Purpenflurb posted a message on cant pass rank 15 with quest priest.Posted in: PriestI actually made a quest priest that was doing reasonably well this season. My strategy was to build it more as a control priest, and cut out all of the bad deathrattles. I only ran crystalline oracle x2, loot hoarder x2, shfiting shade x2, shellraiser x2, and cairne. So I didn't complete the quest super quickly, but I could do a pretty good job of beating slower decks.

Zukuu posted a message on Warlock is absent from the metagamePosted in: WarlockBanning Power Overwhelming is one of the most stupid decisions I have witnessed Blizz do in HS entire history. Ist just shows how tone deaf they are to their own game. It was literally the ONLY good spell the entire class has in classic/expert (aka never rotating core set) and a pinnacle of Warlock identity. It made other cards work and enabled cool combos with neutral cards. Warlock has 0 staple spells otherwise. I mean, where is warlock's Frost Bolt, Swipe, Fiery War Axe etc?
Minion-wise it is very similar, but at least you have Void Walker and Jaraxxus, both of which, are played only in particular archetypes tho. Warlock is the only class with that problem and PO being removed only emphasized that. Further, the last "staple"-good warlock card was released 2(!) years ago. The last staple spell 3(!!!!!) years ago. Warlock gets mediocre to flat-out shit stuff expansion after expansion and Blizzard forcing discard down our throats is another huge problem. Those cards suck in EVERY DECK apart from its own, very specific archetype. Discard is also inherently inconsistent, so you'll never make it a non-swingy deck.
Warlock needs staple cards, that are good on their own, without being a combo-piece and without downside (think Imp Gang Boss). Feeding Time would have been very playable at 4 mana, but nope, Warlock can't have any decent spells, so they make it 5 and therefore below average.

suhailabtu posted a message on Weekly Card Design Competition 5.18 - Submission TopicThis could be used by any class as all classes can get value from this, it can, however, be used in secret decks, weapon warrior, or beast hunter or druid for more value. Mostly a fun card much like Blingtron 3000

BigFatMurloc posted a message on If you aren't running Eater of Secrets you need toPosted in: Card DiscussionThe only deck i would auto run eater is discard lock since you can just throw them away if not needed, and when you need them theyre insane. But otherwise you can win vs mage with other decks not needing eater, eating paladin secrets dowsnt do verry much so basically while its ok tech when you auto lose vs mage its nowhere near an auto include.

CasmX posted a message on Weekly Card Design Competition 5.18 - Submission TopicPosted in: Fan CreationsHere's my card for the week.
The balancing of this card was very difficult but I think this works. This card has the potential to be really powerful or outright dead. It may seem like an extremely powerful effect for only 2 mana but your opponent obviously knows when you play it and from that point forward can (and will have to) think their turns out very very carefully but can quite certainly be played around, much like how secrets are now. It has the potential of never activating if your opponent simply doesn't draw the card you choose and of course your opponent can play smart, making sure they play potential targeted cards right before they were going to end their turn anyway (handling hero powers and minion attacks first), essentially turning Mind Flay a dud card.
However, if used properly, this card has the potential to really put a damper on your opponent's strategy. Key targets would be combo cards, such as an Exodia mage's Archmage Antonidas. Doesn't really matter if they get their extra turn if that extra turn is going to immediately end as soon as they play him. There's also the surprise factor of choosing a card they don't expect, not to mention there's always going to be those players that simply forget you played this on turn 2 and come Turn 9+ they misplay and whoops, their turn's over.
I personally don't think this would be a very competitive card but I think it would be a fun card just for those occasional 'Oh Sh*t' moments some of your opponent's will undoubtedly experience. So, I hope you all like it! Enjoy!

XDXDXXDD posted a message on Vote For Your Favourite Community Created Emperors of Price SlashingPosted in: News1- From the void:
Interesting, but I dislike dislock
2-Pack leader:
Good in another class. If it was for paladin and some other archetype it would've been much better. Slower than kodo.
3- Sally:
Interesting design, and 4/4 is not bad, but it is waaaaaaay to situational
4- Bargain hunter:
Very interesting design, but a 3/1 body gets eaten up, and the strength of a hunter is his minions. You can get CoTW with no reduction, secrets are OK, best pick is Kill command
5- Gift of the ancients:
Nice card. Wouldn't see much play as 1 mana draw a card is bad, and farsight doesn't see much play. Possible in jade with fandral.
6-Fortune teller:
Good card. Possible in miracle, though very slow.
7-Moonwell:
3 mana 0/6 with taunt at worst. Infinite value at best. OK
8-Wyrmrest Knight:
Auto include in any dragon paladin, this card depends on how good dragon paladin is. Very good in wild. This is because you don't run against many dragon decks whoch means auto -2 cost.
9-Sanction:
Very nice design. Might be good might be bad. I think bad because it's used against control, and control benefits from discount.
10-Storm wind deposit:
Insane in control meta. Infinite Value technically if you use it with one in hand. This against jade could possibly be the longest game ever.
11-Mana soaker:
Interesting
12-Forbidden dreaming:
Great for combos
13-Desperate defender:
Potential, but in the entire deck is too much
14-Back to work:
Reminds me of my WoW warlock orc beginnings. Infinite value. Need tweaking
15-General Tao:
Bad in warrior except for sulfuras and gorehowl. Great in paladin
16-Arcane opportunist:
Too niche. Quest mage is bad. Maybe in discover mage
17- Gnomish inventor:
Strong decent card. Might see play in dragon (netherspite historian), paladin (hydrologist), and a lot of other good cards. Probably the most likely to enter the game. The discover effect is keeping it down though
18-Scrap recycle:
Great in wild mage
19-Door to door priest:
Such an interesting card, however it's like brann, as it will be auto target. Maybe 1/4 is better
20- Forgotten souls:
Interesting but not enough synergy
I voted for:
Door to door priest

