Tykaine posted a message on Serious question : Is it worth to pre-order WitchwoodPosted in: General DiscussionEven if the expansion level is low, which we also heard during KoFT and KaC ("it's the new The Grand Tournament!!1!1!!"), there are still going to be some things in the set worth playing. 70 packs is the bare minimum you'll want. If the set is as weak as the Hearthpwn Prophets predict, you can save your gold after the 70 packs and be set for the next expansion.
So yes, it's worth it. If you want to play past Rank 15, there is no such thing as "skipping an expansion".

SDhn2a posted a message on The 'Told You So' Prediction ThreadPosted in: General DiscussionHere's my not-so-bold prediction:
At least a dozen individual salt threads will appear within a day of the expansion's release, complaining about how OP and unbeatable some new deck will be. Within a week, each of the aforementioned decks will be Tier 3 at best.

Sherman1986 posted a message on What are your Day 1 Witchwood Golden Crafts?Posted in: General DiscussionNone. I will probably craft some legendaries like Chameleos and Tess Greymane, but there is no way I'm crafting them in golden, too much dust.

Lightspoon posted a message on DAY 1. Legendary craftingPosted in: Card DiscussionCrafting things on day 1 is just useless: everything can be good or bad regardless of any prediction. For those that doesn't want to waste resources is a lot better to wait a month before going on with the crafting.

rasmusm20 posted a message on How can people complain about Hearthstone?Posted in: General ChatGod, the game is free. It cost you literally nothing to download. Nothing, nada. How can you complain something you get free isn't good enough? If you dont like the cards, dont buy the packs. If you only like arena dont play standard. If you dont like the RNG, dont play the game.

Actually Kobolds legendaries suck, good cards of the set are mainly epics
Yep, Blizzard sure did lock classes behind a paywall with all those legendary weapons /s - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

Especially if:
1. Keleseth is in the middle to end of your deck.
2. If Keleseth is early, but you draw lots of big minions after it.
3. Shadowstep is in the middle to end of your deck.
Drawing Keleseth early does help the win condition, but it is far from an automatic win or an autopilot deck.

Just log onto the region your collection is in. You might also start a second account in a different region as f2p and slowly build it.

It has its good points and its bad, but yes its fun. Its a challenge and a thinking game with luck tossed in. Could it be better, well yes, but nothing on this earth is perfect.

If your goal is to have fun, realize you may never get a complete collection and focus in on the best cards that enable you to play great decks. If your winning a lot or climbing the ladder reasonably well spend more time getting good with those decks and still save gold for the next expansion to remain competitive.

Edwin is nice to have to close out games, not sure what you would replace him with. Patches is almost essential so you can get the early board. Leeroy can be replaced with Reckless Rocketeer or Argent Commander. They wont be as powerful, but everyone should have Reckless Rocketeer as its a basic card thats given for unlocking the Shaman class. I like Argent Commander better because of the divine shield that make it harder to kill.

No, and I am a relatively new player. I started a month and a half before Ungoro was released. I was easily able to find beginner decks with the help of google. The decks helped me to learn the game and to start to learn what to expect others to play as a counter. I didnt win a lot in the beginning, but the game isnt just about winning for me. Its the complexity of the game. It may appear simple at first, but the endless decks that can be made and the way they are played is what hooked me. Then the way you draw and what to play next or counter what others play is very challenging.
While the game is free to install and play, and can be played that way, it isnt designed as completely free. A modest investment in either time or money can make the game more enjoyable. You can either invest massive amounts of time and gain gold, spend little time but lots of money, or a combination of the two. But thats what makes it open to more people.
Giving things away will not make people like the game more, and it already gives away a lot. What it may end up doing is make people value it less. Things that are given for free have little value to people, when you have something invested, you value it more. What you invest makes no difference, time or money are both valuable.

Took a quick look at your collection, and you look like you have some good cards to build decks. You might want to list the deck(s) your using and what kind of decks your having problems with.

I had 8,400 gold for KFT, it is my second expansion and I only started playing a month and a half before Ungoro. I bought the pre release of both expansions and I have most of the KFT cards. I started saving a week after the KFT release when I hit the pity timer and had most of the cards I wanted from the expansion. I now have 2,700 gold and will not spend it until the next expansion because of the success I had with KFT in getting the majority of the cards. I like Arena, but like constructed and ranked mode more.
