The title pretty much sums up the question, when do you think Dragon Paladin get support if ever again?
Dragon Paladin is by far my favorite archetype (hence this post) since I have played Hearthstone from beta. Sadly over the years the support for it has pretty much all but phased into Wild. Not necessarily a bad thing but when I see other classes get more love and support with dragon archetypes in newer expansions and Paladin doesn't, it makes me sad :( especially since Paladin was one of the very few classes to originally get dragon support in BRM and Kara.
When Cathedral Gargoyle was announced during Witchwood card reveals I was so stoked that we might be getting some new dragons and other support cards for Paladin but that never came. Disappointment came when Hunters got the dragon archetype added for them for that expansion, which still to today still confuses me why they decided that. Warrior now finally got some love this expansion which is very welcoming since they haven't had anything since TGT/BRM and of course priests have had their good share over the past two years. So how about Paladins, when will we see our beautiful dragons again! I would love to play Standard Dragon Paladin competitively again some day! (Yes I know I can play it now with neutrals)
Just my thoughts. I do currently play Dragon Paladin in Wild which is always fun, just always hoping every expansion to get some new Dragon love for Paladins one of these days!
I have been pretty happy with eggs so far! I haven't tried Paragon yet and would be curious on results. The only issue I feel with this deck is two things, the early game (aggro destroying you) and card draw (just have potion and thats it)
Took a break from Hearthstone for awhile but after being at Blizzcon and seeing some really awesome new cards for Paladin I couldn't help but come back and try out the new expansion!
This is my current take on a Control/Quest Paladin which so far has proven to be very fun and strong! Still tweaking it here and there but this is what I have so far :D Let me know what you think and if there are any other improvements or changes to be made c:
Also Zola has been MVP being able to get a duplicate Gavladon, Lynessa or Shirvallah is so gooood!
I feel your pain. I too have always preferred a more midrange/control archetype of Paladin. Never really enjoyed playing Aggro in Hearthstone. Paladin is really the only class I play as its always been my favorite and that is what I have always played in WoW.
My favorite archetype is Dragon Paladin. I miss it greatly. I always try to make a standard version with what's available and try to enjoy it to the best I can. I play it more in wild now since I have all my tools available but I like playing the standard meta more then the wild meta.
We lost a lot of tools with the rotation but I have a feeling that with the next two expansion we will get better tools for control paladin. It seems they add a little bit of certain archetypes with each expansion while still focusing on the new abilities they introduce with that expansion. For example they added Cathedral Gargoyle and we haven't had real dragon support since BRM. I am sure dude paladin and agro paladin won't be the only options throughout the entire year. We will see! Still working on my own deck atm and finding the best build, even if it not anywhere near tier 1!
OMG if Dragon Paladin is making a come back, I am sooo stoked! My favorite archtype! Even if there isn't enough support for standard this is amazing for Dragon Paladin in Wild. :D
Overall, I guess I am pleased. Most of the legendaries I wanted I did not get but getting two golden lengedaries is pretty good. Gonna dust at least the Twig since I don't play druid. Will hold onto Temporus for now.
After seeing everything being revealed and watching the streams to get ideas about how good these cards could potentially be...I am still mixed if I am excited or dreading another expansion where Paladin has a hard time competitively. The two archetypes that I had the most fun playing was Dragon Paladin and Silver Hand Recruit Paladin. I have always tried to make Dragon Paladin work every expansion even with BRM rotating out just cause its my favorite. I love Midrange and Control Paladin, just frustrating that Jade Druid and Priest are just better :(
The new cards given to us just seem to be all over the place, some helping out Silver Hand Recruit Paladin, some helping Handbuff Paladin. Always been hoping to would give us more control/removal options. Also was really hoping being a Dungeons and Dragon themed expansion Dragon Paladin would come back, but alas, a dream that stays in wild for me (RIP Dragon Consort)
Will it ever get support ever again? Ever since the rotation of BRM and eventually Karazhan, all the core Paladin related dragon cards will be rotated out. Priest seems to have gotten more support for dragon priest with Gadgetzan and now with two new dragons in Kobolds and Catacombs so far seems like dragon priest might be in a good spot when the next expansion drops.
Dragon Paladin was by far my favorite deck type ever since I started in Beta. I do enjoy Dragon Priest but I prefer Paladin so much more. I do hope one day it will get more support. Not fair only Priest gets the dragon love!
Updated version, definitely doing a lot better then previous version. As much as I loved Bone Drake they were too slow, Book Wyrm definitely provides better results.
Also put in Black Knight which has been wonderful with how many taunts are being played in the meta, especially the Lich King
So this was the deck that I used this month. Playing it pretty casually (1-4 games a day at most) I got rank 11. Curious how everyone did with their decks this month. Opinions and thoughts of how you think dragon paladin is doing?
Edit: I honestly think that cobalt scalebane is mvp!

How does your deck do vs value druid, value priest, pirate warrior?
Been quite decent against druid (even Jade) and priest. I haven't fought a single pirate warrior yet, just taunt, control and enrage warrior thus far (which has been really good thus far).
Have you tried using the dragon package in Wild? Does it make Dragon Pally a lot stronger?
I do play Dragon Paladin in wild. Some of the new cards have been great! The issue I am having is too many great cards at the 5 cost slot x.=.x
