posted a message on Ultimate Infestation... needs to be changed

There is a huge risk to spending 10 mana on one card, so 10-mana cards should (arguably) be over-valued.

Ultimate Infestation is undeniably over valued.  It's a single 10-mana card with 19 mana worth of effects (Stranglethorn Tiger (ish) + Iron Hide + StarfireSprint --or-- Sprint + Shield Block + Firelands Portal (ish))

(I won't get into how it really doesn't have any practical counters.)

In any other class, this card would probably be fine.  But in a Druid deck where one can realistically play it on Turn 5, it's game-breaking.  (In mirrors, the game is often decided by who plays it first.)

That's really all there is to it.

In many cases, drawing only 3 would make Ultimate Infestation even better, because there are many times when 5 cards drawn results in a self-mill.  Drawing only 3 would make it more playable without that potential downside.

I like the idea of it costing 11 and summoning only a 4/4.  This ensures any deck running it must save The Coin or an Innervate to play it.  (The Druid player might have to actually think about if/when to use the Coin or Innervate in the early turns.)

This card would be worth it at 7 HP and/or card texts stating, "Cannot be discarded."

I'd swear this was originally one of Kripp's decks.  I'd have to check the VODs to be certain though.

posted a message on Arena Reward Changes

I wish we could choose which card pack to earn.

I don't mind winning common cards, so long as it's not a card I already have.  That's the real feelsbadman.

The chance at winning a free run would be welcomed.

Not exactly a "reward", but I really wish Arena victories counted towards the "3 wins for 10 gold" counter.

    4.  Stop printing bullsh!t early-game cards that make it possible to draw the "nuts" and effectively win on Turn 0.

posted a message on All-Star Squad is This Week's Brawl!

Except when you're up against the stupidly OP sh*t like Patches the Pirate or Jade Idol, this Brawl can be really fun.

I've had the most fun with Jeweled Macaw.

posted a message on Should Blizzard be more Transparent With Arena Rules? Have Odds on Weapons Changed?

Though they may not make sense or be usable to the majority of Arena players, these changes should be 100% transparent.

Many decisions are made based on odds of drawing or generating an out, so it's important for those people in those instances to know these things.

If Arena is ever to be elevated above a full-on RNG clown fiesta, this is where it can start.

posted a message on why are you not rewarded for playing the game ?
    Quote from sparkisUS >>

Wow... This come off as being so entitled. Having fun playing the game should be reward enough. However, if that isn't enough, you do get rewards. Daily. You just don't get it spoon fed to you.

The problem with this and other similarly-themed responses is the blatant ignorance of the cost of this game.
If HS was a one-time-buy type of game, the "entitlement" argument would certainly be valid and warranted, but the fact remains this game can potentially cost well over a thousand bucks annually.

100 packs represents about 75% of a typical expansion ((98/98) Commons, (64/72) Rares, (20/54) Epics, and (4.5/20) Legendaries).

Even a thrifty player averaging +60g per day (7260 per 4-month expansion cycle) is still on the hook for 18 packs ($25) if they want to play that 75% of each expansion.  Keep in mind, though, that essentially means no Arena and being stuck with whatever random cards they get from their packs with little (no) option to deviate.

I'm sure you can see where this is going.  It's not unreasonable to want (even expect) Blizzard to throw out some more freebies.

"Working properly" only means it's functioning as they've designed its; it does not indicate how they've actually designed it.
