Stop complaining...the game will always have balance problems and it will never change. Blizz will keep doing what they have always done: do whatever they want and take your money. It's a good thing in a way for me at least. Being less interesting I stopped buying everything blizz is putting out, just the expansion for now. I will go on like this until I get fed up which I feel is not far as I am putting more hours in other games. I never thought I would get to that point with HS but here I am, no regrets though, had a great time playing the game.
Yep, deck is only for experienced players. I am at 60% win rate with this deck and I did make some changes cause there was a great need of removals for the first 4-5 turns. I took out one Psychopomp and mindflayer for 2 penance. The strength of a Rez Priest is it's res pool. When you mass rez or when catrina muerte summons a psychopomp..well you know the feeling. So one is enough. Soulmirror can be a polluter depending on what's on the board when you use it...bear that in mind. A good mulligan is key to success and that's where what v1ci0us said is true: having a good player experience and meta knowledge. Ex: I like to keep Shadow word ruin or mass dispel against libram paladin..works very well most of the time. Bear in mind that you need to heal frequently to reduce the cost of Flesh giant.
Here is an example of what this deck can do against the top tier deck. Was not a good match but it shows that this deck can come back from a tough situation.: https://hsreplay.net/replay/hZ755BvERkA4Cn5eQP5p65
They deliberately killed this class because of news cards the devs created in the latest expansions and now they are out of ideas for mage...they suck!
I would not even bother to find out. Reaching legend now is no big feat. I pushed to reach legend when they implemented the new ranking system because of the legendary card reward. Once you reach legend your ranking keeps plummeting if you don't keep playing consistently. Now, I am happy just reaching D5 (very easily) regularly and fool around with decks. There was a time when reaching Legend really meant something even if we know that HS rewards resilience not skill, that's the main reason why reaching legend gives no clout. Now HS has become a game that I can play as a pleasant distraction and I can dedicate more time to fun games like ARK. Still love playing the game but like I said ranking means nothing now.
We all know the culprits Guardian Druid, Libram Pal, Big Warrior, Special mention for Gibberling Druid!! I know it's fun and spectacular but its also mostly unfair!!! 4-5 minions on the board on turn 1 and you have 1 mana to answer that? Come on Blizz! Did they really test these cards? Huge minions by turn 4/5? Unplayable. I tried these decks, easy wins, yes, and I have never seen so many opponents just concede but is this really what HS is about? Where are they going with this?
None of those decks aside from Gibbering can get 4-5 minions out on the first turn.... you’re over exaggerating .
You misread my post you are just confirming what I said. Read again, I mentioned Gibberling druid in my OP and this is why I talked about having 4-5 minions on the board on turn one to illustrate what Gibberling can do. Hope its clearer now. I experienced it first hand he played FIRST and had FIVE minions on the board:https://hsreplay.net/replay/uCfiYWFLNGkoZEeFJMVBnc
I think it all really started to worsen when they introduced the recruit mechanics with the kobolds and catacombs expansion. Hunter was ruling the meta with Kathrena Winterwisp and Charged Devilsaur. The stats probably showed to Blizz that a majority of players were going for this type of deck. Nothing wrong with that except that now it has reached such a level that it is beyond ridiculous. I just hope now that they will make the right nerfs next week.
It goes way further back than Recruit. Free Patches, Quest Rogue, Jade Druid, infinite Fireball Mage, Big Priest and plenty more besides all cheating the cost of things. Cheating that cost is and always has been at the core of HS.
Well there is not conflict in our arguments. I am not denying that it goes further than Recruit. I am just saying that it got worse with Kobold and catacombs expansion. This being said I would not consider Jade druid are pure mana cheating, there was build up curve and you could disrupt/delay the arrival of the huge jades. Infinite Fireball mage was an OTK nor really mana cheating as you could only play these fireballs after getting the combo cards and that gave you time to try to beat the deck. Big Barnes Priest, it was mana cheating but it was not as ridiculous as it is now I don't think it was even tier one at that time. As for Quest Rogue The Caverns Below I guess I do agree with you. It was a nightmare!

Good deck not OP...dependent on ramp cards but can survive if opponents doesn't draw too well. When everything falls in place it's nuts but you know that it doesn't happen all the time so survive until reach turn 7 then you can shine. Not for all players...
But I love OTK and Combo decks, so I'll pray to face the remaining 8 classes lol I'll need the best luck!
I am pretty sure that priest players like me will auto-include Mindrender Illucia in their decks to counter combo/OTK decks. I also think that there will be a lot priests in the meta. I am eager to play against this deck..

Not a great meta...just ok. But good enough for me. I stop playing after I reach D5...just doing the dailies.

stopped playing waiting for more nerfs...it's bound to happen.

When I said fun in my post I meant fun for those who play these and unfun for those who play against it!

I disagree its Lightning Bloom the main problem as well as Kael'thas Sunstrider
