Arks_Priest posted a message on ShadowfiendPosted in: ShadowfiendUnpopular opinion, but this card is rubbish, average stats, takes up a slot from control which is already packed very tightly, trying to combo it with circle heal is unreasonable, reducing the cost of a few cards by 1 will not achieve anything, priests win condition is based on drawing into the correct situational cards, reduced mana cost rarely effects any of this.

Zion7 posted a message on [LEGEND] Holy 4000 (deck & guide)Posted in: [LEGEND] Holy 4000 (deck & guide)I think Lightbomb is too expensive and situational of a card for this deck. You will mainly be fighting for board control using your minions and the few times you come against a massive minion you should use your holy fire or death (whichever fits the situation). Putting a Lightbomb into this deck can really hurt our tempo, since this is dead card in the early-mid game. Also, our goal is to always have minions on the board, so Lightbomb is counter-productive to that. Honestly, board clears shouldn't be an issue, except against Zoolock. Admittedly this deck isn't that strong against Zoolock and adding in more board clear options won't change that.

Zion7 posted a message on [LEGEND] Holy 4000 (deck & guide)Posted in: [LEGEND] Holy 4000 (deck & guide)Glad you like the deck! Mage mech does have some advantages yes, but it's also a deck that is instantly recognized and so people will know exactly what's coming and how to prepare. This deck has the advantage of being new and unknown to the masses, so they won't be expecting things like a Foe Reaper to hit the board. Holy 4000 also has some later game potential AND it's much more safe against face rush decks like aggro Hunter. Keep trying with it, and good luck!

Mage does this type of deck better. Priest is my favorite class tho, so I'm going to keep trying.

If your putting in higher costed cards than aggro, that would be midrange which has a bit of a different goal and wouldn't really want this card. Meta has really nothing to do with it.

Cool idea! Here is why it sucks. It is obviously trying to be an aggro card. Aggro decks don't want a 4 mana card that needs another 2 mana to do anything. Its too slow for an aggro deck and too aggro for anything else.

Do priests summon demons in your world?

Rarity has nothing to do with anything aside form legendary which makes it to where you can only have 1 in your deck.

I don't see a case where that card will ever be used in constructed. Even in a deck where it can constantly get to 2 mana (unlikely) its still not good enough.

Well... at least the name was honest.

I didn't even think of that. I never play priest. I have never been able to make a priest deck of any type to work for me (Not fond of the minion stealing theme). I mainly play Mage/Lock/Warrior/Pally. I'm going to keep trying with this one because I really like the theme and it feels great when things go well (shadowboxer rng). I'll let you know if I turn things around.
I will say I'm tempted to lose the Northshire Clerics because they never seem to do anything for me. Also considering subbing Jeeves for a second yeti.
Got any tips for getting the Foe Reaper to do its job?

Read the whole guide twice. I just can't get it to work at all. Went from rank 3 to 8 in only a couple hours of trying. I still haven't gotten Foe Reaper to get off an attack even once. It is also very difficult to get the upgraded repair bot to come down as anything, but vanilla. It doesn't feel like it has enough mechs for all the mech synergy cards. I feel like it needs a good 4 more mechs before I could consistently pull off the synergies. When I do get the upgraded repair bot off, it is almost always on one of the 2 attack mechs and they have the snapjaw syndrome. Good stats, but wind up not accomplishing anything.
Edit - I keep trying because this deck seems so cool, but I must be unlucky. Maybe just doing something horribly wrong. After a large loss streak (against mostly hunter) I'm down to rank 11.
