Heading into the new season at the very bottom of it all but still hope to be a better player than before. Still haven't found a perfect Witchwood deck for me (fun + competitevley strong), but I have been lucky so far with Spiteful Big Priest (Anti-Cubelock version), so this is still going to be my best option. Trying Spiteful Druid (somewhat 50%), Taunt Druid (high potential but feels like it depends HEAVILY on cards you draw in the right moment). Still trying to make a fun/decent mage deck since it's my favourite class in the game, but can't see a deck I would adore. (Murloc mage is pretty cool but I don't have any Gentle Megasaurs and they are staple in there, so...). Also having fun with Meat Wagon / Summoning Portal Warlock and a Toxic Quest Hunter every once in a while. And thinking of playing Even Shaman a little more this season.
Ah we finally have an official post again haha. Didn't have it in April when I made it by April 8 =(.
I'm gonna try again this month, although I'm kinda busy most weekends. My favorite decks lately are control priest, big spell mage, and token druid (sometimes odd or miracle rogue, if I feel like going back to my roots haha). Control priest is alright, but fails against lots of good decks in the meta (stupid Shudderwock shamans lol, druids, quest warriors). Big Spell mage is very strong against most decks, but the games take 15 years to play. Also, again, loses to Shudderwock haha. Hate those super polarizing matchups that I automatically lose (I still think they're necessary to keep my big spell mage from being built too greedily lol =P). I think I'm gonna take token druid all the way. I played it to a 8-1 clip towards the end of last season. Just gotta give it a full month haha.

Well, I went on a roll with Spell Hunter until I hit a wall around rank 8 against a ton of control/quest warriors. I'll likely keep grinding with that or try my luck with Odd Paladin so I can have some fodder for those dang hero power fireballs.
I've been getting stuck at rank 1 the past couple seasons, and I was one win away at one point, but I can't seem to make that final push. Any tips or decks I could try? Thanks.

If you're making it to rank 1 with a specific deck, I recommend sticking to that deck. Sometimes it can be tough, but if you start a day and you lose 3 in a row right away, try walking away, even if just for half an hour. Similarly, if you find on a day you're just hot and nothing seems to stop you, keep playing (I know, it sounds extremely nerdy to say haha). There have been nights where I say to myself "I'll just go to sleep when I lose" and then rattle off 8 in a row. I always feel like tomorrow-me can handle it because he'll be in a better mood for getting that huge win streak haha.
Try not to tinker too too much. You can try to sub in and out one or two cards at a time, but you have to remind yourself that the deck got you that far, so it's unfair to the deck to alter it a lot haha.

Made it to rank 1 last season. I just started playing two seasons ago and hopeing to hit legend this month. Was playing even Paladin but after the nerfs I crafted even shaman and going to stick that out for the foreseeable future. My toughest matchup seems to be control priest. I know It’s a terrible matchup for me but any tips would be great!
Pushed from 13 to 8 yesterday evening with Spiteful Druid, and if I can get back to 10 fast enough, I hope I can finally get to 5 this month. Hopefully within the next 3 days, beacuse I want to disenchant Spiteful Summoner while I still can.
I have not been playing any hearthstone in the last 10 days, short after I hit legend last season so I'm still getting used to the new meta. I'm struggling to figure out the matchups even with tier 1 decks. It just seems like there is no unwinnable games (thank you quest rogue nerf) especially in control vs. control. I jammed 10 games with Taunt Druid netting 6-4 atm but it doesn't feel like it's a good meta call (I'm looking at you Warrior players that tech in the annoying 2/6 taunt that gives me raptors :P). Since I'm on the quest of getting all golden heroes, I'm looking to play mainly the classes for which I have less than 500 wins in ranked which are: Druid, Warrior and Shaman. I'm asking for advice about Token Druid: how are you guys feeling playing this decks? Good and bad MUs? I never played it and just looking at the list I really cannot figure if it can beat control decks with consistency since I only face Quest Warrior, Cubelocks and Taunt Druids on the ladder atm. Also I was wondering: is the Warrior Quest worth crafting? I have all the other cards for the deck but it doesn't look particularly strong to me.
Anyway good luck to everyone for this season climb ;)
So since we have been in this control heavy meta, for this next season I think I’m going to incorporate Miracle Rogue. Seems crazy, but so far I’m seeing decent success with it, especially since most players are trying to prep against aggro.
I ended the season at Rank 4 but my highest Rank was 3. I spent most of the month at Rank 5 until the nerfs and with a solid Control Mage list I advanced to Rank 3. The list is posted on twitter @xericthomas.
I have decided, since I started this months season at Rank 7, to try out Even Shaman. I feel like the beginning of the season is always full of Tempo/Rush decks and Even Shaman deals with them well. Let's see how we do but my list currently has won me 5 games in a row so I am hopeful. If you'd like to see the deck in action I'll be playing it the next couple streams on my twitch channel TWITCH.TV/XXERICTHOMAS come hangout. All advice and suggestions are welcome.
I have been playing pretty much token druid exclusively the past week. Climbed from rank 5 to rank 1 with it. Then just ran out of time to make that final push. Token druid is super strong. I have had games where i pretty easily burst the opponent for 30-40 and it just always surprises them and it feels so good. Definitely has some problems against control priest but other than that most match ups feel pretty good! Good luck!

Our third month of The Witchwood!
Murloc Paladin, Cubelock, Inner fire priest, Odd rogue, Taunt druid and kingsbane are my decks of choice

Stuck at Rank 2.
I was stuck at rank 2 for the longest time and then switched from odd paladin to even warlock and made it to legend 10-1
I think I know what I'm talking about.
Glad to see this being officially back, been missing the discussion.
Started off at Rank 6 and quickly climbed to Rank 4 with Quest Warrior that is teched against Taunt Druid.
I invested in Reno cause I heard you could get rich quick, now I'm broke.
I'm stuck in a moment, I can't get out of.

Rank 1 last month.
this month is the good one. I wish I’ll be legend for the first time in june.

Thanks all and see you on ladder.
I suck so like rank 16, but I'm trying a token druid, while still using a spell hunter from time to time.
Im gonna try baku hunter.
Yeah, I know some people hate it, but c'mon ppl aggro has a place in this game, baku hunter isnt even high winrate.
I just find something reassuring about the mid-lategame reach of the hero power.
