Any thoughts on what i could switch the legendaries out for?

Yeah it really is hard to replace some of the legendaries. Like the9tail said, there really are no replacments for ragnaros/ysera/sylvannas. Those cards are just so strong and provide a strength to any deck that makes them superior to most decks that dont run them.

Now dont get me wrong, Im not saying you have to have legendaries to be good at this game, or have legendaries to climb the ladder cause im sure there are people out there than can rank high with no legendaries, but it wont be easy. All that aside...

Thalnos could be a kobold geomancer, the black knight could be a sunwalker or any other solid 6 drop that fits with the theme of the deck. Ragnaros and ysera is a lot harder... personally I would go for another ancient of lore and maybe a faceless manipulator or just really any other big bomb that impacts the game heavy, I dont know what you personally own. Just try out different cards that you have and see what works for you, the template of the deck is very strong and even with out the legendaries will still climb you up some ranks.

If you are looking to find out which legendary to craft first, I highly suggest Sylvannas be your first followed by ragnaros.

posted a message on Idea on how to make going first "feel" better

First off, sorry if I worded it more complicated than it needed to be, its been a long day...

But yes, thats what Im trying to say. I have been playing magic the gathering for over 15 years and you and your opponent draw your 7 cards and resolve your mulligans and start the game. Now obviously im not comparing this game to mtg, but that simple aspect I am. Each player being able to mulligan an equal amount of cards is only a fair concept. It is not broken and wouldnt give player 1 an advantage in my opinion. Im actually really surprised that Blizzard has not said anything on this or that this hasnt been brought up before.

No no, im not saying they need a buff, its not a buff. Player 1 starts with 3 cards and gets to mulligan those 3. Player 2 starts with 4 cards and gets to mulligan those. After mulligans are resolved, player 2 gets their coin and then player 1 gets to draw their 4th card and the game starts. All I am saying is to let player 1 get to resolve an equal amount of mulliganed cards as player 2 does, which is 4. So when the game starts, player one already has his/her 4 cards in hand and makes their play. Its not something that will imbalance the game in any  fashion, but actually put it more on an even playing field.

Also just pointing out again, Im not at all saying that going 1st is a disadvantage and am not trying to dispute statistics or the fact that player 1 is always 1 mana ahead in the game or any of that, this isnt a typical "complain 2nd is better, coin op blah blah" thread, but just something that has bothered me for a while that I think could easily be fixed that would make the game a bit more balanced.

Ok so I have heard all the talk about the coin and blizzards justification for it and what not, and to an extent I agree with all of it, and I dont have a problem with the coin. So I had a thought that I think the problem I have with going first is that you only get to mulligan 3 cards. Now a lot of people still think going 2nd is better and a lot of times it is, but not always. Again, not here to dispute that, but I do think going first would feel a lot better if you had your turn 1 draw in hand and got to choose whether or not to mulligan that extra card. That way both players get to mulligan 4 cards, player 2 gets to still draw first and still gets the coin but I think it would help out with a lot of the "problems" of going first.

Anywho, this is just a thought and if it has been brought up and discussed before then just ignore this thread or flame me or what have you, but I didnt see anything about this skimming through some threads. I would sitll love to hear yall's opinions on this though.

Awesome, Im really glad people are still having success with this deck. I sitll use this thing more than any other deck I have put together just because of how consistent it still is. The only main changes I have made is that I pulled out the Ysera and swapped it for a Tinkmaster Overspark. I found that as awesome as Ysera is, it is just a little to much of a late game in a meta full of aggro. Tinkmaster Overspark just has a little more value against aggro as well as still being really strong against late game cards such as Ragnaros the Firelord and Tirion Fordring etc.

Its aslo crazy to see how much druids are being played right now as well. Almost every pro stream that I come across lately has been druids all pretty much with lists very similar to this as well.

Oh and yeah, I end up using Bite as like a mini heal if need be. I thought about using another healing touch, but I feel like I like the aspect of aslo doing 4 damage out of no where as well. Just another one of those druid cards that offers so much versatility which is why I like it.

