posted a message on Is anyone else pissed about Classic cards moving to Wild?

    These are great progressive changes.

The way they handled the free dust thing and comments about giving Wild some more love restores some of my faith in the development team.

Change is inevitable and necessary for the health of the game.

Sure some people will miss playing their favourites in Standard (I have all the cards being rotated out) but life moves on.

I see this as an overwhelmingly positive move.

posted a message on Addicted? How much do you play?
    Quote from csguba >>

Similar to some other people I used to play a significant amount, on days off I could spend half the day playing. Now I'm playing a lot less, only really to keep on top of quests every couple of days. I'm not sure why, I just feel like the game is less fun right now to play than before.

To add to Tze's valid point I think if you've been playing the game for a while and absorbed so much streaming/discussions then it's bound to feel like more of the same but with a few different cards.
There will always be net decking tryhards to stomp on the more experimental decks. Not saying this is wrong because the system allows it but there isn't an environment that suits people who like to homebrew and have what I think is fun. I go to Wild these days mostly.
It took me ages to realise the community and net decking existed and I sometimes wish I'd just stuck to playing the game instead of 'studying' it. I suspect a break is in order.

posted a message on Addicted? How much do you play?

I knock the quests over, preferably with some goofy deck and then play whatever I find most entertaining for a few games.

Reno Inspire Priest right now ... and I usually hate priest.

Long games so not laddering material

posted a message on How many different decks do you play?

My deck slots are full and split equally between wild and standard keeping one free for a cheesy quest completion deck or whatever an entertaining off meta streamer has been trying to make work.

Which one I play depends on mood. I have golden Rogue and Warrior (pre Patches!) so I'm less likely to play those.

Mage is next closest so I'll probably favour a Reno build.

I don't try to ladder seriously so it's more about the enjoyment for me.

Always nice to see ppl spending their hard earned cash on imaginary digital childrens card game

I agree, it is nice to see "ppl" who have disposable income, enjoy the game and have reasoned that their time is worth more than the grind spending some cash, hard earned or not.
It is gratifying to see a comment such as this in a sea of largely gibberish and I recommend all read it and absorb as gospel.

posted a message on Is the first week of Ladder season always this hard?

I got my golden rogue back in the Oil days, I love the class but I can only stand playing a full thief build these days for laughs. I tend to be at lower ranks because I just don't have time to play much these days and when I do it tends to be some dodgy gimmick deck.

I have most of the cards but little time and not much more motivation right now given the state of Curvestone so destined to prowl the lower ranks.

I am also rubbish at the game so feel free to laugh at my golden face as you smash it in.

    Quote from KungFuPasta >>

I'd like to see a decklist for Murloc Priest! Sounds fun!

I don't have the list to hand but I think I got mine from Noxious who playing a variant with double Confuse. It's the only kind of Priest I can stand playing. I even crafted the second Confuse for it ... I too like shenanigans but play both ladders because I'm easily distracted and have most of the cards.

posted a message on Ever think you've lost to a hack?

I'm not one for conspiracy theories but I have seen some very weird disconnect/hang events just before I'm about to obviously win (and no chance of opponent bursting me down). Reconnecting did not help.

Not often (or recently) but enough to suspect there is/was some exploit out there.

Having said that I'm perfectly capable of regularly stuffing up in a big way so it isn't the reason I haven't made legend yet. ;)

I already have all class legendaries. Do you think it's worth the dust?

I've got most of the Standard and Wild competitive cards (only Onyxia to go really) and I'll get this just for the value.
Blizzard really do know how to rake the $ in. I'm not complaining though, I get plenty of entertainment out of both playing the game and following the scene around it.

posted a message on Should I craft astral communion?

I have all the big cards, love playing gimmicky decks and have a ridiculous Astral deck on standby for laughs.

Having said this I wouldn't craft the card, it's way too inconsistent and as others have said a solid standard ramp is better.

Having said that I'm not deleting my deck, too much fun when it works.

posted a message on I got my first Legendary and it's...Xaril. Should I just dust it?
    Quote from OldKeith >>

Despite having dropped from almost every rogue deck, I think it helps the Giants Miracle rogue quite a lot. Don't dust it.

It's in my Giant(s) Reno Rogue too, full of shadowstepping shadowcasting shenanigans.
Competitive? Probably not. Fun? I think so.
Which reminds me, must chuck Yogg in there ...

    Quote from RWBYSanctum >>

Just reading through, seems like a lot of creative decks centre around Rogue. That makes me happy.

Me too. If it can be shadowstepped or shadowcasted for maximum shenanigans I'm all in. Add in Reno of course.
I could just vomit down dragon warrior but where da fun in that?

Johnny-Timmy for me. It's a game, it's meant to be fun and nobody cares where I am on the ladder, least of all me.

The Coin ... I always find a use for it.

Closely followed by another vote for Blade Flurry (RIP, I might just play it anyway in my next junky Rogue deck for laughs). Loved oil rogue, got me my golden portrait.

And I can't forget Reno, awesome design. Got to get me some shadow stepping action on later.
