True, but you have to note that paladins didn't get a good AoE until Boomsday. For a long time all they had was equality + pyromancer/consecration, while other classes improved their arsenal with nice removals (we warlocks got defile and spellstone, mages got dragon's fury, meteor, priests got scream, mass hysteria etc etc, The list goes on and on and I am not even mentioning already rotated cards). I really hope paladins get a good board wipe next expansion.
Yeah, there's a reason for that. If every class was good at everything, what's the point of having different classes? Warlock, Mage and Priest are the kings of mass removal, of course they got good options. Paladin can get mass stat changes and some AoE, but combined with Pyromancer they got a mass clear very cheaply, which encroaches on other classes design space too much.
Removing class weaknesses is what got us Cubelock/Control Warlock (when Warlock got good healing in Lesser Amethyst Spellstone, Dark Pact and Bloodreaver Gul'dan), oppressive Druid (when Spreading Plague gave Druid good anti-Aggro board presence) or many people's most hated Hunter card, Deathstalker Rexxar (which gives Hunter card advantage and healing, both traditional weaknesses).

Just jam this package into control warrior and you have a proactive control deck in a class that specializes in single target removal and armor gain. Pretty awesome

Ok so the game is moving away from infinite value. That leaves 3 grindy control decks: Shaman, Warrior, and Rogue. Rogue has the worst healing, but makes up for it with insane value and tempo. Shaman has lots of value generators and is ok at tempo, but lacks consistent defence and explosive plays. Warrior has the healing and value, but lacks the tempo.
Wow guys I think blizzard is actually learning to balance the game.

It's more that we've already had a dozen threads for people to complain this week...

Rogue had been able to go infinite since lab recruiter, and that saw no play. Radically different meta, but I'm not expecting it to be that much beer than what rogue already has

Over five thousand dust for people who already have those cards... pretty nice

Its more for thematic purposes. Greymane decks aren't supposed to contain any even cost cards, which the quest is. If that was allowed, it would just feel weird in general.
