They need to remove useless minions from the pool, i hate losing because i pull a Chromatic Egg or Desert Obelisk.

Exactly this. Very strong card if you can get the minion summoned with it too - but in post-rotation standard (or even current standard) there's not even close to enough power in a minionless deck to be competitive.

Yes and Yes. I've tried minionless decks plenty of times before. These attempts were almost exclusively in wild though. They just don't work. Closest I've come is Druid. Hunter has some support as well but the deck archetypes their cards traditionally push really aren't built for it. Although together with Fungal Fortunes I've got a little hope that there might be further support printed in later sets. I'd be a little worried if they spent anymore card slots on this mechanic in this set for either druid or mage. This type of mechanic would never be viable in standard unless the entire set was based around it.  

Well, the "Only Minion" Mage (when Un'goro was almost rotating from Standard) was a viable deck with the Elemental Package. Probably they will do more support for this on the future.

Just by the release of more cards will support spell-only mage, due to more spells (and more options) being printed
