posted a message on UNPOPULAR OPINION: I LOVE Hearthstone's New Update
    Quote from fjl93 >>

I mean, he's a noob and a troll... But I also like the new system. It gives a lot more things to casual players and it punishes dumb agro players that only play for grinding gold... Grinders will complain, but I think it's toxic to the game having a bunch of dudes playing the same cheap efficient shitty decks just for getting more gold... Which they'll never use, since they'll keep playing the same decks over and over...

People here in fact is ignoring facts. It seems that they didn't saw Hearthstone Mathematic videos, which made the PROPER math, since most of those dumb reddit posts didn't counted the cards you get from the rewards. Getting 2 legendaries GUARANTEED is just insane. You'll also get a bunch of packs and a considerable amount of gold. Remember that 1 legendary = 40 packs (average)...

Is it perfect? It isn't. But you can build a much bigger and fair system from this one than the other dumb "play agro 9hs a day and grind a lot of gold per day" dumb system.

I truly believe this system has so much potential to be great.  It was just rolled out very poorly.  It doesn't feel as fun and exciting as they made it seem (at least to me).

I'm still optimistic they'll improve it, even though they've given me no reason to feel that optimism haha.  The game isn't quite as expensive as some people make it seem, but a lot of this outrage isn't completely unfounded either.  My biggest problem with this whole thing is the lack of any kind of response from Blizzard.  Even if they simply said "You are right (whether they believe that or not) - we have to tweak some exp rewards.  We are looking into this."  People probably would be a lot calmer.  They'd still be upset!  But it wouldn't be this bad.

posted a message on Remove Tickatus from the game already.

I understand that you're angry about the card, and the anger is coming through in this post.  But, honestly, it is a ridiculous card that probably should never have been made haha.  If it was 6 mana 6/6 it would still be played.  Even 4/4, it would still be played (although at that point it would be just for annoying the opponent, and it would belong in the priest pool).  Tickatus is one of my top 3 reasons for switching games (for now at least).  Also, if I didn't switch games, Tickatus is the top reason I play only aggro any more.

Here's hoping the game can revert to its former glory one day!

I feel like a lot of the complaints come from people who play "less than average", if we assume average is roughly 1 hour per day (or 7 hours per week).

To me, it sounds like people want to get a ridiculous amount of rewards for playing, say, 3 hours per week?  That doesn't make any sense to me.  If you want rewards, you have to slightly grind.  I think the new system is either a sidegrade or better than the old system.  Factor in the potential pro that getting achievements "feels good"... I don't know why so many people complain.  People just love to focus on negativity, and then they complain about why everything sucks haha.

You have a Naruto Profile picture. Are you old enough to say something like that? Do you realize that many ppl work, study and just used to play HS by 2-3hours a day, for 30 days and was really okay with that? Get some responsability in your life first than you can come back here and speak of adults.

For what it's worth, I'm a 31 year old accountant, working full time (and overtime actually), even during these Covid times haha.  Sorry I have expendable money to play games that I enjoy.  Maybe wait until you're out of your crazy partying college days before committing to video games that require some grinding time.

Also, sorry that I happen to love anime (Naruto in particular haha).  Feels completely irrelevant to this discussion.  I even fully weebed out and got myself an Itachi tattoo, but maybe we can talk about that in off topic forum threads =P.

(side note: the "89" in my username/battle tag refers to, surprise, my birth year haha, so I'll let you confirm the math on my mentioned age at the start of this post)

posted a message on Scholar Jaina & Horseman Uther Will Receive Unique Voice Lines In A Future Patch

I've actually kinda thought about that.  If they put more effort into Headless Uther, they probably could have increased the price of the pack bundle by like $5, and I think they might have sold even more.  Feels like a missed opportunity on their part.

Having said that, I might buy the bundle now that I know headless Uther will be slightly unique haha.  Even though I already have Arthas, and I don't even play paladin much these days haha.

posted a message on Someone with a better grasp of statistics chime in

I once heard that, out of all games, once you're at your "skill cap", 40% of the games you will just win, 40% of the games you will just lose, and 20% of the games are decided by your own skill.  I think some League of Legends streamer came up with this idea, but you can apply the same theory here.  Maybe adjust the percentages a bit if you'd like.

Basically, all I'm trying to say is there will always be some games that you will simply lose (because you had bad luck or your opponent had great luck) or games that you will flat out win (because vice versa).  It's that middle percent that is really satisfying to win, and if you've played long enough, you can usually tell which games were more decided by actual skill.  Of course luck still applies a bit in those games as well, but guess what, that's kinda the nature of competitive card games haha.

    Quote from nexit1337 >>

it's as if someone cant read the fine print under the card nerfs

Secret Passage, Cabal Acolyte, and Darkglare will be eligible for a full dust refund for 2 weeks after the 18.2 patch goes live.

Ummmm I think that's exactly what OP is trying to address lol.

Honestly though, Warlock just needs another Voidlord level card for this to be good.  I'm sure they will get some big scary demons to build around with this card over the next year and a half.

posted a message on Where are u now glide guys

It's such a situational card, and that's why it is nowhere near as good as some people might have you believe.  Yes, it is a good tech card against some combo/control decks, but even then it has niche uses.

The problem with it is, if it does ever screw someone over, it will feel very bad and un-fun.  Bottom line: it's not a great card but it has potential to be very unfun (similar to Mindreader Ilucia - but some say priest's class identity is being unfun, so maybe it's okay there =P).

posted a message on Fun decks in scholomance?

I'm really having fun with weapon rogue.  It seems to be well matched up against most archetypes out there (although, yes, a druid can still high roll ramp against you).  Dr. Krastinov + Self Sharpening Sword can both help you put some immense pressure on the enemy.

It's also just fun to play rogue with stealth cards.  It should have been part of their class identity from the very beginning haha.

posted a message on I Am Disappointed in the Hearthpwn Community

Yeah the Hearthpwn community has been a little whiny for a long time.  I think everyone kinda knows that haha.

I think there is potential for their new system as long as it's done right.  All we can do is wait and see if that is the case haha.  They know it's a touchy subject, so I'm sure they're gonna try their best to make sure everything's done right.  Maybe an optimistic view?  But I prefer to think optimistically rather than focus on so much negativity, which people love to do lol.  It's sad really.
