I actually found the meta to be extremely boring too. I was about to take a bit of a break, but honestly wild has saved the game for me. I know most people brush off posts like this, but it feels good to able to play with such a huge possibility of cards. I made my own discolock deck and have been having tons of fun on it.

user-14157642 posted a message on Activision Blizzard to lay off hundreds on TuesdayPosted in: General DiscussionAgreed. Even though IMO they catered way too much to the competitive audience lately (a lá Juicy Psychmelon) and let's not forget the King Rastakhan fiasco where they made him an alternative Hero instead of the actual Hero Card of the set that he deserves; I still think HS is amazing enough to fully support it in the hope that they release more fun cards like Griftah, Witch's Cauldron, and Marin the Fox in the future. (Maybe even revert the Yogg nerf? Who knows.)

Psy_Kik posted a message on To all the People that think about Quitting HearthstonePosted in: General DiscussionIt's a fucking card game. If I want to take a break from playing Red Dead or whatever chilling on hearthstone is always a nice option. Also, it's sounds like you were worn down by constructed, but arena has consistantly been by far the best play mode in hearthstone since ...well, launch.
'Quitting' games is a ridiculous concept in itself, either play or not, do what you want, you don't need to draw imaginary red lines all over the place.

LittleOgre posted a message on Flippy Woppy Flork FlapPosted in: Card DiscussionI am not sure if I wanna laugh at some of the names this expansion or if I wanna cry. I mean, it feels like names for 5 year olds. I do understand that mad professors need weird names, but still. Also the introduction video was a bit too childish imo.
Anyway: how do you feel about some of these names? (examples: Boommaster Flark, Flobbidinous Floop, Gloop Sprayer, Whizbang the Wonderful)
I do appreciate funny stuff but I personally hope it stops with these few cards.

HyperOrange posted a message on The Enrage Keyword is Being Removed From HearthstonePosted in: NewsThis is sad, I always thought Enrage would have its moment to shine in the future. The mechanic has potential and it is a theme I've developed while creating cards. Here are some of them:
Enrage doesn't have to be used only to gain Attack so it can be a lot more flexible. Honestly the flavor alone should be enough to keep this keyword in the game.

Posted in: Card DiscussionI'd recommend Druid. You can play just a "normal" version, but also an OTK deck.
An OTK combo deck would play Aviana and Kun the Forgotten King and then Brann Bronzebeard + C'thun . Needs a little bit of setup, but you don't need to play all of the C'thun minions. In particular since you can also play some buffers like Dark Arakkoa after you played brann.
Could intheory also work with Twig of the World Tree but that is susceptible to weapon removal (less consistent) and much weaker if you want to pile up c'thun buffs after Brann.

Elhydrophilio posted a message on MCT must goPosted in: The ArenaI played a lot of arena lately and I guess I'm going to stop again until this is fixed. But lately mct is in every second arena deck. It's literally everywhere. And while I'm fine with a tech card poping up every here and now. It's fucking ridiculous when you need to play a game with supposedly 7 slots of minions with only 3 because otherwise you'll lose the game 100%.
Maybe I'm also just salty but 3 of my last loses were all due to mtc taking my strongest minion. And while I know you should play around it sometimes the only option you have is flooding the board to match your opponents big treats
Edit: before my recent return to arena I haven't played it for I guess 2 expansions. And I can't remember MCT popping up that often so I either have a serious case of confirmation bias or the changed something so it turns up way more often than it should

If you're interested in trying out more ideas, I made an even warlock with Glenda. It's a very Control-style deck. I am considering to replace Baleful Bankers with Sunfury Protectors, because it might do better against Aggro.

I guess you could play Aviana + Kun + Mecha'thun + Deathwing in a deck...

Will copying the Zerek after targeting him with a spell make both have the activated deathrattle?

What if the plan is to mulligan the quest? Both cloning gallery and the quest can be played on turn 10 or later.

Does this mean that mana discounts duplicate for Echo cards (e.g., Preparation + Cheap Shot = 0 mana)?
1
You still have the chance to play the card "as is" before the nerf happens, so why does it have to continue being broken after more cards are released to accentuate the potential exploit? It isn't how the card was designed, but a loophole that is causing unintended OTKs.

This is so intuitive how copy effects should operate, and nevermind the old ruleset ("a copy in hand/deck loses the buffs and discounts"). It sounds like fun times with Valeera the Hollow, Prince Keleseth, and Archbishop Benedictus! I'm liking the direction the game is taking. It seems a bit more timely and taking advantage of the flexibility inherent to digital card games.

Am I missing something? What does this rule change have anything to do with Floop?

The lizard in the lab tank looks like a callback to Chameleos in addition to Free From Amber.
Plus the card is scheduled to be revealed on OmniSlash who revealed the original Chameleos card...
Maybe it's a Priest spell "Cloning Project" or something that takes or copies a minion from your opponent's deck.

I got into playing more Wild recently. The first 10 pack guaranteed Legendary didn't work, when I bought packs of Goblins vs Gnomes and The Grand Tournament. I was expecting it to work like other expansions, but I didn't get any Legendaries in the first 10 packs. I enjoy playing Wild so ended up buying more packs, but I just have to give a warning that opening the first 10 packs might not work as expected for older sets.
