Hey guys, mostly a new poster here, but out of curiosity, does the community feel like miracle rogue feels bad to play against? Every once in a while, when I am scrolling around on the forums I will see members saying cards like edwin, prep, or gadgetzan auctioneer need to go. Now, Blizzard already removed conceal during a span of time where miracle was not a tier 1 deck already and removing any of those other cards would probably kill rogue as a class. Currently, I don't even see many rogues, nor have during the last expansion (post Caverns nerf), the last time miracle was tier 1 was when it could abuse small time buccaneer, and that was really exclusively vs classes that weren't using it and couldn't use it more aggressively than miracle (shaman and warrior). Yet, I still see so much hate for rogue and miracle in particular, a class that seems very polarizing on the forums. People either believe rogue tends to get shafted with low power card releases, card removals (conceal, azure drake), or card nerfs (blade flurry rip), where the other side seems to want to see rogue's primary and nearly exclusive deck continually dismantled. How do you guys feel about playing vs miracle or maybe just rogue in general? Does it feel toxic vs other decks that have been left untouched? Why do you believe it is so polarizing, or at least seems that way?
Miracle Rogue is one of the most funniest deck i've ever played. I still play Miracle Rogue during this expansion and i'm really enjoying it so far. But it's still tier 2-3 deck since conceal went HoF. I don't know how people feel when they play against miracle rogue, for me i really don't mind play against miracle rogue. I would be happy and enjoy if i see lot of people playing skill testing decks like miracle rogue or mill rogue rather than playing aggro decks like PW, aggro druid. And i think now rogue is not a problem but druid is!
PS: sorry for my bad english, not my native language tho
Miracle has kind of been gutted as you've pointed it out. While stuff like a really high roll Edwin can feel unfair, it's by no means unbeatable, and they simply don't have the tools to draw their entire deck consistently or burst you down from a ridiculous amount of health anymore.
I enjoy playing it, and have no issue playing against it, it feels like a balanced deck.

I definitely agree, as a rogue main myself. So do you guys often see the hate directed towards rogue and its cards by members of this community? If so, why do you think so many players dislike rogue?
I think Rogue needs a bit of an overhaul, would really be nice to see a control type rogue pushed through soon. It's one of the funnest classes in wild and miracle used to play through well, however miracle now doesn't feel fun to play against or to play, and that's coming from a lover of miracle when Auctioneer/Leeroy were cheaper.
I like playing it and I like playing against it. It's a very strong deck versus slower lists, but weak to aggro and most mage lists.
I disagree with the people saying it is a very tricky deck to play, it's not that complex, but it is a very bad deck for beginner players or bad players.
People often dislike rogues weakness to aggro (it's very weak to it), but truthfully if it didn't have that... rogue would likely dominate the meta completely.
What? Who the fuck feels bad playing against rogue? It's not even half as strong as it was with conceal and pillager in standard. Mage, priest and druid all feel far more oppressive. Especially mage.
I don't really feel bad about Rogue as much as I feel sorry for the class. it has been trapped in Miracle since the start of the game, and Blizz never followed up on giving it anything worthwhile. if I feel bad, it's more because I've been playing against the more or less same deck for so long.

''He traded sands for skins, skins for gold, gold for life. In the end, he traded life for sand.''
Your poll doesn't really fit the title, because I do feel bad for Rogue, since they almost always have to rely on Gadgetzan Auctioneer which itself limits their design space a lot. [card]
Yeah no, okay. This sentiment is complete fucking bullshit. Druid also runs Auctioneer and Blizzard has no problem getting them new card draw that replaced Auctioneer in every deck. Not only that, but druid also has access to one of the most oppressive Auctioneer spells in the game. Jade Idol. The idea that a fucking 6 mana 4/4 is limiting rogue design space is complete and utter bullfuck. Druid this entire expansion is proof that if Blizzard wants to move a class away from Auctioneer, they can.
I don't care what anyone says, hitting for 28 on turn 7 is just too much fun and if I'm on the receiving end I still appreciate the play. Couldn't be worse than getting insta killed by four 2/2 hero power minions.
Your opponent is playing Prince Malchezaar. He Shuffles Jade Idols turn 1 instead of playing it as a 1/1. Used Feral Rage to Armour up instead of killing the Sherazin and keeping his minion. Basically, he is not a good player. (Prince Malchezaar but people can play it for fun, that's not a problem, but the mistakes during game are indicators of your opponent.)
Possibly better than the previous opponent, but still, I find it more rewarding when I play against a real opponent, someone who knows what he is doing. But don't be bothered by me, I have my opinion and you surely have yours, and they seem to diverge, which is perfectly fine.
Okay Okay... I hear ya with the last two. And forgive me for chasing this rabbit. But how about this last one?
**Edit - He misplayed on turn 8 by playing the giant first. But I honestly don't think that would have saved him...
He had to play the giant first since he couldn't afford to play it after the spreading plague. He should, on the other hand, have killed the auctioneer 100% of the time when he instead killed the daring reporter with the giant. It was very obvious that your deck was going to be very spell heavy from the cards he'd seen so far. He probably would've won the game if he made the correct trade.
Im glad miracle rogue is gone and i hope it stays that way. I hated getting cheesed out by an ealry van cleef and their conceal plays. Miracle rogue has been a deck since the beginning of hearthstone and now it is time for the deck to not exist anymore.

Every deck feels bad to play against when its "engine" works - that's not exclusive to playing against Miracle Rogue, in my opinion.

don't care if you think something 'feels bad to play against.

I don't know if there's anything more frustrating than quest Mage since it's nearly solitaire for them.

How about this one? Is this better?
Thank you. I appreciate the thoughtful criticism!

I used to hate playing against miracle, but ever since Conceal rotated out, I actually enjoy playing against it.
Big VanCleef can be soul crushing, but it's a high risk play, and far from being an autowin.
And what about mages?
Every single archetype since dawn of HS has been either uninteractive, featured an unhealthy amount of RNG, or both.
Lol you're probably right about that one xD
