posted a message on My Tempo/Control Deck (Help please!)

Well I caved and crafted a second Blade Flurry.  I still don't know why assassinates aren't used more often.  I'm tempted to just cave and craft a BGH, although I really want to wait til 1600 to get the Bloodmage Thalnos.  I just have trouble against control druids and shamans still since I lack that true answer to big scary minions.  Maybe I suck, I donno haha.  I'll try this out a little while longer...

I have swapped out the Spiteful Smith (since he was mainly there for Defender of Argus earlier) and something else, put in two Harvest Golems to help with early pressure.  Also, I did swap out the defenders for Shieldmastas.  Sometimes the deck works amazingly, and sometimes I just struggle haha.

I like to use the Defender of Argus on my Argent squires and Spiteful Smith, as well as my Azure Drakes in some other circumstances.  I don't really know why people don't use Assassinate; I understand it's a high cost, but I love being able to just kill anything I'm up against.  If I got some Big Game Hunters, I might be more inclined to to remove the Assassinates... I always enjoy the card draw that Fan of Knives gives me, but I can see why they might not be that good.  I just like to have as many possible AoE cards as I can, in case a zoo deck gets out of control, or if I need to double FoK against a miracle deck, though that requires me to have a Kobold Geomancer out for maximum effect.

Also, I saw in another thread here that people use Shiv more, instead of the Loot Hoarder.  Is that strictly better for miracle decks, or should I consider that as well in this deck?

Anyways, thanks for the help.  I'll implement some of these changes, and see where it gets me.

    Loading Collection

This is my control/tempo deck, and it seems to work a lot of the time.  However, it seems like if I don't get a backstab in the first couple turns, I just snowball hard, in the wrong direction.  I'm kinda stuck between rank 10-12 with it.  Can someone help nudge me in a better direction?  Just some notes on what I've learned:

I used to play with Ysera, but I found she was too slow for my liking.
I do not have Ragnaros yet, but I'm sure he will be the next legendary I craft (does he even fit in this deck?).
I seem to be able to kill zoolocks most days, but even then, if I don't get that backstab, I fall behind.
Further on my second point, my next legendary might be Bloodmage Thalnos instead.  Perhaps that would give this deck the extra power it needs?

I love rogue.  I feel like they have the best potential of making any game go in the direction they want.  I just need a little extra help I think.

It really depends on what versatility you want.  Tirion if you love playing paladin.  Cairne if you love playing everything else.

posted a message on 1000 games won, and now I am done

I remember when I first started playing this game, I was thinking "It's not that great. It's just like Magic, except I don't have to spend any money."  A few seconds later, I realized that I DON'T HAVE TO SPEND ANY MONEY and can still be quite competitive.  I'm surprised at how long this thread has been going haha.  It's quite amusing.

Basically, I just think the time invested to get good cards is not a big deal.  If you want to spend all the money, great.  If not, it's still great haha.  This argument is so pointless from both sides.

I don't know if my opinion here matters at all (sounds like a lot of opinions are being thrown around in here), but I have little problem facing a bunch of Ragnaroses or Leeroys or whatever.  Yes, it is annoying, but you can deal with it.  I've only read the past page, so I don't know if you don't like them because you play only cards that can't counter them (ie, not using polymorph/assassinate/hex/taunts/whatever else).  Honestly, the one deck that aggravates me THE MOST is the Unleash the Hounds hunter deck, which is every single hunter deck lol.

I should also say, yes, I have paid a bit. I have spent $20 on packs, and every now and then I purchase an arena run, because I have more fun in arenas.

Edit: Just saw that you were the topic creator here, and that you have won 1000 games. Congratulations! However, this makes me wonder even more why you still think this is P2P.

All I'm trying to say is, sure, it's a tiny advantage.  If you build a good enough deck consisting of solid blues and even some solid purples, you will do just fine.  Ask someone for help building a decent deck instead of bitching here.

posted a message on Anatak's Ranked Grinding Stream

So, I'm very new to the whole streaming world.  I'd stream more if I somehow got followers haha.  So, I figured I'd try to recruit here.

I am currently a very low rank.  I intend to climb in time.  I typically play midrange/control decks (typically rogue and paladin, sometimes priest).  I'll stream lots when I do arena runs.

I will also be streaming League of Legends soon, if anyone cares about that.  I have not played it since December, so it might be good for a good laugh if you want to see a former average player be very awful for a while haha.

My stream name at twitch is Anatak15.

Anyways, I will post here again once I'm at a rank that's worth actually watching maybe =P.

posted a message on Sea Giant

From what I can tell, the Sea Giant is useless lol.  The Molten Giantand Mountain Giant are great when paired with a Defender of Argus or a Sunfury Protector.  The Mountain Giant is more useful with the warlock though, obviously.

I play for fun, but I also play to keep gold cards haha.  Getting enough dust for cards I want has been very slow going.  I've got a gold Wisp and a gold Sea Giant that I'll never use, but they look nice, so I hold on to them lol.

posted a message on Legendary Tier Crafting Guide

Currently, I have Ysera, Deathwing, and Loremaster Cho... I see that Cho is in the DE all the time tier, but it still scares me DE'ing a legendary haha.  Is he actually that useless?

Also, I can never find a good reason to use Deathwing.  I can remember one single time that he won the game for me, but most of the time, I just let him sit in him hand because the time never feels right.  I'm tempted to DE him as well.  If I DE these two cards, I'll have enough to craft whatever I want (leaning towards Leeroy or Ragnaros).

If Deathwing is actually useful sometimes, can someone lead me to a deck he's good in?  He was the very first legendary I got, so I tried very hard to appreciate him haha.  I would also like to hear about which card would be better to create (Leeroy, Ragnaros, Black Knight, or Bloodmage Thalnos are the 4 I have at least considered).  I play lots of control/aggro rogue and control priest, for whatever that's worth.
