I usually craft any legendaries I really want at the start, then spend all my gold (10k as of now) on packs, then keep buying packs daily (with gold) until I my legendary timer resets...sometimes I buy even after that If I miss a couple rares and/or have a few goldens that I don't have regular copies of, so I can safely DE them.
After that I start saving for the next expansion, which usually ends up at above 10k (depending on events) and so the cycle continues while my dustbin steadily grows
Why do you craft the cards you really want before opening packs? You might be lucky and get those cards in the packs, and craft them only if you don't get them. Is it because you craft the golden version?
I got both pre-orders and will probably hit close to 9k gold. I'm planning on not using any gold until after I open the 130. I'll look at my collection and see what I'm missing of what I wanted. Another thing I'll keep in mind is how close to the pity timer I am. I probably won't buy any additional packs until after the solo content.
TL:DR - after you open your 130 packs, look at what you got and decide if buying more is worth it, or if you are happy with the collection you got.
Any reason for 130 packs? I've read about that exact amount in several places and I'm curious about it.
Yes, that is the number of packs of both preorders combined (80+50)
3200 gold and 18k dust. I also dont generally spend money on this game much, but I have over $20 in Google play credit so hoping they do another low cost pre-purchase bundle...
Nerfing would be fairly easy I think. There are many ways...one would be to make it so the hero power is upgraded via an activation card that enters your hand at the beginning of the game (assuming the criteria is met) and it costs 1 or 2 mana. That way it at least takes an early game turn away from the player.
Gold is more important early in an expansion, dust is more important late in an expansion.
I always play it safe with my dust so I would wait, but sometimes logic loses when fun is the ultimate goal. Therefore, if you think you will get a lot of fun out of that deck, craft the cards and worry about the next expansion once out.
Great brawl. I won 2 out of 3 with mage (barely lost to a hunter who drew lethal with Arcane Shot) and won 1 out of 1 with Druid. I suspect the Paladin is also strong, but I think Mage might be the best all around here...
I thought the quests would all be the same and they just award dust in addition to the gold...so wouldn't it be beneficial to have a full quest log to maximize your dust? I'm pretty sure they did it this way before...
I think to be safe the best approach would be to only carry over 1 quest, that way you get the benefit of at least 2 quests if this way is correct, but if they are adding a continuous quest you could get that benefit as well.
They've been mentioned by Stonehill Defender and Tar Creeper (obviously I'm a control player) and then of course one of the most fun cards in the game, DK Rexxar.
34, married for over 9 years now, 1 kid with a second on the way. Work full time in management. Boring but it treats me and my family well and I'm very grateful for it.
I really really hope life gets a little easier for you OP!! There are easier days ahead for sure.
I'm with most people and will probably stick to Zul'jin and Oondasta. And then maybe the cards I need to try dragon warrior or rush warrior as warrior is my favorite class.
This is my first time ordering any preorder actually...did it for 2 reasons: 1) i had some free google play credit available, and 2) this set really does look amazing.
Got almost 5k gold, plus over 19k dust. Plus I'm going to buy my first ever preorder, the small 17 pack one, with free Google play dollars earned through my get upside app. Plus free packs and maybe another few hundred gold until release day so im looking at opening about 75 packs! The most ever!
A little on the high cost, but I imagine if you kill more than a single one health minion you get more spells? For example, you kill two 1 health minions you get 2 spells?

Your cards for me would be 5-3-5.

34. Married (for 9 years as of next month...woah) with a son (too young to play yet) and hopefully a second kiddo on the way.
I've played since pre-naxx. Never hit legend but never made it a goal either. Highest rank was 5 but I mostly stay in the 12-17 ranks these days.
