Hey I opened a golden version of Ixlid, Fungal Lord today. I find it quite cool that it spawns golden copies of not golden minions. Druid is not my main. But I also have got a Lich King [/card] and a golden [card]Malygos but no Alex, druid quest or malfurion.
My question is if I should dust Ixlid or keep it and invest more into druid, especially Malygos druid.
Nice. Thank you for sharing this deck I was looking for a new priest deck after the nerf. This looks very much like a witchwood version of the otk priest with Barnes and Yshaarj.
I'll give it a try. Do you think a dragon soul could be fit into this deck? Or would it mean to much tempo loss and to mess too much with the resurrection pool?
I watched firebats stream yesterday and saw him win streak through rank 2-legend with even pala Upon being asked in the stream which deck was best to reach legend atm he replied even pala. Just a pity that it dies today. RIP. After the patch I'd advise to stick to control priest and feast on odd pala.
How is skill or tilt involved when you decide to play few matches with Taunt druid and go 0-5 because: 1. Quest rogue - no chance; 2. Quest rogue - no chance; 3. Control mage with Skulking Geist on coin 5 and DK on 9; 4. Quest rogue - no chance; 5. Getting rekt by aggro hunter on like turn 5-6.
No big deal I thought and switched to Paladin just to get Control warlock and Cubelock as my first two opponents. That's how I got 0-15.
If you had played even pala you would've gone 4:1 since quest Rogue is free win and aggro hunter is also favored.
Taunt druid is considered to be tier 3 atm. So why are you thinking you should consistently beat tier 1 decks with it?
And yes, that's the way the ladder works. You have win rates between 50 and 60 %, so you can easily calculate the number of games you need to climb. But during a whole season you have on average 30 days to climb higher. And thx to the new ladder system you can consistently climb over several month. I got to rank 5 at the end of the year. Finished rank 3 in March, rank 1 in February and hit legend this month.
Its a marathon no sprint. But your advantage are the win streaks and that you can't fall behind certain ranks.
I think a large part of it is the 5-star ranking system. It's just so difficult for anyone who can't spend 2-3 hours a day on Hearthstone to actually get anywhere.
It's very much become a pay-to-win game aswell. As much as people like to pretend it hasn't. All of the top decks are stupidly expensive. F2P casual players will forever struggle to get off the bottom ranks now. Can only see it getting worse aswell..
I disagree. I am f2p and hit legend this month in standard. With Tempo Mage I still achieve decent win streaks in wild. I can't make out any changes in how the ladder works since I started which is a bit more than a year ago.
Don't know where your problem lies but it's not in the way the Lader works. Just my experience.
Imo the problem is cube in combination with voidlord. Played vs. a cubelock yesterday. On turn 6 he said well played What followed was dark pacing, cubing and prince taldarim and faceless manipulating until he had 5 Voidlords with full health at the same time on turn 7-8. It was gg on turn 6 indeed. Even before Guldan had to be played.
Sure post patch it will be easier for aggro to kill Warlock before that. But what about the other control decks?
The card was OP. Just like Warlock is/was OP. Played aggro pala last season without Genn. Genn made the difference and *evened* the former terrible matchup versus one of the most oppressive and meta defining class, aka as Warlock. The OPness compared to the other classes took me to legend this month for the first time. With the nerfs on both evenppala and lock the meta hopefully becomes more balanced.
Val'anyr is a really strong card in this deck. Must have imo and especially strong with saronite chain gang or argen commander. I think it will also be viable in the future and is fun to play. So yea, I would craft it
Last expansion I got a golden dragonsoul as a priest main. So I could never dust it. Still hoping it will be playable one day. Pity that it seems I have to wait some time longer for it.

You mean 5 wins out of 6 games? That's not bad luck. It's hell of a winrate. Just keep it up and you'll climb.

Okay that's a fair point.

Rest in peace even pala.

Yeah! Just got 2 legend for the first (and probably the last) time.
It feels very good after the long grind.
Just wanted to share with the non salty part of the community. 🤩🤩🤩
