So is anyone else the most excited to find out what the Priest Deathknight spell does???? It really feels like this card will have the most potential without even seeing it! Think of all the potential and synergy to be had.
Comes to mind first. Zero cost hero power with the new Deathknight power has me drooling already... The only reason NOT to play this is if going Highlander build would water down the deck too much... I think it could work quite nicely though.
Is the the finial piece of the puzzle that has me rocking back and forth in my chair like a junky... waiting for mid August... Imagine casting Shadow Visions to get a copy of the Priest Deathknight card and triggering the battlecry on the card two or even three times?!?!
What type of Battlecry are you hopping the priest Deathknight card will have? I'm dreaming for a summon a friendly minion that died type effect.
What type of new hero power are you hopping for? Don't think too hard on this one blizzard, just give us shadow form :)
Post what you hope the new priest legendary Deathknight card will battlecry and heropower will be.
They stated that Hero cards are its own card type. There are now four card types: minions, spells, weapons, and now hero. That would make it not a spell.
Yup. They've said that the death knight cards are an entirely new type of card, hero cards. Not minions spells or weapons. It can be reasonably assumed that cards that specifically affect one of the previous card types won't affect them. So, shadow visions won't work.
Raza and potentially beardo seem like they'd make a cool combo... The death knight priest sure looked like a shadow formed guy, but who knows... Maybe the cards battlecry will be the most important part about it (maybe a n'zoth style effect with a lot of rezzing of certain cards?) I feel like the hero power will probably either be not super impressive, or not something that effects the board in a repetitive fashion, just because Raza is such an obvious potential... But maybe!
Priest in wild is going to out-value everyone. Reno + Kazakus + Raza + Amara + N'Zoth + whatever this deathknight hero will be. Hell, throw in the dragon package if you want. As someone who mainly plays wild and also loves control (and has all those cards), I'm pretty excited for this.
FYI, one way they could avoid the Raza issue is making the hero power a passive power that you see on a bunch of the adventure bosses. Would be a first and open up some new possibilities (there's only so much you can do with a hero power, and Blizz needs 9 new ones). Just a thought.

The passive power would be really interesting! +1/+2 for all your deathrattle minions in play!
I'm leaning towards a Resurrect a minion that died this game into a Zombie (he only keeps his stats), so a new kind of Purify Priest
I like this idea, but I feel like they'd just have it rez the minion as is. You wouldn't get battlecries, so it's not too crazy, but you do get deathrattles, which would be thematically valid. And in particular, I would NOT want to see "Can't attack" minions coming back silenced. That would be too much.
Also, it's simpler. We don't want to confuse the poor, dimwitted players, right?

I am thinking since they are trying to push the deathrattle theme with the priest they would continue to still do it. I would make the card be a 6 mana give 8 armor , Battlecry Discover then Discover a Deathrattle minion . Reduce their Cost by (2) .
The hero power would be something along the lines of , 2 mana Trigger a friendly Deathrattle minion . Maybe takes from Hunter a little, still a good direction .
In the interview with Eloise, the developer mentioned that ALL hero cards are +5 armor. The difference is the battlecry, hero power and cost. I think the hero power should be Shadow Visions that reduces the cost by 1 or 2 like the Glyph. The battlecry may be - restore all friendly minions/characters to full health. The mana cost: 6-8 range.

All of the DK hero cards will grant 5 armor, have a battlecry and change the hero power. This was disclosed in the Eliose interview last week. The casting cost will vary though.

A shadow visions each turn with reduced cost would be nuts! I like where your idea is headed though. Maybe a hero power that triggers a Curious Glimmerroot battlecry with each use? This isnt really shadowform or deathrattle themed, which is where I'm pretty sure blizzard will be taking it.

That would be insanely OP. The combo's/OTK's people would pull off of that would ruin the game, and turn into a "who drew their DK first" meta. Think endless inner fires/divine spirits.
Actually, it wouldn't surprise me if the Hunter DK hero power ends up being the best in the game in terms of value. They can afford to give Hunter a really strong late-game/control hero power, since Hunter is horrible in that regards. However, many other classes are strong in the late-game, so they risk making the other classes OP if they gave them similar-strengthed hero powers. Wouldn't surprise me if the priest DK just gives you a free shadowform, for instance (maybe they can they print a card or two that synergizes with shadowform now). I'm sure one of the hero powers will give a minion Deathrattle, summon a 2/2 or so minion. Just as long as it's not Druid that gets that....

Once Raza is cast the dream would then be Beardo and some cheep casting spells...

Hero cards are not spells so shadow visions wont work. Anyway yeah raza synergy seems great.
That's Incredible!
Did they confirm its not a spell?
Yes. It's a new type of card. Not minion, not weapon, not spell; hero, only that, hero card.
