I had this experience with a deck I made from Gadgetzan. People never expect Pilfered Power, so they never play around it and it often wins me games. I'd like to adapt (pun intended) this deck for Un'Goro sometime soon.
I hate myself and it goes against the spirit of this thread but I'm copying that, looks like fun. Wild is fair game for ridiculousness.
For standard I like rocking Renounce or Explore Un'Goro decks, sometimes shove in a Malchezaar and autocomplete too so if I don't know what I'm playing with there is no way my opponent does.
My most memorable games have come from these. Win rate?, not really my priority.
Once I touted my Golden Rogue (earned back in the Oil days) with pride, not so much these days.
Same with my Golden Warrior (non-pirate).
I had hopes for this expansion, now seriously considering giving my near-complete collection of vaguely playable Wild & Standard cards away to someone that wants to invest their time in this perpetually unbalanced shyte.
I suspect my spare time is better spent elsewhere.
I'm over 500 for the first time ... ever, I think. I usually can't resist a pack opening.
I hit the pity timers/got legendary lucky on all packs recently so it's all going towards the expansion now. Pre-ordered too, Miracle Hunter incoming ...
Purchased but I wasn't as quick this time. I think this expansion will make or break HS for some long time players.
Peter Whalen being the lead designer gave me some hope.
My time is worth way more than the grind so I don't mind paying for a hobby. But might consider my options if this turns into another unbalanced aggro-fest.
I haven't. I only enjoy playing as rogue. Currently rank 2 with miracle.
Pirate rogue was almost viable back in the day, I crafted Greenskin for it. StrifeCro had a good go at making it work.
The warrior version is disgusting and I doubt the pirate tribe will able to live it down. For shame Blizzard, for shame.
On topic, I have played the Warrior Wild version with Ship's Cannons just to see what it played like. I enjoyed neither winning nor losing and quit after the first well-deserved friend request ... Back to Reno Hunter for Wild ...

Nuts to crafting legendaries, craft 'Explore Un'Goro' if you don't have it, lob Prince Malchezaar into the deck and let the Innkeeper autocomplete it.
Just me? OK.
I find the game way more fun the less I think (and copy popular decks) and the more I play.

1560 short of crafting Noggenfogger, which I will do just for the dubious laughs one day if I don't pull him soon.
I'm going the full Yoggenfogger deck.

I'm running a variation of this again in Wild, I'd forgotten how much fun it is.
Nuts to the meta.

I've pre-ordered on the faith that Peter Whalen (Dream Quest, love it) knows what he's doing.
If this turns into a repeat of previous quickly stale aggro-centric metas then my time and $ will go elsewhere.
I agree this is a pivotal expansion for people who have been playing a while.

Maybe related to the known card tapping bug introduced with the latest patch?
Minimising your hand apparently reduces crashes.
