I think my favorite thing about this deck layout is just how versatile it is with Play Dead. When using a Hunter Deck, typically you have to go aggro/secret/midrange, but I think this deck gives players some great options, based on opponent's play style. So you can react, instead of adhering to your deck type.
I like Leper Gnome/Play Dead as a good aggro start, or potential one turn finisher end game. Without knowing how Death Knight tokens will play in meta, Arfus is kind of the wild card of the group. But looking at their effects, this is another huge Play Dead partner.
I think one of the big weaknesses of the deck is large removal, which is the reason for the Freezing Traps. After testing, might option them for Hunter's Mark. Cheaper and might synergize better with the death rattle effects.

5 Mana 4/4 with Scavenging Hyena, stealth poisonous.
Good finisher card there, too high of health for a lot of mass board removal, and can build on itself

Agreed. Multi-minion removal isn't something I'm leery of when facing off again Priest.

Hoping for some constructive feedback.

Rat Pack + Duskboar
Get the initial 6 dmg on turn of play, relatively cheap at 5 mana. Then spawn 6 1/1's on death

It's one mana away from being viable I think. Should have been a 3 mana card.

All of a sudden, Angry Chicken becomes very viable