I dont mind going back and forth with you, its entertaining at the least. Dude, you are making yourself sound a bit ignorant with your ramblings though, so just be more careful with the words you choose. You seem to be misconstrued as to what OTK means. Just to let you know, it means one turn kill, which this deck is designed to do. It requires 3 cards, not 5, but again I appreciate your input. You are knocking a concept that was put together by the fine gentlemen at Doge, you know, people like Artosis, Ekop etc. People that most would consider to be pretty respectable in the hearthstone community.

You try to devalue cards to prove your point, but in the same response give them respect for what they do. Your arguments are literally based off of nothing more than your personal opinions because you dont like the deck. Which is fine, because as I stated earlier, I dont like the deck either. But sitting there trying to debunk a combo deck saying it doest work while multiple high end players are testing it in high ranks with decent success, what grounds do you really have?

Dont like the deck, thats fine, no one is focing you to. But dont come into someones thread tossing around personal opinions based on no experience with the deck being discussed because you want to seem intelligent. Again, put the deck together, play some games with it and then talk about your experiences as to why the deck doesnt work or what can be done to make it better. Your kind of help is not useful to anyone other than your ego.

    1. Never have a deck revolving around 5 cards
    2. This not OTk
    3. 1 Taunt could stop this
    4. No AoE that does anything
    5. Very easy to rush down

I think this would never work if you are any higher than rank 20

Im not really a fan of the deck personally, but literally everything you just said is false.

    1. It revolves around 3 cards, which is not a lot, and its a combo deck... thats kind of the point.

    2. This is a one turn kill. Alexstraze puts them to 15, charge alexstraza and swing with gorehowl = 15 points of damage.

    3. Hence the amount of removal and why you draw the game out to set up your combo.

    4. What? You pick away and keep board control and if things get out of hand you cast brawl. Every deck doesnt have to have aoe, you just need things that trade well, and weapons are amazing for that.

    5. Its not very easy to rush down, massive armor, removal and pure value keeps this deck alive.

This deck has been shown on numerous peoples streams over the past week at high levels and performing just fine. Now like I said earlier, I am personally not a fan of this deck but thats just me. Dont flame a deck when you have no clue what you are talking about. Hell at least put it together and play 20 games with it before you toss your opinion around so loosely.

Honestly, if you are using al'akir solely for the 18 damage boost, you could just play a leeroy jenkins in this deck instead and get a 7 mana 18 damage (or even 24 at 8 mana with 2 rockbiters). Of course you would have to replace some cards with windfury and collect one more card which is a downside. But it does give you options for a leeroy + windfury 12 damage early or even just a 9 damage rockbiter+leeroy.

The ancestral healing injured blademaster is a really sick combo tho

Thats true, but to make a windfury/rockbiter/leeroy combo work it would kind of change the deck up into something a little too far away from what I think is what makes it fun. Pushes it towards aggro shaman, which I as well as I am sure numerous other people have tried and just felt like it wasnt quite as good as other classes aggro variants. Strangely enough, the Al'Akir combo is a great finisher, but has also done some work because after you drop a 12 or 18 combo you still have a divine shield taunter left over that is most likely going to protect your fragile shaman but for another turn as opposed to leeroy where he only comes out if you have exactly lethal or a way to gain board control back.

Yes yes, Im not going to debate that Al'Akir is a great legendary, and I will also agree he is one of, if not the, worst class specific legendary, but hey, he works here and even though you might not like him power wise, he is fun to see on the battlefield!

    kripp deck? inc shaman wave

at least this one is more fun than good so no big deal, free wins. has little draw power so a couple silences and you're good. easy pickings for druids

Actually Kripp is known for his arena skills and streaming, most people are not going to take some random shaman deck he is messing around with and follow it as scripture, but if you feel that way more power to you :-)

Yes the deck is fun, but more fun than good? Would you care to elaborate more than what you have because the couple of statements you supplied where a bit lacking, which is understandable because you obviously have not given the deck a couple of go arounds yet. The entire mechanic of shaman is overload and totems, that being said, you generally have a decent amount of cards in hand due to not being able to curve out like a normal class does, but you are dropping more powerful cards for the mana that you are spending. That coupled with the draw that  the deck does have means you are not sitting with an empty hand very often.

