You're still playing the deck in the OP? Well done but me I would be bored to tears if I were to play the same old same old midrange shaman list that's been running around since GvG came out.
Yeah Shaman got a huge boost with those GvG cards totem golem, tuskarr totemic, thunder bluff valiant.
It's still the same midrange shaman archetype, replacing 3 cards doesn't change too much.

You're not the only one. I've tried all the new shaman decks and then some, and it's just not working in this paladin meta (rank 5 EU). I never had much trouble climbing with Shaman (usually finish in the top 3 ranks, once I reached Legend too) but boy oh boy has the TGT been unkind to us... :(
last season I reached Legend for the first time after nearly a year of playing excusively Shaman in Constructed. I did it with a mech aggro deck, featuring 2x Fel Reaver and 2x Kezan Mystic:
I finally reached legend for the first time and opened a maly on the same day! I'll try your deck out and see if i can give some suggestions!
by the way wouldnt ysera be stronger than maly on this deck?
To me ysera is just too slow, she doesn't do enough so especially if the dragon is dealt with turn 1 you're left with a dream card and wasted 9 mana. With maly you at least get off earth shock/ lightning bolt or even lightning storm with thaurissan. In that case maly has achieved more if opponent can remove it next turn.
So a conditional combo (Maly + a spell that needs to be unused/in your hand by turn 9 or 10, possibly augmented by Thaurissan no less), is better than a guaranteed card draw from Ysera?
What rank have you actually managed to reach with your April deck? :P
How exactly does Maly work better if you've got no spells to pair him with? You are likely to burn your few direct spells before T9 and you can't even rely on Maly+Storm combo for fear of Maly removal before you storm the next turn.
He has the same attack as Ysera and less health. And without spells he doesn't do anything, unlike Ysera. I just don't see how he could be better control-wise.
And for the record, if your opponent is coining plus Mechwarper without playing a second minion like say, Clockwork Gnome or coining out a Knife Juggler, you already know you're facing an aggro deck and you're better of hoping you drew your lightning storm in your opening hand, then you are hoping you have a rockbiter to take the extra face damage. And as most people are aware, you don't counter aggro with single target removal, you counter aggro with either AoE or forcing them to react to a board presence. Using a rockbiter to remove an early minion (especially on turn 2 in your stated example) is not only mana ineffecient, but it plays right into their plans: Which is you still have no board control, you wasted a removal spell, and you still took damage from it.
Genuine question:
if you have a RB in your hand and he coins out a warper, do you just play a totem on turn 2 then? The totem gets removed, he plays another minion or 2 (at a reduced cost), do you then powermace on turn 3 to kill the warper (provided he doesnt already have an annoy up), or do you storm hoping to RNG-clear the board (good luck with that Tinkertown too :) ?
Either way you still have no board presence on t4 plus you're overloaded and he plays more minions and from there it's gg most of the time, no? I mean how can this strategy be viable for you?

I had a question but did you just delete my comment?

I tried it at r5 and failed horribly with it. Is it still working for you?

Hmm the original list from here does not have Lava Shock:

Whats up with that?

Once at Legend, I experimented with various other shaman decks and the only one that seemed viable was this one:

Hope this helps.

Hi,
did you try this deck in Constructed? I have and gone 0-3 so far at r3. Afraid to go on... :(
No Hex, no silence... bad times. Oh, and no card draw...

You might as well play Ysera then. By the time you play Malygos you've surely used most of your 3 (sic!) direct damage spells.
