Grenache posted a message on The Five Most Overhyped Boomsday Project CardsPosted in: NewsThis is a really bad list, and here is why: Juicy Psychmelon was a hyped up card, but people were always freaking out over the tutor in Wild, not Standard. And considering it is played in every single Aviana Kun deck, no, it was not overhyped. It became an auto staple in the deck, and the hype was warranted. Not an overhype.
No one threw a fit or went crazy over Kangor's Endless Army. It's just a card that justifies the Mech Paladin archetype, and investing into three over-Magnetized mechs.
Lab Recruiter was just a very interesting card from a card design perspective. Not overhyped.
Wargear is the most aggressively stat'd Magnetize, and very solid in midrange mech decks. The problem being that we just don't see those in the high tier, and therefore sees less representation. This is the only card on the list that I can see the argument for both sides for. People expected to see Wargear everywhere, but mech decks just weren't that good.
No one freaked out over Floop's Glorious Gloop, bc it was ramp with conditions that you had to work for. No one overhyped Floop's Glorious Gloop.

Haussenfuss posted a message on Yong Woo Leaves Blizzard - Joins Ben Brode at Second DinnerPosted in: NewsI hope you're sitting right now because it may come as a shock to you but... THEY made it an unbalanced rng clown fiesta because this was their idea of fun
Hmmm . . .
I don't have any particular preference as to whether or not you are standing, sitting, or rolling on the floor - but no one on the Second Dinner team designed cards for the game . . . BB last worked on initial design during LoE, and final design during Naxx. Hamilton and Yong were entirely involved in the business end of managing the HS team - though I suppose Hamilton could be criticized for writing OP fluff . . . his only input into the cards was writing flavour text. Jomaro was a concept artist for the HS team. Since you have no idea what a Game Director, Lead Designer, Senior Producer, or Concept Artist does - Google can help you out . . . if nothing else, you can at least pretend to be angry at the right people the next time you shit-post about the game.
FWIW - if you spend a couple minutes on the Googles, you'll quickly appreciate that most of the folks involved in making a game aren't involved in designing it. Currently, that sentence might hurt your head, and seem kind of paradoxical, but the path to enlightenment is at your fingertips. Good luck on your journey . . .

Asklerino posted a message on Developer Insights: Boomsday Arena Update with Kris ZierhutPosted in: NewsIf you're the one that claims the system is rigged, the burden of proof rests on your shoulders. Find information, gather statistical data, run tests by yourself with help of people, try to get conclusive results.
It'd be interesting to figure out if that kinda thing actually happens in the game. It's a lot of hard work to do, and it'd certainly give us better insight on how the game actually works, but so far nobody cares enough to test it out or give solid arguments other than that one article that talks about some algorithm some company made to affect match making.
Until then, it just seems like confirmation bias and people not understanding how statistics work overlap.

AokiNaptune posted a message on Myra RotspringPosted in: Myra RotspringAnother push for Deathrattle Rogue?
Let's look at the card first:
-4/2 = 6 stats. Worth 2.5 mana (vanilla 5-drop has 11 Stats), so the effect has to be worth at least 2.5 mana to be fair which sadly isn't enough nowadays
-Discover a deathrattle minion. Would be ~1 mana ( Journey Below ), amazing as a 3 drop, fair as a 4-drop with just this.
-Choose 1 out of 3 deathrattles. Worth anything between -1 mana (classic minions with negative deathrattles, worst case scenario all 3 discovery options are of this type) and up to +6 mana (Silver Vanguard in a way has Gather Your Party).
OFC Rogue has been getting their own deathrattles, notable are Cursed Castaway and Kobold Illusionist,Sherazin, Corpse Flower would be interesting.
(+)Potentially insane value. Very flexible.
(-) Occasional disastrous low-rolls and puts a dead card into your hand. Somewhat expensive, slow turn 5.
Where does she go?
A perfect fit for recruit/ big rogue (something like that one deck Dane is always playing). A nice flexible tool that also gives you reload.
It probably will not push the deathrattle rogue that Blizzards wants to make work. Roll the Bones is too inconsistent, Lesser Onyx Spellstone is difficult to upgrade. Blightnozzle Crawler seems to be a worse Vilespine Slayer. Maybe more card reveals will make this work?
I would be surprised if odd-rogue ran this, it's somewhat slow. -