Phillyrider807 posted a message on [UnGoro] Exodia Quest Mage - Subrezon's Theorycraft Series 2!Posted in: [UnGoro] Exodia Quest Mage - Subrezon's Theorycraft Series 2!This deck just isn't consistent enough to climb. Yea its a instant win when u get the combo off but it's just not reliable. After 30+ games i won maybe 10.
The combo itself just requires too much cards i think. There's been numerous times where i just can't seem to get all 5 cards needed and there's like 2-3 cards left in my deck where one of the 5 is there.
I do think the exodia deck is better then the giants. But both of them i don't feel are strong enough to climb. Dirty Rat also messed up both decks. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

if you don't decrease opponent's hp to 3 before playing zephrys he doesn't recognize the lethal because he only looks at the situation on board not to your hand.

LoL i was angry yesterday I took all the three drops into account but it has chance to happen 1 in 65k which is %0.00152 still extremely low
anyway my point is small chances happening in heartstone too often. I played lots of card games previously nothing like this was happening lol top decking was most extreme scenario I have ever seen up until heartstone

Rng is rigged as fuck Impossible rng is happening again and again and again. Druid plays Exotic Mountseller consecutively summons 4 King Mukla There is fkn 116 3 drops which means it already have chance to summon once is 1 in 116 and he summoned consecutively 4 King Mukla chances of it happening is 1 in 182 million lol. Totally rigged bro but that is not only it you know after he summons 4 mukla I played Apexis Blast and guess what I summoned a fkn Desert obelisk it has chance to happen 1 in 70 game doesn't just let me win screws me over and over with rng bullshit.
I play 5 drop Bamboozle and Pack Tactics my minion evolves to Octosari I get double octosari on board and lose the game it has %3,6 chance to happen.
One more game this time I have 6 mana with 4 hp drop on board and Bamboozle dude hits with weapon guess what worst 9 mana Mogu Fleshshaper it has %11 chance to get one of the bad ones I say okay he was lucky whatever and next turn I play another 6 mana and Bamboozle he go and hit with head weapon again this time it turns into Sathrovarr for fuck sake if he hits only one time to a guy that will stick on board or the one of huge ones I will win but no fuck me right. Probability of getting two time bad one is 1 in 36 which is %2.77 that guy won the game with that chance of winning
This game is totally bullshit lol totally pseudo
When you know how to calculate probability you know how fucked up rng in this game

İf you don't have majority of the cards don't go for rogue and mage go for hunter even meta shifts hunter is always viable but mage and rogue can become unplayable rogue always find a way but you might require craft New cards each time.
But most important thing is the creating what you enjoy some people think reaching legend is everything this game is about but no just play the game to enjoy.

if I lose three Times I quit playing for the day because each day brings something new.

Lol you chose worst cards to nerf
1
Zephrys problematic it doesn't recognize most of the new cards after each expansion. I opened similar post after Galakrond expension but it got even worst after the outland.
2
Oppenent is highlander rogue and I am highlander mage I used everything including reno and only three card left and I have nothing at deck opponent have 4 hp one khartut and lackey on his board and I have nothing he plays dq alex finds kaleckos plays a trap and other 0 mana drakonid have 5 minion on board at this point I think I lose the game but damn I have dq alex on my hand I might find a deathwing right I wait patiently than he presses to the end the turn button and gets a Nether Breath directly to his face because dear reno decided to end his whole career as rogue.

Albatross nerf was not enough not even close to being enough.

Akama is a good card to fill 3 drop slot but not necessary I would place it to tier 2.
Shadowjeweler Hanar is easily tier 1 lol and it is extremely annoying for opponent especially when you chose secrets to protect hanar.
Astromancer Solarian tier 1 it is solid drop for mage except spell mage archetype.
Evocation This is solid tier two the reason is too much rng it sometimes doesn't generate the answer you seek also useless at early game. You can see that in the winrates most people use this too seek answer but doesn't give one. but it doesn't mean very bad card it is still usefull sometimes.
Natalie Seline This is worst than flick I don't play priest but this comes to my hand too often 8 mana is a little bit expensive for a removal and most of the time hp gain will just provide regular stats like 8 mana 8/8, 8/7 etc. if this would be taunt it would be solid tier one tho
I didn't play the rest yet. I don't have opinion on them