Another funny thing is, out of the handful of games I have played with this fun deck, I have yet to lose to a druid. Granted that is out of only 4 druid matches which is by no means a suitable sample size to start justifying things, but a 4-0 start is not necessarily something to be upset about!

To each their own though, sorry you are not a fan and are so quick to dismiss something different, but I do appreciate your input. Any critisism is useful even if it short simple and based on nothing useful :-)

Yeah generally you dont end up playing him til really late so having both rockbiters in hand isnt uncommon. And yeah, I could have spelled out the coin into blademaster into healing, sorry bout that :-)

Tirion troubles? Try Tinkermaster. He's the secret weapon people have yet to tap into.

Tinkmaster is a great legendary I have been using for a while now that just now seems to be gaining popularity. He is literally an answer to any crazy creature in the game. At worse you get a 5/5 you have to deal with, but Ill take that over a tirion or any other nuts legendary for that matter.

As for an immediate answer, Spellbreaker is sitll a good card and a solid answer to tirion.

So I was killing time while my lady was shopping watching some Kripp stream tonight and saw him playing this interesting deck. I watched a few games from it, but he never showed a deck list and I couldnt find one when I got home to look. I unerstood the concept and loved the idea and decided to throw it together with what made sense to me and this is what I came up with...

    Kripp Shaman Combo
Export to BBCode Export to Cockatrice Export to MarkDown Export to Html Clone this deck
    Minion (17) Ability (11) Weapon (2)
    Loading Collection

Ok so after a some playing and testing and tweeking and what not, I have come to the conclusion that this deck is a freakin blast to play. I love it. I still think it needs some work, but honestly its pretty viable from the testing I have done. Im not a pro by any means, but I am currently Rank 7-8 depending on what crazy deck I feel like playing for the day.

Anyways, some things about the deck...

Turn 2 4/7 taunt is awesome. Yes, that happens and it pisses aggro off, I love it. Ancestral Healing and Ancestral Spirit [/card]are both super fun cards to play. The deck plays out like a control deck for the most part, with taunts and card draw, and board control, and it does all that very well. You have hex for anything crazy, and [card]Ancestral healing plus The Black Knight kills any creature which is pretty sweet.

Yes Al'Akir the Windlord is in this deck, and yes he wins a lot of games. Try to save your Rockbiter Weapon's if possible for an 18  damage burst that no one will be expecting!

Anywho, if you enjoy playing shaman and are looking for something different and fun to play yet is still competitive give this a whirl, let me know what yall come up with, maybe we can make the deck even stronger :-)

I hate to say this but maybe its time for hearthstone to restrict certain cards, Ice block being those certain cards O.o A one of ice block wouldnt be nearly as tough to deal with, its the fact that in a 30 card deck with a class that can stall the game and draw most of the cards in their deck every game, getting both ice blocks is very very likely and thats why they are so annoying imo.

Alexstraza with block up pass turn. You pop ice block, pass turn. They place their second ice block fireball/frost bolt/ice lance or what ever dd spell they choose, pass turn. You pop block again, pass turn. Rage at the state of the game as they pyro you in the face and there wasnt a damn thing you can do about it.

If you dont play a class with a lot of heals, or just get super lucky and have the mage not draw both their blocks, there is literally nothing you can do do to win the game. This needs to be addressed and increasing the cd's on the freezing spells is not the way to do it. Allowing only 1 ice block in a deck will fix the problem. Anyways, just my opinion, until it gets fixed, enjoy a meta with massive amounts of mages and healadins and a splattering of all the other classes that refuse to conform.

That is one widely used deck, from the first us paladin to reach legend i think. Can't say that it does really well anymore.

That is the template that most high end paladin players are using now a days. I play it with my own personal tweeks of course, but its a really solid all around deck that poops on mages very hard which is a great feeling.
