Ilfirinor posted a message on Patch 15.0 - New SoU Cards Added, Fixes, Improvements, Cardbacks & More!Posted in: NewsWe have updated the functionality of the Rogue quest reward Crystal Core in order to address some inconsistencies. This new functionality also applies to Dark Pharaoh Tekahn’s Battlecry effect.
Sounds like they tried to make it clear for new (or returning) players that it's not possible to dispel the buff with a silence. From that standpoint, it's pretty reasonable because some players might not understand that the thing that makes lackeys 4/4 was a hero aura, not a buff. And they would waste a silence trying to dispel it, AND they would think they silence didn't work because of a bug.
But, speaking of inconsistencies, they introduced quite a fwe with this change. First of all, cards don't do what their text says any more (contrary to what they say). So, the first card says that it adds or summons a 1/1 copy. Ok, that's it! When the minion is summoned, it is (and was) 1/1. Now the aura should take effect, which is 'your minions are 4/4', so the summoned 1/1 tokens should become 4/4s. Which they don't do anymore.
To put that into perspective, consider the interaction of Sonya Shadowdancer and Stonetusk Boar. The boar is already 1/1 that costs 1. So, Sonya basically gives you the copy of the original card. But it won't be affected be the Crystal Core aura. Which is pretty inconsistent because the first boar you summon becomes 4/4 but not any subsequent ones. But if you bounce and replay the boar, it will become 4/4. Weird, isn't it?
Also, the change is definitely a nerf to the rogue quest because the interaction with Charge minions is broken AND stolen minions remain 4/4 now. But it doesn't sound like they will be giving refunds.

Scorpyon posted a message on New Card Revealed - MurmyPosted in: NewsWas totally expecting a vanilla Reborn card like this. Just why did it have to be a Murloc though? Also it's not even cute!
"Nobody said "Cute" was a requirement when we signed up..." :-P

Not the flashiest card, but possibly one of the strongest. Really, really good.

OldManSanns posted a message on Rise of Shadows on a Budget - Five Decks That Won't Break The BankPosted in: NewsQuote from Gamemechanic >>And the budget decks listed here are tier 1? You may have to rethink your idea of who is spreading false information.
In the interest of NOT spreading false information: hsreplay says the average win rate of all 18 Whizbang decks as of this afternoon (Apr-16) combined are 48.9%. More specifically: min of 38.2 (heal druid), max of 58.2 (token druid), a median of 49.1 (split between rez priest and lock), and fairly even distribution between.
I see none of RegisKillbin's decks are listed under hsreplay. I do see some budget decks listed as > 50% win rate, but most of these have a limited number of games so one has to wonder if they were over-representing lower-rank games and/or exceptional pilots. If nothing else, I can present the anecdotal evidence: who in their right mind would spend over 10K dust crafting a Khadgar mage deck or a Bomb warrior deck if its going to win LESS than a 1k Highmane hunter deck?
My gut tells me these budget decks would do significantly worse than 48.9% win rate under similar conditions as the Whizbang results, but perhaps by not as much as we would anticipate. I'll leave it to the readers to decide for themselves what exactly constitutes a "tier" and where the thresholds lie. I will also add that playing Whizbang is a fundamentally different experience than any other deck--you have no control over which decks you're going to play and you are unable to improve them outside the matches. This can create a sense of helplessness and resentment which I think turns off players like Shatterstar1998--it makes the decks feel like they are worse than the really are. But if you're open to "roll with the punches", I personally think Whizbang is a sound investment for any budget player.

MercsGuardian posted a message on Wild is full of cancer decks!!Posted in: General DiscussionOh man, it's almost like Wild is full of every single broken card and combo to ever exist in Hearthstone on top of the insane power creep that has been happening since the start of this game.
Look, if you don't like Wild, don't play it, stop complaining about it, it won't change shit.
