Kovachut posted a message on Should I disenchant lakkari sacrifice?Posted in: Card Discussionimo
if you do, you will regret it in the future
it's not a worthless card, as you may think
but let's start - because it's a legendary, you wont get it that easily from a pack next time you open one
secondly - the reward will have better synergies in the future, even now you can make a decent mid-range deck, and i believe you will have fun playing it
let's talk about some quest rewards for a bit
for me the pala and especially the dudu quests aren't worth it - the dudu is very slow and it doesn't provide that much synergy (or at all), you just make the minions in your deck free, only Menagerie Warden can do something, but other than that no other interactions with the free minions (i will ignore Nourish, just drawing them is not so great)
- now back to the warlock quest - yes, you will lose tempo by playing it and you will lose cards as well and at the end you will think that the reward is not worth it. But hear me on this one - you shouldn't make an aggro or a control deck with it. You understand, that this will only slow down aggro and the control deck will lose its resources. So you should make a new type of deck, a mid-range one, that benefits from the reward. A guy had an idea about a deck like this. Look, you have to use the advantage of getting free minions - cards like Councilman or Argus help you with that + you can add elementals, just to discard them.
You may not be convinced, you may want to look for better options for the ladder, but I'm 100% sure, that the deck will find more and more tools with the upcoming expansions. Cards like the Cruel Dinomancer aren't good in a fast deck, but that doesn't mean that they are worthless. This particular card has a good effect and it is only possible, if you make a little bit slower deck - i believe playing him on turn 6,7 or 8 is not at the end of the game. -

Kovachut posted a message on Legendary Tier Crafting GuidePosted in: Card DiscussionWhich DK would you craft between warrior and hunter?
Well, I have the warr DK (as a small reference to Grayjudge's post).First of all, I will say, that this is a tough choice and you should ask more people's opinion about this, as well as being patient and not rushing the craft. The Hunter DK is a fun card, more fun to play in comparison to the warr DK. Who can say No to sewing beasts into bigger ones? This doesn't make it weak or noncompetitive though. In an environment, where you constantly face slow decks, having the ability to start playing big, if you feel like your opponents have recovered from your aggression, is really a powerful tool. The downside of the DK is that there isn't an optimal deck to support it in standard. If we had more ways to clear the board, to heal, maybe to draw, then the DK would most definitely be part of all of this. Or just strong plays like those in pre-nerfed Murlocadin. The warr DK, however, is a tough card to make a deck around. Tricky, but a nice challenge for the deck-builder. Normally I have a theory about the potential of the DKs - building decks around them, when mainly concentrating on 1) the battlecry 2) the HP. How can this be translated into the context of the warr decks? - for the first part I expect tempo decks, for the second some kind of combo decks.
So in theory the warr DK has more play field than the hunter one, because there isn't a build, which mostly profits from the 2 dmg ping battlecry. However, we have to take into consideration, that FWA was nerfed recently. So unless we see some nice support next expansion, I feel the warr DK will step back at being popular. That's my opinion about those two cards. The first one being a strong and a fun one, the second - strong, but only in the right hands. -

Kovachut posted a message on Legendary Tier Crafting GuidePosted in: Card DiscussionShould I craft Lyra the Sunshard or Prophet Velenfor Highlander Priest.
In all honesty, I don't know how the next meta will turn out to be. I will always think, that Prophet Velen is more of a meta specific card, so I would say don't craft him, even though he is a staple in current HIghlander priest decks. Tbh I don't remember the last time I saw the priest's classic legendary being used. Maybe somewhere back in LoE, when control priest had all the strong wild cards (and the card pool was small).Lyra on the other hand proved to be a safe craft due to various reasons. She was strong in silence priest, in control, in miracle and I even believe, that in some dragon decks she was also included. Not to mention in current Raza priest. Soo she will definitely be strong in the next expansion, my money on that. -

