Gotta love it when your scientist, brings out noble sacrifice while redemption is in play, or vice versa.

Shiizu posted a message on Emperor CobraPosted in: Emperor Cobra"But he trades for basically everything!" is what you will hear of this guy. But take note: weapons aside: this guy will always trade for a card. Be it removal or a minion. There is great value in this. He is a good tool for grinding cards out of your opponent. And god forbid if you get to enhance him with a buff.
He's great in arena, he's fine in constructed assuming you know what you are doing. In a priest he can benefit from Velen's Chosen or the shadow word: shield and heals. He is a beast, so hunter could consider him if they want a slower game with Tundra Rhino and Beastmasters. You could play him in warrior, if your selection of removal spells is still not extensive enough. He can get charge in that deck as well.

Pewpewblast posted a message on Miracle RoguePosted in: Miracle RogueLegendary replacements:
Edwin VanCleef: Either Questing Adventurer, which is closer to EV, or Mana Addict, which plays very well with Miracle, if it can live for one turn.
Leeroy Jenkins: Leeroy doesn't have that great of a replacement, but an Arcane Golem is the next best thing. Try not to use it unless it's to finish (as intended) it's Turn 9+, or in absolute desperation. You can also try a Wolfrider as well, as it's one less mana, but one less attack, too. That extra mana crystal could net you an extra card to play though.
Bloodmage Thalnos: Bloodmage is just a clone of Novice Engineer/Loot Hoarder and Kobold Geomancer, so pick one of those. I will say that the spell damage is NOT to be ignored/taken lightly! It helps a ton, but so does card draw, so choose wisely!

PoeticStanziel posted a message on Newbie Guide: Replacing Sylvanas WindrunnerPosted in: Card DiscussionA question you see from new Hearthstone players often concerns viable replacements for legendary cards in popular decks. New players generally have a limited selection of cards to draw upon for deck creation, and their selection of legendary cards is even fewer.
In my ongoing series of newbie guides, the first of which discussed the importance of crafting epics and rares over legendaries, I will highlight popular legendary cards and reasonable replacements that can be found in the common, rare and epic cards.
Even though Sylvanas Windrunner was recently nerfed from a 5 mana to a 6 mana card, it still remains a popular choice in a lot of decks you'll find at sites like Hearthpwn.
Sylvanas can be a difficult card to play effectively, the right board set-up is required and a full turn worth of protection needed to get full value from her deathrattle mechanic. Even given that difficulty, opponents will put forth a lot of effort in removing her from the board, because to leave her around increases the chances of obtaining the coveted deathrattle value. So even if Sylvanas doesn't get her deathrattle value, opponents will usually trade 2-1, sometimes 3-1, removing her. So she still brings value to the table, even if it isn't the value the playing player had hoped for.
Faceless Manipulator is the obvious Sylvanas replacement, since its battlecry sort of replicates Sylvanas' deathrattle effect.
Simply copying an opponent's card is not the end of the story, otherwise you're likely looking at a trade on the following turn. Faceless will get full value when played with hard removal (e.g., Execute, Shadow Word). You copy your opponent's card, then immediately remove the original. Removing the original via minions you already have on the board can be worthwhile as well.
If you don't have hard removal, you can also play Faceless behind taunts to give your newly copied card some protection.
The added benefit of Faceless is that it can be used to copy your own cards. There's some flexibility the card gives you depending on the state of the board and the game.
Another possible option, where you want to take control of an enemy minion, is Mind Control Tech. It is the much weaker cousin of the Faceless Manipulator.
The problem with Tech is that you're playing it when you've already ceded control of the board to your opponent, and you're putting yourself at the mercy of the random-number generator.
You don't often see Mind Control Tech in constructed play, but if you're finding your deck is not able to keep minions off the board effectively, it can added some added punch to a deck.
The other replacement options for Sylvanas Windrunner are simply big, heavy minions. When Sylvanas is unable to gain value from her deathrattle, she usually gains value from the cards she trades for. As stated above, opponents will usually extend themselves beyond the norm to remove her from the board. Big minions can also serve this purpose.
Consider neutral cards such as Ravenholdt Assassin, any of the giants (Molten Giant, Mountain Giant or Sea Giant), War Golem, Boulderfist Ogre, Venture Co. Mercenary, or Stormwind Champion.
Each class, of course, has heavy-hitters of their own. Druids have Ancient of War and Ironbark Protector. Shaman have Earth Elemental. To name a few.
Whereas Sylvanas Windrunner is a powerful and popular card, there are certainly ways to replace her in decks effectively.

I had some "skill" last month, reached rank 8, but a few days ago I dropped from 13 to 15 in one sitting... I would really like this to work.

This deck quickly went form being a murdering mofo to losing 90% of matches... I've never seen a change in meta this fast and drastic. What a shame, I really enjoyed it.
Needs an update asap.
