posted a message on Next round of nerfs going to be targeted at Galakrond rouge
    Quote from 69xddddddd >>

yeah i mean after a new best class comes in and gets nerfed, rouge is on top, just like the last expansion, seems like it needs  a look into IMO.

The classes on top are (surprise surprise) the classes with good card draw.

Paladin was on top until their card draw was rotated to wild. Aggro Pala held in while Crystology existed.. But now that's gone too.

Priest was on top while Lyra/Raza/DK Anduin were in standard, but they were all draw dependent decks.. They're now rotated.

Warriors losing Acolyte crippled them pretty harshly.

Meanwhile Demon Hunters have had wave after waves of nerfs on the wrong cards, Rogue is currently on top for its great card draw and tempo, and Galakrond Warlock for being able to draw through all of its board removals and win conditions.

It's retarded how Blizzard made the two buff orientated classes have a severe weakness in card draw, while Rogues, DHs and Warlocks have all of their strengths without the weakness.

posted a message on Should Blizzard Buff Paladin?

Paladin needs better board clears before it needs better cute stuff like cheaper buffs and Lay on Hands.

Murgurgle isn't even a bad card, buffing it is a TERRIBLE idea. It's a great card in a terrible class. There's a reason it's in every single Paladin deck.

No. Their 1 sided equality should be fine. But for some retarded reason, Blizzard thinks the weakness of buff classes should be card draw, so it limits both classes significantly.

They should move Crystology to classic, and call it a day. That card was fantastic for early game tempo, and thinned their decks enough that they could run buffs.

Buhuhu, nerf this and that. I hate every single aggro deck (I really think it's a brainless type of deck to play) but I understand that a card game needs different types of decks. Can you please understand that The game needs slower, grindier decks?

Prior, even the slowest control decks would only average around 10 minutes in length.

This garbage is unhealthy for the game. Uninstalled it on my phone already because games last too long.

Res players and blizz enabling them are responsible for the game's death.

There is no reason to buff them instead of buffing basic they can stop printing power creep cards and basic will be more relevant again.

"There's no reason", *proceeds to list a good reason*.

The fucking idiocy of this forum is ridiculous. No wonder the only players left in this game are the ones who already had strong collections, and morons dumb enough to scam themselves out of $90 every expansion.

They need to switch over all of the cards. Basic cards should be the stronger variants, while the common cards in Classic should be the trash tiers, like Silverback Patriarch.

The paywall in this game is fucking stupid, and they completely gated accessibility to new players. They did the same shit to Heroes of the Storm and it killed it. I doubt Hearthstone will last much longer.

For all yall that get butthurt against rez priest just run a Terrorguard Escapee and stfu.

Running a tech card that's fucking awful doesn't resolve a situation.

Albatross is run because its a great tech against every Highlander, Pure Paladin, Spell Mage, and slows down card draw.

Its the same reason as to why we didn't see the armor destroyer run whenever Warrior was T1.

    Quote from Tuscarora87 >>

Priest is already t3 deck. HS Replays stats are for rank 20.

     Priest is T3.

Res Priest has consistently been a T1 deck. All their other decks are too weak, so it brings down their winrate.

Even if it wasn't, it drags out games for 30+ minutes, so as long as the playrate's high, the deck objectively needs nerfing.

Go troll in a different thread.

Except Warlock isn't getting nerfed, they are changing Sac Pact because people cried enough about Jaraxxus.

No they're not. That was an obvious joke/quip.

They're nerfing Sac Pact because its a 0 mana counter to all Demon Hunters.

Both classes are being nerfed because the entire meta right now is Demon Hunter/Demon Hunter counters. That's why they're dialing back both.

However neither Lock or DH make games go on for up to an hour. The dev team could lock the entire game to Demon Hunters for all I care if it meant disabling the crayon eater's choice deck of Res Priest.

The top 3 decks right now are Res Priest, Tempo DH, and Galakrond Warlock.

Warlock and DH are both being nerfed.

The top deck for prolonging game time to the point where you cant cant consider HS a "pick up and play" mobile game anymore is Priest. Its also the only class to be reworked, so it clearly has balance issues.

Tired of 30+ minute games. The atrocious lack of balancing is borderline laughable.

posted a message on Should Blizzard Buff Paladin?
    Quote from Geoff >>

From time to time every class is on top and every class is in a dumpster. Paladin had its time of glory with Midrange in GVG (still my favorite deck of all time) and much bigger one with Secret Paladin. Priest historically was in a dupmster - now it is the deck to complain about. Shaman? Lol, Shaman has a long history of both absolute top and absolute bottom.

There's a rotation of top and dumpster classes in Hearthstone and it goes really, really smoothly, unlike other things Blizzard takes care of. Really, you can't please everyone at the same time, so they are at least pleasing everyone from time to time.

Paladin is most likely the worst class nowadays - agree. So what? Priest was a laughingstock for so much time.

    No one's laughing now.

     That is hot fucking garbage.

Literally wrong about everything you just said. The last time Priest was in the dumpster was maybe ~3 years ago? Same with Paladin, and literally the only reason is that Paladin lost Crystology.

