Yeah animations skipping over turns has been a thing for ages now. It used to be done with Nozdormu, and then when Un'goro hit, Shadow Visions joined the skipping turn crew. Not really much to do about it other than click on the cards as soon as they show up and bitch about it to blizzard since it's been a known issue and still hasn't been fixed.
As for battlecries canceling out once the turn ends, this simply would not work due to latency and networking and stuff. Like if I had horrible internet, and you played 4 battlecry minions, they could go off for you, but due to my bad connection, they do not go off for me until the rope has already been at the very end of the area because the rope is client side.
As for changing Shudderwock, I think the card is fine, and the bad thing about the card being in standard is the lack of counterplay for control decks. The deck has to get really lucky to win against most aggro lists and changing the card would only make it even worse of a match up (unless it was a buff, which isn't happening). Simply putting in Dirty Rat back into standard or some other disruption card like this could easily give control decks a way to counteract the deck without ruining the deck.

I don't have something witty about this deck, I just like it because Malygos is fun.
