Kuipertjuu posted a message on FIAV OTK WarriorPosted in: FIAV OTK WarriorDamn man, I really want to thank you for this deck! Have not had so much fun in a long time! Almost no one sees the combo coming and apart from some other combo decks that gather their combo pieces quicker I haven't really encountered a hard counter.
I do have to agree with SirSeltzer regarding his card changes, they do really make it play better / easier -

SirSeltzer posted a message on FIAV OTK WarriorPosted in: FIAV OTK WarriorLove this deck. Was over 50% WR but I'm having a lot more success with a few key adjustments. See below, with commentary.
-2 Snowblind Harpy: I agree it's easy to get the effect but I don't think the minion body and effect is strong enough to warrant inclusion.
-1 Outrider's Axe: Great fit for this deck obviously, but with Corsair Cache I'm finding it often enough. The main reason I got rid of the duplicate is because I'm finding that if I have to play it twice, I'm probably already too far behind unless I'm up against the rare control deck. Even then, it just feels a little slow, especially knowing we have 2 Cutting Class, which are even a good move at 5 mana, though it's often easy to get them off at 2, 4, or 0.
+1 Taelan Fordring: Fantastic card in this deck. Always finds you Mutanus or a piece of your combo, on top of being a sticky minion. This card either gets you to the win condition in time more consistently, or ensures you're ready to consume your opponent's win condition when the time comes.
+1 Bulwark of Azzinoth: Like Snowed In, it's a great stall. Wastes at least 1 complete turn for an aggro deck, potentially several turns vs. something like spell mage.
+1 Bloodmage Thalnos: Everyone's favorite skeleton helps clear beefier boards, plus gets you a little closer to the win condition. This is anecdotal but I feel like I'm clearing a lot of boards with 3-health minions, allowing me to sometimes save Shield Shatters for only the beefiest boards.

RomanKnight posted a message on FIAV OTK WarriorPosted in: FIAV OTK WarriorI played the deck a bit yesterday. First of all, it does work quite consistently and has good WR. On the negative side: it has trouble to dump your hand vs classes that does not play minions, like warlock, mage or priest. As a result, the deck is a bit slow and it is hard to draw the whole combo consistently. I wonder if it is possible to make the deck more aggressive to make it draw much faster and put earlier pressure on the opponent. Also, it is quite easy to disrupt your combo with mutanus or freeze trap. But there is nothing to do about that.
I will try to experiment. For now, I have exchanged librarian for Thalnos. It is very good with many aoe spells present and helps you cycle.

Kadakk posted a message on Ashes of Outland Control WarriorPosted in: Ashes of Outland Control WarriorHey guys,
I tried out this deck and made a showcase of it! If you are interested in a gameplay video with commentary you can check it out bellow. I had a game against aggro DH which I consider very favored for warrior overall and with this version even more. I am not sure how good is actually Elysiana on ladder I feel like it might be still too slow but I guess it really depends on what you are facing. Timestamps are in the video if you just want to check out particular matchup :)
I hope you can enjoy the video

Morei posted a message on 2013 Control Warrior ReturnsPosted in: 2013 Control Warrior ReturnsThe reason why we want Control Warrior to be viable again is because it is an actual deck that requires skill and patience, and isn't full of bs. Cubelock and Demon Control Warlock have nothing special, one summons a Voidlord and applies a Carnivorous Cube to it and "woah, oh my skill", the other summons a bunch of demon and resummons them again as a win condition ("oh my woah, so skill"). People gets tired of those kinds of decks really easily after a few weeks.

kiwiinbacon posted a message on 2013 Control Warrior ReturnsPosted in: 2013 Control Warrior ReturnsThis deck not only reminded me how much I would have loved to have the cards for warrior back in 2013 but also was extremely fun to play with and for this, i recommend it to anyone who is tired of the aggro we are currently experiencing.
I made a video showcasing the deck in action which I hope you all enjoy of course! - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

Yes, I had tried to include the Frenzy Package of Overlord Saurfang, Stonemaul Anchorman and Kresh, Lord of Turtling in earlier iterations, cutting out Cutting Class, Mutanus and Royal Librarian but faced lots of Owltk Warlocks so I made the switch. The Thalnos idea is brilliant though, I will give it a go, thank you.

Hi there, when facing priests you should probably follow the following guidelines:
1. Stack armour whenever you can, play a card and ensure you can use your hero power at the end of it.
2. Bulwark of Azzinoth is great in the late game when their big minions start to slam down. The timing of playing this weapon should be a stall period where you gain more armour while they push out minions in their hand to reduce their hand size, before you hit them the turn after with Brawl.
3. It's okay to take a bit of damage at the start of the game so that you can let Brawl clear the board.
4. Draw only when necessary, because priest games go into fatigue very easily. Choose the most valuable options from Archivist Elysiana and hope that [dragonqueen alexstrasza[/card] generates the best value you could get.
5. Sometimes playing Bladestorm on one target is perfectly fine, as long as its a target that significantly affects the board state. If not, intimidate with your other minions or trade them in if you could.
Hopefully this helps!

Sword and Board is a flex spot for Armorsmith if you face more aggro, but I dropped armorsmith to have more flexible skipper plays. Battle rage should only ever be dropped with skipper and another minion

I took out Slam, Reckless Flurry and Gorehowl for Harrison Jones, Spellbreaker and Skulking Geist, which helps against druids with Mecha'thun. There are quite a few 1-cost spells in this meta currently as well, which is the reason for the inclusion. Harrison is a good alternative combo to the Slam inclusion, with your running of double Weapons Project, while the magnetic shenanigans can be answered with Spellbreaker, but really enjoyed myself with this well-thought out deck!

I took out both Omega Assembly for Rotface and Skulking Geist, seems good