elmertagra posted a message on Results & Top Decks From WSOE 2Posted in: Newsdont expect spell hunter and deathrattle hunter to be a good deck in the rotation this April, a lot of their power cards are from Kobolds and Catacombs and Wrath of the Lich King. Zul'jin, i think will still be a good card, Secret Hunter will still be a decent deck, as Subject Nine, Secret Keeper, and a lot its cards are from the classic set

lite0 posted a message on Results & Top Decks From WSOE 2Posted in: NewsPlease forgive my ignorance but I am assuming WSOE is standard. I noticed that there is no spell hunter even though Zul'jin is supposed to be meta defining. Oondasta, on the other hand, made the list.
For a casual player like me, does this have significance? Or will only time tell? Could somebody read the tea leaves and chicken bones for me?
Deathrattle hunter is generally an insane deck and more proven and consistent in in tournament play.

"The Headless Horseman Rides brawl will be active from October 25 to the 28."
Hey that was my idea! That is so cool! I am happy.

I am so glad that I don't need that quest to make this kind of deck. It is getting expensive to play all the cool different kinds of decks.

This is on my watch list. I am predicting that given time and additional nerfs... this will probably be a must craft...

One idea, i would like to see is a parallel tavern brawl that bans large chunks of cards across the mana curve per week.
There are so many layers of good cards that never see play because there are slightly better cards.
The meta would stay fresh with less permanent molten giant changes.
A new standard would cycle wild and standard cards together allowing for great game play.

In my opinion, Elise the Trailblazer is worth the dust. You will have it in standard for two years and has insane value. There may be better cards for you but I wouldn't know... I think it is the best neutral legendary from Ungoro. I think that Lich King is the best neutral legendary from the Frozen Throne expansion. Even those who speak against getting it say "u wont waste ur dust ."
Show us your collection and people smarter than me can help you pick the best legendary.
Again, it would be nice to see Zerosha's collection.
Good Luck, Have Fun!

Thank you. Like others said, I got it my first attempt once I had the opening pieces. The game totally didn't go as planned and I thought I was going to lose but I got a Brrrloc from his deck and was able to freeze face on turn 6. Turn 7 I froze the board, played part of the combo and he took out one of my combo pieces (Sorcerer's Apprentice ) I already had another Molten Reflection from the Primordial Glyph and I played the rest of the combo on turn 8 and won.
This was a very wild game that did not go as I expected! I am missing the second Ice Block so I put in Brann Bronzebeard instead to help with drawing cards. On turn 8 I was down to one card in my deck!
I didn't pull Emperor until it was too late and I still won.
This is a very good deck!

The biggest opportunity that Blizzard has to improve their ability to serve the community is to have more than one day set aside for Hall of Fame movement. It is silly to think that the meta will not surprise them! They should have all options on the table, all the time.

In my opinion you are kind of in a tough spot but you are not hopeless. If I were you I would focus on getting more cards. Do not disenchant cards because it will limit your options long term. I would recommend you play casual mode and (rank mode until you get to rank 20) in order to complete daily quests. You may want to focus on quests that are easy to complete like playing a certain number of class cards. I noticed that you only have 4 Kara cards. This might be a good place to start building your collection. Investing in pretty much any card pack type will yield a high percent of new cards for you (except classic).
(Have you beat all AI on expert with every class? There is no way to check expect doing it.)
Stop investing in classic cards.
If new to MSG, Open 10 packs of MSG for a new legendary. (unless you already disenchanted cards then I don't know where you are at).
I am confused on your progress with Ungoro packs... 1 legendary, 4 epics, 7 rares and 46 cards total. Either you are extremely lucky or you have been disenchanting your cards. Even still the evidence looks like you may be close to a second legendary there.
At minimum I would invest in one wing of Kara (pay with gold).
Heartharena is a good website to help you with arena runs. You are looking for 3 wins to break even and 4 wins to come out ahead. Arena is a good idea for you if you can at least hit 3 wins.
Good Luck
