Yeah, I set it to private as I’m doing it at my house. I usually do pack openings with my daughter. It’s a silly game, but we take turns opening the packs and you win one point for rare, three for epic and ten for legendary.

We do that too, but instead of points, it's drinks.

This is one of the worst topics for a thread I've ever seen on HearthPwn.

posted a message on Anyone else enjoying Wild ?

The only decks that I like to play in Wild are the kind that are completely unfeasible in Standard. Like my Shadowgrinder deck, which is completely decimated by the loss of Lightbomb and Deathlord.

posted a message on Possible Entomb + C'Thun bug?

The cards all say "your C'Thun." If it's in my deck, it's doesn't belong to my opponent anymore, so my opponent's buff cards should not buff it anymore. If this is intended behavior, then Entomb is WAY OP against C'Thun decks.

"Oh, you spent your entire game buffing this one minion? Allow me to take it, continue buffing it with your own remaining cards, then play it against you."

posted a message on Open Call for Deck Ideas!!

I'm thinking about concocting some sort of Mass Dispel deck. The Silence nerfs will certainly encourage people to run more aura/trigger/deathrattle minions. Natural counter to this? Fun police silence sweeps!

    Quote from reggin_bolas >>

It still doesn't encourage people to buy packs with real money. Where is the joy in just opening two freaking legendaries in what will soon be 100 packs?

Way to ruin the fun in this game. Let the free to play noobs have their mercy rule. Let paying customers actually get a bit more value.

You are everything that is wrong with gamers nowadays

Soggoth the Slitherer is going to end up being a hidden gem in this expansion. Can't be Polymorphed, Hexed, destroyed by a removal spell, or BGH'd.

posted a message on Why aren't more people interested in this combo? (Scaled Nightmare + Crazed Alchemist)

Magma Rager is shit because it's 3-mana and one card for a lopsided minion with 1-health. Ice Rager is shit because it's 3-mana and one card for a lopsided minion with 2-health. And you want me to believe that 8-mana and two cards for a lopsided minion with 2-health is something worth talking about? Even if Crazed Alchemist made it an 8/8 somehow instead of an 8/2, any minion that needs to combo with another card to be good, is shit. Scaled Nightmare is no exception.

posted a message on Ok, so what ISN'T cancer?

"Cancer" means "a powerful deck or individual card that is very easy to play." Reasons why it may be "easy to play" can include:

    • Does not require a lot of decision making (should I trade? can I overextend here? do I need to save this removal for later?)
    • Deck that uses a lot of low-cost, non-situational cards, so having a "bad hand" is extremely rare
    • Tight synergy (e.g. Ironbeak Owl to go through a big taunt with other minions + weapon; Owl is a beast, so it activates Kill Command)
    • Minions with guaranteed raw value (Dr. Boom is 3 bodies and up to 17 trade damage for 7 mana; Mysterious Challenger is 12 stats, up to 5 draws, and up to 5 mana in free secrets played)

posted a message on Keeping Hearthstone Fresh - Card Nerfs!

I am extremely happy with most of these. Only comments I have are:

    • Blade Flurry – I'm glad it got nerfed, but it got hit WAY too hard. Its low cost was justified by the fact that you also have to pay your entire weapon + any buffs you put on it. Hitting the face as well as minions was OP, but I thought the cost was just fine. (I don't play much rogue, so despite my opinion on this nerf, it doesn't really hit me emotionally =P)
    • Ancient of Lore – A 5/5 and 2 draws for 7 mana was a bit silly, but a 5/5 and 1 draw for 7 mana seems a bit underpowered, especially with 5 health as the other option. "Restore 5 Health" seems more valuable than "Draw a card," no matter how you look at it. That being said, it was way too convenient of a late-game draw for druid, so I agree with reducing the cards drawn to 1, but I think the rest of the card should have been scaled down in a proportional way.
    • Force of Nature – This is a perfectly fair nerf (cost reduction is an unexpected bonus!), but it's sort of bittersweet to me. I racked up 135 wins in the "Heart of the Sunwell" brawl with this card =P
    • Ironbeak Owl – I wish they would have hit this one a little harder. 3-Mana, "Make any legendary minion a lame ball of stats" still doesn't sit well with me. It's unlikely that this cost bump will convince people to stop running it.
    • Big Game Hunter – Again, would have liked to see the nerf hammer come down a bit harder on this. In a hypothetical meta dominated by late-game decks and huge minions, I don't see people batting an eye at the higher cost, as long as it's still turning games around.
    • Master of Disguise – So exciting to hear this!! I love minions with "must remove me, or else!" effects, and this nerf really convinces me that we'll have lots of those coming in the future.
