It is 4 dragons + at least extra two, since explorer generates another, so it can stack up quite a lot.
...also LF crusader might add another.

For those that are just coming into the game mode this week:

I'm fine with Control decks. I don't really have an issue with long games either.
My only gripe is when said Control deck has so much removal (even for a Control deck) that it feels almost pointless to play anything. And for me, it feels like that is currently the case with Warrior.
Warrior removals/clears:
Shield Slam
Execute
Warpath
Brawl
Omega Devastator
Dyn-o-matic
Supercollider
Reckless Flurry
Militia Commander
Smolderthorn Lancer
Obviously a Warrior won't use all of them in the same deck but it comes close. There is just *so* much removal available. And on top of all that, Warrior gets a ton of armor generation, a Hero card with a very powerful aura and stuff like Omega Assembly, which can find more Omega Devastators and Zilliax by the way.
Oh you've got an 8/8 giant and a 7/4 dragon on the board and Warrior has nothing? One Omega Devastator with Dr. Boom and both are gone thanks to a 10 damage Battlecry and rush on the Mech itself. For 4 mana. Supercollider can also clear it.
Individually (Omega Devastator excepted) the cards are all pretty much fine but Warrior having access to this much removal AND value generation AND armor generation at the same time feels frustrating to play against. It just feels like a bit too much. Not massively, but a bit.

Agree with Savius.
Spent another hour today trying anything to make this work. Dragons + Heal? Dragons + Mech?
Everything is just underwhelming.
If anyone gets a deck that can climb after rank 5 I salute you, and look forward to hearing about it.

I've tested the Barista girl and she can work wonders. Problem is in my experience that a dragon shell with Ms. Barista is to slow and clunky to work well together consistently.
The archetype needs some lower costed battlecry dragons to really get it going which we sadly don't have at the moment.

I twisted in some life gain and shrink rays. Been working wonders actually.

What are your first crafts of the new expansion? (1 Legendary, 1 Epic to choose or more... how you like)
Mine
Legendary: Scargil
Epic: Azerite Elemental - I love the artwork so much and i guess it's one of the sleeper cards.

Too expensive. Card won't be played.
True, but it would actually be pretty good in arena since it gives you a bunch of beasts

It took me 5+ years to do it but I am very happy to finally hit legend with a deck that I loved piloting! I have tried many times making many different kinds of Paladin decks but sadly most of mine just were never competitive enough (mostly Midrange, Dragon, Control, and Highlander)
WIth more time on my hands I finally picked up a Pure Paladin deck and had a blast playing it from Diamond 10 to Legend! And I loved all the aspects the deck offered!

So I am curious about everyone's thoughts on what Paladin needs in the next rotation to become a strong competitive class. Currently, compared to most of the meta decks, Paladin has been struggling and when I play against other classes, I always feel their cards always have more impact during the game.
Personally, I hope for some more control and removal options. Also another card or two to really help solidify Dragon, Highlander, and Pure Paladin would be fantastic.
Just my thoughts though, what about you?
1
Ah good to know the comparison, thank you for that!
I too had a feeling about Galakrond as an option for the "Hero Classes" ... that or Dragon Aspects!
Hopefully we will get awesome news after the new years!

As someone who has mained playing Paladin since beta and piloting Dragon Paladin decks since BRM my hype levels for this expansion were through the roof. I have waited for 5 years for Blizzard to make a dragon theme expansion and they finally delivered!
My excitement and hype did sadly dwindle down after all the cards were revealed. Only 5 cards we got that supported the archetype and even then, compared to what other classes got this expansion, I don't feel they will be strong enough with what we got earlier this year to make Dragon Paladin competitive enough. I am gonna work hard and try two variants of Dragon Paladin. First will be a midrange/control Dragon Paladkin and the other will be a Highlander Dragon Paladin (what I am most excited for and feel will be the best between the two)
My last hope will be the new adventure coming out with new cards we will get some stronger support cards. My hope would be for a solid 1 drop dragon and or a support card, and perhaps a card that can take advantage of Nozari and Nozdormu. Would love a card that made our battlecries affect only ourselves which would be amazing! Imagine a 1 sided Nozari and Nozdormu but requiring two cards to make it happen!
Time will tell! I will start crafting decks with week and experimenting with them!

My Queen ;.=.; She is so damn glorious! That battle cry is very strong! Instant golden craft!

Pretty neat concept, will be curious how many non battlecry dragons that it would be good for!

OMG the hype, I am sooo excited for Dragon Paladin! Been waiting 5 years for this expansion to come out ;.=.;
2
I have been waiting 5 years for this expansion! Already bought both bundles and will be crafting many golden legendaries this time around.
I stuck with Dragon Paladin(and Paladin just in general since beta) since its inception and it's all finally paying off <3
I am super hyped!

Here is my third version of my Dragon Paladin deck. Been quite fun actually. I kinda found a sweet spot of enough healing to survive aggro and token till late game (Thanks to Nozari, Flash of Light and Crystalsmith Kangor) and with buffed dragons (Thanks to Dragon Speaker) to really push board threat against midrange/control decks. Its definitely not perfect and sadly not sure how far I can push with it but it so far it feels the most consistent of all the decks.

First two crafts (depending on what I get from my free golden legendary)
A golden Nozari and a golden Kalecgos
I am so hyped for both of these cards!
