All Dragons + Synergies
Hey all,
With all the Blackrock Mountain cards revealed, I put together a little infographic with all the dragon-type cards that will be available as well as the FOUR Dragon-Holding mechanic cards.
I also included a little stat-line about the Hungry Dragon's 1-Drop chances, the spells that can work with Dragonkin Sorcerer, and popular Rend targets.
Paladin and Priest - The only two class to receive their very own Dragon cards. Paladin looking like a great Dragon class with their Dragon-Minion, which basically means your next Dragon is Innervated.
Hungry Dragon -> Zombie Chow - If you're ever desperate for heals (Face Hunter about to Hero Power you to death...), slamming a Hungry Dragon into a Zombie Chow may just save your life... 1 in 36 chances (2.8%)
Rend Backhand? - Despite the ATROCIOUS stats of 8/4 for a 7-Cost, will Rend Blackhand see significant use? Loatheb, Black Knight, Harrison Jones killer?
Thanks a lot of reading guys, hope you all enjoyed it! As usual, if you guys have any suggestions on how to improve it or have other content you guys wanna see - let me know!
More Blackrock Mountain content will be coming over the next few weeks, follow me on Twitter @DisguisedToast for the latest updates!
Past Infographics - Soon to be outdated ;(

TazdingoHS posted a message on Its about time Blizzard! [Undertaker Nerf Discussion]Posted in: General DiscussionQuote from GunsNMuffins »Meh, wasn't OP in the first place, unless you got the perfect hand, I.e Undertaker + Leper + Webspinner + Webspinner,
Won't miss it cos I don't play Huntard or Zoo, but I never felt it was OP. Just one offs that made everyone hate it.Considering how Undertaker decks structure their early game around UT+deathrattles, it's not too far-fetched to get UT+a few deathrattle if one hard mulligans properly.

TheChiv posted a message on Upcoming Balance Change to UndertakerPosted in: NewsMany people seem to either hate or love this decision. Fact is no card you can play in the early game should be the deciding factor in winning. This card forced many design changes to the meta, of which if you didnt get them you were screwed. Personally Im happy with this. A card that grows from simply playing minions is a dangerous creature.

Fluxty posted a message on Does Dr. Boom Need to be Nerfed?Posted in: Card DiscussionGiven Blizzard's history, nerfs almost always come to cards that are played in every deck. Dr. Boom is an extreme example of this. Whether you agree that he should be nerfed, I think there is a high probability he will be.
So, if a nerf for Dr. Boom comes along, what do you think it should be? Blizzard will probably just raise it to 8 mana.
My idea: Just make Dr. Boom summon the Boom Bots as a deathrattle, instead of battlecry.

KingStryker04 posted a message on I'm 26, is dating a 33 yr old mother strange?Posted in: General ChatI think your on the wrong website and forum for your question bro. LOL. All silliness aside though I think its fine. My friend is 28 and is dating a woman with two kids in her mid 40's. They love each other a lot so it doesnt matter. I think the REALLY important question is if she plays hearthstone or world of warcraft? If so then you need to put a ring on that asap. no fooling.

There has to be some mode to allow people to test out new decks without the fear of losing ranks. I know some people don't care about the rank they end up, but other people do. I'm not going to cry myself to sleep if I don't end up rank 5+, but it is fun to try to get a higher rank. Still, somewhere along the way, I want to try a new idea out... that might not work. That's what casual is for. I don't want to drop several ranks just because I don't play the one or two decks I'm best at.

The more I play this deck the more I like it. Though I'm not laddering with it (doing so with another deck), it has a decent win rate - right around 60% with 30 games played. Above all... it's not the same old same old Druid deck with one of two cards difference. Yes, it can fizzle out if you don't get any of your draw cards, but I've found its far more consistent than I originally expected. I have lost a few games because a Shadowflame, Hellfire or Flamestrike cleared the board before I was could cast Soul of the Forest.
I like that you can confuse your opponent if you play your first few cards right. It can seem like a mill deck, then suddenly you have minions all over the board. I have enjoyed seeing opponents lose cards to a full hand, but that's definitely not the purpose of the deck. Filling your opponent's hand works well with Jeeves. All comes down to how can dump your hand the fastest. I've certainly lost to some face hunters, but beaten some as well.
I'm tempted to sub out one Grove Tender for King Mukla just for a little extra oomph.

I think the deck is a bit "draw dependent" ...and a whole lot of fun to play! One of my problems with Druid is so many of the decks feel all the same, but this one is fresh. It's similar to the Soul of the Forest deck.
I love the use of Grove Tender, Coldlight Oracle and Naturalize. They serve a purpose in the deck with the added bonus of causing your opponent to occasionally burn cards with a full hand.
Thanks for the deck. So far, so great. Looking forward to playing it more.

What if he could kill ANY minion, not just legendary?

Infinite fireballs for the win! Made it down to 1 health before I got the combo, but once I did... E.Z.

Lot of fun to play.
Made two tweaks: Felt the deck needed more draw power, so I swapped out both Shade of Naxxramas for a Cult Master and and Acolyte of Pain. Shades felt a little slow for this deck, plus when you get it to work, Cult Master + Force of Nature is really sweet. Mark of the Wild on the Acolyte of Pain is also very nice.
EDIT: Toying around with Raid Leader in place of the Acolyte of Pain. One good Cult Master play seems to be enough.
I found the deck needed a little more activation power for Dragon Egg and Nerubian Egg, so I cut one Soul of the Forest for a Defender of Argus. I do really like Soul of the Forest in this deck though.
Thanks for the deck idea! Would love to hear what you think about the edits.

I thought about Cenarius as well. My question was would it work well despite there being no Wild Growth or Innervate. You think so?

Have to agree. I've had so much fun playing this deck. So many counters in it. It's so satisfying when you Shadowform for the second time and start hitting for 3.
Great job!

Why does everyone act like the world is about to end when Blizzard makes a change like this? Sure some people hate it, others like it. If changing one card brings about and end of an deck or the end of an era for certain types of decks (which I don't think is the case here, despite some reactions to the contrary), that says to me that deck was pretty gimmicky to begin with.
So, decks will change. Some of my own decks will change. Big deal. People will figure out how to build more effective decks post-nerf - with or without Undertaker, and we all adjust accordingly.