Shaman is a mid tier class right now, with strong control and wide evolution decks. The worst class right now is Warrior, if anything, and the strongest definitely isn't Priest, it's Druid or Warlock. Priests just have 30+ min running games that people just auto-concede in Priest matchups to save time.

And no, there is no top/bottom class rotation. Have you even played this game since GvG?

I have one question different from this, but since the thread is about Zephrys why not. Does Zephrys take into consideration the outcast effect (from initiate set of course )? I guess it should but I never had I chance to test that so did someone play Zephrys to get Eye Beam or something like that.

No because Zephrys doesn't take into account your hand

Edit: just realized what you meant nvm

Yes he does. If the enemy has 9 health, and you have an empty board with a fireball in hand, Zephrys will give you frostbolt so that you have lethal.

They constantly update Zephrys with new considerations and value weightings. They likely haven't coded him with any weighting on outcast effects.

There've been times in the past that they've had to adjust him because he didn't consider deathrattles, or weighted them too much, or considered high mana cards like Shirvallah to be the literal devil that must be purged at all costs.

posted a message on Was DH really a problem?..

"Win ratio on Kael'thas being drawn on time is ridiculous."

    I mean... Kael'thas is a combo piece.

If a Combo deck draws it's combo pieces, then they're going to win.

Because that's how combo decks work.

Blizzard is historically opposed to combos that are too oppressive in Standard to counterplay.

E.g. Mind Blast, Shudderwock/Chain Gang, Grim Patron, any Molten Giant combo, Raza Deathknight spam, Sn1pSn4p Priest.

posted a message on Should Blizzard Buff Paladin?
    Quote from Artimex723 >>

Here are some of my suggestions:  Libram of Wisdom --> from 2 to 3 mana ---> gives +2/+2 instead of +1/+1 ;                                          Murgur Murgurgle --> from 2 to 1 mana ;  Pharaoh's Blessing --> from 6 to 5 mana ;                                                     Lay on Hands --> from 8 to 6 mana ---> draws 2 cards instead of 3

I don't know if the buffs I proposed are good, but the question is the overall issue of Paladin's weakness. I want to listen to your opinion on this.

     Could Blizzard buff Paladin? Absolutely.

Should it be anything that you just listed? Fucking no. That's way too many buffs.

Except the Lay on Hands change. That's probably the only one you listed that would be a great change. Paladins lack any meaningful card draw, aside for literally two cycle cards. Lay on Hands has also been powercreeped by other healing spells for a long time. It's in need of an update. It comes far too late in the game, in a class that's far too reliant on mana.

After that? Nothing needs buffing. They have great tempo options, and both early/late drops. They just lack any meaningful card draw, and they rely too heavily on their Pure benefits for card generation, that Bad Luck Albatross just decimates them.

Alternatively, they could just move Crystology to their classic set. It would let Paladin actually play their reborn quest again, and give them a nice niche.

    Quote from thebignuts >>

It seems crazy to me how a 0 mana cost spell with 5 heal can destroy any minion on the board.

It should only work on Friendly minions, that way Jaraxxus will see play in the Meta.

Why do retards think that Sac Pact is what's stopping Jaraxxus in the meta?

He's a terrible fucking 9 drop. He's a 0 armor hero card with no Battlecry when he activates that locks you at 15 health. He literally has two full turns of zero tempo. He's a terrible fucking card by every definition.

Oh, im sorry. Did I forget the 3/8 weapon he equips? Such a shame you cant use it, since he can't afford to take any face damage without outright losing the game.

Let's not bullshit ourselves. Anyone saying Sac Pact is affecting Jaraxxus is absolutely full of shit. They're just retarded Demon Hunters who burned all their mana on a Fury Mistress, and then the Warlock swung the game for 0 mana.

The solution is simple: stop fucking up in your DH/Warlock matchup. Sac Pact is a 0 mana 5 health vs literally EVERY deck except DH/Warlock. This card does NOT need a nerf.

    Quote from Cyborn >>

Rez priest does not need a nerf because there are tons of cards countering it. My favorite is Zul'Drak Ritualist

    There are literally two.

Zul'drak and Terrorguard Escapee are garbage vs literally every other class and deck type. Which is the problem. A tech card needs to have general usage to actually be useful.

E.g. Bad Luck Albatross counters highlanders of every class. But it's still a great stat body when against non-highlander decks, and the two 1/1s slows down your opponent's draws.

Get good. Whining won't get you to legend.

Everyone started at bronze 10, do you really think those who reached legend play on a different MMR than you? They have access to the same cards as you do. There are stronger players on high ranks that's all it is. You felt you were good because of those star bonuses, you weren't. Anyone with enough star bonus can reach Diamond with a negative winrate. What a dummy.

If you built a face demon hunter deck from the get-go, you were pretty golden. I went from Silver 10 to Diamond 7 as soon as the xpac dropped. And that's just because I got bored and stopped playing.

On the 1st, if you played Dragon Hunter, likewise you were pretty golden. Getting Legend has never been hard.. It's just an absolute slog. Like before, a 51% winrate will get you there.
