Even Goblins and Gnomes had way less RNG than Kobolds and Catacombs. And we haven't even seen all the cards yet.

SoulHero7 posted a message on Kobolds & Catacombs - Hearthstone's Seventh ExpansionPosted in: GuidesRecruit actually is 100% random though. It's not like Discover or Adapt where you have a choice in the randomness.
- Cards with the Recruit keyword immediately summon minions from your deck and put them into play. Some cards recruit minions that match certain conditions; others recruit randomly chosen minions.
So far only Guild Recruiter limits the randomness a bit with it's Recruit effect, and I'm sure there will be others, but if you play a card like Gather Your Party, it's literally a spell version of Y'Shaarj, Rage Unbound that works instantly. Unless there's proof from Blizzard that Recruit works like Discover or Adapt, then it's pure randomness.

YJHS2000 posted a message on New Paladin Minion - HydrologistPosted in: Card DiscussionI think I recall Blizzard saying that if a class with secrets played this card, they'd be offered secrets from their class (as expected), but if a non-secret class played this, they'd be offered Paladin secrets.

Whenever an RNG effect happens, it has either the best or worst possible outcome and Brodesaurus explains why it's good for the game.

EchO1088 posted a message on Miracle Jade Rogue [RANK 5+]Posted in: Miracle Jade Rogue [RANK 5+]Took out one Azure Drake, one Jade Spirit and Bloodmage Thalnos for an additional Fan of Knives and two Questing Adventurer seems to work better.
I found that I wasn't playing the Jade Spirits on curve and often had an extra in my hand, the Thalnos wasn't providing much value and I found with two auctioneers I didn't need the card draw from Azure...the fan of knives is good in this meta + provides cycle that I'm losing from Azure and Bloodmage, and the two questing adventurers require the opponent to remove them or become big quick.

So this decks early game, is literally an archetype...pirates here we go! It seems to transition into jade quite smoothly, substituting jade that can't fit because of Reno, you add in deathrattles and N'Zoth for your late game, also apparently fatigue is something you expect to be dragged through...this deck seems like it has a multi-personality disorder or is really paranoid. This mostly works because of what I would call a surprise Reno. I want it, I just need 540 dust for this deck. So 480 more to go!

Mr. G, I think that the lack of Wild components plus an unbelievable number of legendaries in perfect increments; not only justifies those last 3 periods, but it almost proves your unstated point

I like the Light Spawn + Inner Fire combo! Fuckin nuts up good that is! Although is there any replacments for wisp? TO2 exPensives. :(((((

Why would you add Onyxia? The goal is to protect yourself and pull off the Malygos combos before your opponent can kill you. Onyxia would be a half ass finisher that just ignores the deck archetype in place for extra damage. It would be good to remove minions, but why do that when you can use a Taunt or just a board clear like Twisting Nether? It's too slow for the deck sadly.
