I love how prior to Naxx everyone was slobbering over Reincarnate - the godly shaman card and finally a redemption for the class. Now a couple of months later and no one is really playing it. Meh.
because he thought steals or shadow madnesses my best cards.
Thoughtsteal beats you? Surely you are kidding. Any priest player or advocate will tell you it's a terrible card as it only draws you useless buffs and weapon upgrades.
They cannot SW:D the Spectral Knight anyway, but yea Sunfury might be a better idea than Argus, for the sake of my other +4 minions. And yes I need to replace the Lightwardens as they seldom get used and are susceptible to Holy Nova anyway,
How about this? I replaced them with Shade and Spellbraker:
So far so good. I wish we had an option in Casual to be able to choose opponent class. I swear I'd spend half a day just trolling priests with this deck:
I don't care if it doesn't do too well against other classes. It can do only decent. But it HAS to beat priests! I'm sick of them and the shenaningans they can pull against the shaman. I wanna hear your ideas and see your decks built to counter priests. Like now! :D
The crux of the issue, as sitenuker has observed, really seems to be the loading screen tip where it says to just "right click portrait to squelch" - I did and it didn't work, hence this thread.
P.S. Wouldn't it make more sense, UI-design-wise, to be able to toggle squelch simply by clicking (or right-clicking) the opponent's portrait?
No. I don't think there's anything intuitive at all about a simple click on a portrait squelching emotes.
Yes there is, if the ONLY thing you're able to accomplish eventually, by clicking on the portrait, is toggle Squelch. Having to jump through the hoop of having to click a second time, only to accomplish what could have been accomplished by the first click, is counterintuitive as hell.
Unless they are saving this for some further opponent actions to be added to the portrait down the road, but it still feels lazy.
I once thought it would be a half-decent idea to keep track (in an excel sheet) of all warlocks I've come across and their respective type (hand/zoo). After around 50 entries, I gave up on this futile effort seeing as I would never be re-matched against any of the existing locks on my list, lol.
With that said, I mulligan for zoo as that's always the best option for shaman - a good SP Lightning Storm can hurt even a few giants, trust me. :)
life sux when they turn 4 giants and you have no hex in hand...
turn 5 faceless...nearly instant loss
Indeed. Last night I was against 2 giants (one of them taunted-up by Argus to 9/9) on turn 5, without Hex. I had feral spirits on board, two totems, and I'd just dropped a giant of my own. Next turn the lock dropped Mind Control Tech which, out of all my minions, took the giant. I conceded. :p
OMG I've been playing HS since April and never once did it occur to me to also actually CLICK on the Squelch bubble - I always thought the bubble was just a notification that I've now activated Squelch. Thanks guys, my HS learning curve has now been completed and I feel like a total noob again! :D

Not sure I get the win condition here - you're not running Doomhammer or Al'akir, so how do you burst the opponent if needed?

Hmm, Yeti could be the ideal target for Holy Fire. Spellbreaker at least provides value on the same turn it is played.

I didn't include Gnomish Inventor because he's a decent Cabal target. Instead I chose the Engineer. Cabal me that, priest!

OK I'll start:

I need a Shaman deck, if that wasn't obvious. Thread title edited.
