Actually, I am pretty sure that having full standard collection is pretty easy for a F2P player if he dusts cards when they rotate out. Wild is the place where you do need money to have many decks.

    My suggestions to consider:

Defender of Argus. It goes nicely with tokens generated by Sharkin fan is a good tempo card.

Obsidian Shard 4 mana for 3/3 weapon isn't that bad and you have piratre synergies. You can also consider running a single Cavern Shinyfinder if you go this way.

Cheat Death Not very tempo, sure, but If you want to do fun stuff with barrage you'll like to have pirates that cost 2 mana less than usual. It also works with your 4 drops

Cursed Castaway I suspect you don't want to put 6 mana pirate in a tempo deck but it will surely help you drawing that Eviscerate to close the game and it can help with some taunts

In addition to the Loa you can always run Witchwood Piper to fetch both this and cards it will generate.

Artifact's marketing seems to be focused

    1) It is Dota but it is a strategy game (no, not really)
    2) It has 3 boards at once! (so what?)
    3) It has complicated rules and so it is better for competitive players (poker players laugh here)
    4) You don't have to grind to get cards. We care about your time (Lol)
    5) We'll have huge tournaments with huge prize pools! (guys, you can x10 prize of a sport that doesn't interest me... And it will stay uninteresting for me.)
    6) There are so many streamers that are excited about the game! It must be good (Yes. Streamers are guys who just love playing games. It is not what they do for living and they never say or do things for money)

Why not make this summon a random taunt minion with cost equal to your armor? And print taunts to fill the gaps. This way it would be a solid defensive card that fits warrior. In this form it is weak, boring and bland.

Artifact is getting a lot of undeserved hype, what is probably going to happen is all the streamers will play it for a couple months before going back to Hearthstone and it will become just a niche game(which is ok).

IMO, That hype is Valve strategy. I think they understand that in few months from launch player base will fall dramatically. But why would they care?

    1) they already get at least $20 from each player who bought the game.
    2) The bored ones will sell their cards with a cut going to Valve
    3) And than that bored people will spend money they got from selling cards to buy new game(s)
    4) They'll still have a small playerbase that will keep buying cards\tickets\giving Valve money from card selling.

    - dicovering a new archetypes like aggro, one turn swing, etc would change the card prices little bit.            For example lets say the meta is stable and suddenly... there is someone playing aggro deck with cheap cards and he is winning alot, that would change the price of these cards because alot of players want it    (idk if this is con or pro)

Prices won't change "a bit". They will jump wildly. It will be very possible that your new, shiny $300 tier 1 deck will become pile of garbage worth $5 the very next day.

I am very curious what will Artifact do with their mistakes (OP cards). There are three ways - partially ban it, change it, ignore it. Every solution has its own problems

Also, Artifact can become a gambling problem. I can totally see players who will never play a single Artifact game but will buy packs in hopes to score and get more steam $ than they spent.

I actually like how OP mentions poker and then proceeds to how good Artifact is because it is complicated. Poker is a clear proof that you can have a very simple rules and a very complex game. The whole idea of "Artifact has more complicated rules and that means it needs more skill" is absurd.  It is like inventing chess on a 16x16 board with more types of pieces and calling that a more skill intensive game.

So far the whole three lane idea of Artifact looks awful for me. It will be interesting for people  who likes that kind of complication but I believe that players like that are not very common.

posted a message on Dead game!

Anyone can type "Hearthstone hits 100 million registered players" in google and see that there are numerous articles that call them exactly that - registered players. So it is exactly registered accounts. Not players that play regularly, not players that logged in during the last year. It is exactly that > registered players. (gamasutra, gamereactor and other sites with gaming news say exactly that)

Some of those registered players are indeed active players
Some of those registered players play once a weak a game or two on their mobile
Some have left game months ago and may return
Some left years ago and will never return
Some tried it once, disliked it and forgot about it.
Some "players" are Morgl acounts, Whizbang accounts, and other additional accounts created for whatever reasons.

Of course, Hearthstrone isn't a dying game, views on twitch is a clear proof of that. But this Lets celebrate 100 milions players! is nothing but a marketing trick. They want to make Hearthstone seem more popular than it really is.

    Quote from PinkiePieYay >>

Just noticed it at rank 20 in wild. To be honest I thought I misheard something, so I tried doing it against my second account. It turns out there is a new interaction. Question is: when was it implemented?

I clearly remember that this "no, my legions" existed right from the beginning.

And you gave me a false hope that now he actually gives 5 random and not 5 random\player's class legendaries. (((
