop Burgle Rogue, all hail Tess Greymane!

You guys are slowly converting me... oh what am I saying? I'm already a convert. I want to make one of these decks now!

It's a fun idea, but unfortunately too slow and unreliable.

That won't stop me from desperately trying to make it work though.  You can do some fun cycling stuff with cheap spells and Gadgezan Auctioneer, but it's more just for fun right now, since aggro kills you before you can get that far, and every other deck has a pretty strong late game finish.  Not to mention it's arguably worse than Kingsbane Rogue or Quest Rogue.

Are they typically weaker decks because of their lack of a defined finisher? Referring to Quest, Kingsbane, and Espionage Rogues, of course. I was wondering why I wanst seeing these more often, besides possibly the expense of the cards being too much for some players. Do you have any good decks or combos that counter these?

Also, what are your thoughts on these kinds of decks right now? Do you think Blizzard will buff them more, or develop cards to check them?

It’s cool and allows for shenanigans, but it’s unreliable and you need a draw engine to get value fast enough to survive.

i will say that it’s actually good against control decks because their win condition is typically outvalue into fatigue, but they’re all too busy crying about quest rogue to worry about a fun card

I will admit, this is true.

But... just think about 1-cost Voidlords. Think about the innocent, semi-casual players who run into this terrifying monster *sarcasm intensifies*. Then again, think about the faces the users of thsi combo make, when they know from turn 3 that they have won against this idiotic control player.

I have a feeling it looks something like this: (Look at attachment, not sure how to insert picture here).

I may have overreacted, I could see my self making that same face now, along with a diabolic chuckle.

But I really wonder, is there any kind of way to counter this once it gets going? I suppose you could run Rin, but by the time you get Azari, the Devourer, you'd be in some deep do-do.

What do you think Blizzard will do in future expansions if this style becomes largely mainstream?

Don't say that I'm throwing a fit, please.

But man, right now I understand the hype about Academic Espionage and Augmented Elekk combo, and how OP it is. Literally, in my last match I was headed towards my last 7 cards, and my opponent not only has an enormous, powerfulboard of 7-9 cost minions (that cost 1 each), but also has my class' Deathknight, and 39 cards left in their deck, most of which are 1 cost. It's awesome, and it sucks when you're fighting against it. Lately, I've noticed that Rogue has gotten some excellent deck-shuffling capabilities, especially in Boomsday. Heck, one time I got a Rogue with an 18/18 Kingsbane with Lifesteal by the end of the match. I'm not saying "Oh, the card is evil, and it should burn!!!!" No, but I do think that maybe is should get nerfed a little bit. Maybe by upping the card cost to 3, and possibly leaving out Hero Cards from the pool, I don't know.

Share your thoughts, but spare me from condemnation. I understand how much of a brat I sound like from posting this, but I think thatit would be nice to see some discussion on this.
