Have you used it?I have an idea: You post what decks you think takes the most smarts, and I'll explain how it's just as "brainless" as PW.I can wait...I'm interested and this is even a simpler mill deck, throwing this one in the ring.

Loading Collection I'm got golden Druid about 3 weeks ago, played every card on that list and don't ever remember thinking I was on some higher level of academics. The issue you and others are having is associating deck type to these phantom levels of skill. If you are able to create a Hearthstone account, one would assume you are definitely capable of understanding basic math and decision making. There is just as much skill as counting the number of cards in your opponent's hand and using a coldlight as there is waiting to use an Axe after drawing a buff. Only difference is your deck takes longer to win and it's way more fun to use. PW is thin and not as fun. But anyone can play either. It also doesn't take a brainiac to figure out what Ice Block is and what Reno does.It takes no more skill to armor up than it does to go face.I think I've seen every deck called brainless at this point. I remember getting hate mail over winning with a Kun / Aviana / Malygos Druid. It was a "brainless trash deck" or something of that sort. No, dude just lost and was butthurt. Winning on turn 10 took no more "skill" than winning on turn 5 or 6 with a deck designed to do just that. Whatever. I'm not telling anyone PW isn't on the OP side. But that has nothing to do with anything but bad design. Still have to make decisions and know how to count.I'm having better luck at the moment anyway. Just went from 15 to 13 because my opening hands were more on curve. Its funny how luck works. When you have the right cards at the right time you win. And to think my brain has no influence on that...Well you did fairly little convincing calling up examples of iceblock, reno, armor up, none of which are in the mill deck. You did mention [card]Coldlight Oracle[/card], but as it has way more synergies with other cards and you need to worry about what type of deck your opponent is playing as a refilled midrange shaman hand is pretty swift death.
- Do you think [card]Coldlight Oracle[/card] is best to combo with Brann Bronzebeard, Youthful Brewmaster, Daring Reporter, or Mulch.
- Would you rather play Mulch or Naturalize if you know that one card will be milled, it depends on the turn and what has already been played and the type of deck you are facing.
- What turn to you show that you are a mill deck against all different types of decks, and what are the few other win conditions besides mill in this deck?
These are questions and decisions that will require either lots of experience with a mill deck or some datamined results of the situations as they aren't obvious to everyone. I'm glad you made it to 13 with on curve plays, but if you want to get to 5 or higher you need to play a lot more perfectly with this deck over more turns(decisions) than any of the pirate decks.

Whateverwithu posted a message on How are Pirate Warriors dealing with Reno Mage?Posted in: WarriorI understand what you're saying. I was using general examples to illustrate the point that as a whole, the game is not complicated. Let's be honest: It's MTG Lite. Of course it would take longer to get the hang of a Mill deck than PW. My point is, anyone who plays PW would be more than capable of learning to use a Mill deck. All of the bullet points you provided still relies on you having the cards in your hand first. You can think about what combos with what all you want but if Bronz and Mulch are not showing up, guess what you're using whether you like it or not? The scenarios and decisions you point out never happen in a vacuum. And you can play perfect and still lose. If anything, PW proves exactly how much RNG really decides these games. Just like a Mill deck, if PW doesn't draw what they need when they need it, they lose.My entire beef is the association to the actual player. You're not "smarter" for winning with deck X than someone else is with PW or whatever. PW is simply a Tier 1 deck in the current meta that players are taking advantage of and why not? I would bet a large portion of people using it now figured if you can't beat em, join em.I get the hate for the deck because it's a pain in the ass to lose against. You're getting smashed to 10 health while still waiting for turn 6 to do whatever. But I think in reality, nobody wants to lose and what they lose against is actually irrelevant. I get just as irritated losing to PW as I do losing to Freeze Mage while using whatever. It sucks losing at turn 5.Or 6, 7, 8... -

Haussenfuss posted a message on Drakonid Operative needs to be nerfedPosted in: Card DiscussionThe site guidelines require that a thread must primarily consist of constructive posts. If anyone can identify a constructive post among the 46 pages of this pointless screed, please identify it. I suspect that there are none, and that this thread must be the most tedious and pointless content in the recent history of this site - which is quite an accomplishment, given the huge, aimless efforts of thousands of C-students with regrettably unsupervised internet access who regularly populate these fora. On a related note, can anyone suggest a reason as to why this thread hasn't been closed, long ago? It appears to consist entirely of either utterly aimless bitching, or people pointing out that it consists entirely of utterly aimless bitching.

HavvkPwn posted a message on Drakonid Operative needs to be nerfedPosted in: Card DiscussionNobody would admit it, but the people defending DO will be Priest mains / fanboys as SchruteBucks is. I see the same structure in this thread as it was in the CotW thread. It's a Pit Fighter with a strong upside: you can discover DO because it's a dragon, you activate your battlecries because it's a dragon, and the better players will tell you how valuable it is to see three cards of your opponent's deck. Either reduce the statline a bit or remove the tribe tag (I'd do the latter).

I just found it funny how Scrute can play this game when hes only complaining for like a year every day non stop guess he likes too torture himself by playing this game. Im just not annoyed by him its rather amusing most of the time. Your pathetic for talking nonsense and getting annoyed by other people on the internet that makes me salty ^^Didn't you contradict yourself there? I'm pathetic for getting annoyed at internet ppl...and you're the one getting salty from my post? See the irony?lol they must not speak much English in the Netherlands ;) I'm sorry buddy, I was simply expressing my dislike for SchruteBucks. I'll leave you alone Mr. Nice. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

Stop playing casual unless you need to complete a specific quest. Once you realise the ranks on ladder are easy come, easy go, you just push until you reach rank 5. And then you should be able to reach rank 5 every month.

You're missing Loatheb.

Mine's probably this one.

Apparently it was confirmed in the blog post.

I'm glad I got to watch the VOD. Turns out the real asshole here is the OP. Stream sniping and getting worked up over streamer's reactions to his plays, then turning to rope and BM the streamer.

Not worth playing it in Wild if you don't have Emperor. The Wild version doesn't have to run the quest to pull it off.

I've always used the Classic card back and always will. Emphasizes the fact that I'm a F2P pleb.

Was about to suggest adding Loatheb but you beat me to it, although I wouldn't replace Sir Finley Mrrgglton. I was sceptical seeing him in the list at first but it turns out you want that 1/3 body in for your opener and the hero power often doesn't really matter since you can revert it back with Vilefin Inquisitor.
The card I found to be lacking a bit is Grimscale Chum. I don't find it a good 1 drop except maybe when going second. It dilutes your Finja pool and is often left stranded in hand with no murloc to buff. I'd take one out for Loatheb.
Anyway, thanks again OP, for the deck. Made legend with it today. Mainly lost against Priests with a lot of early game answers and Jade Druids where I couldn't close out the game. Had a lot of losses thanks to my phone as well. It was a nice farewell to Murloc Warleader in its current state.
