I'm desperate to get golden priest and was wondering if there was one particular method to get a golden hero. I've heard of playing a rush deck around rank 20 and winning 2 games and instaconceding 2. Any other methods?
there is no easy way, you just have to win 500 ranked games, you can go farm noobs if you want to, but it is dishonnest, kinda, because you are conceding to, so idk, do whathever you want, we are not your parents
The fastest way is to farm rank 20. The best way is to climb to legend with the class you want the golden portrait for, which after a season of grinding to legend and consistent play at legend rank should be able to get you very close to the portrait if not just outright give it to you. This way also allows you to improve as a player and also gets you those sweet ranked rewards at the end of the season.
Win 500 games. No real tricks to that. You can play a fast/aggro deck to make games shorter, but you still have to win. Every game you concede is wasted time. If there's any advice, it would be to stick with one deck you're good at and avoid really slow decks like fatigue.
I'm around 350-ish on my Warlock and I'm bored of the class... now i'm on 50 with my Shaman and 99 with my Priest. I'm enjoying the game and don't really care if someone I face has a golden portait, because I can't tell if it was Rank20 farmed or just achieved from playing the game for the enjoyment of it.
Each to his own though, but having played enough pointless MMO farming games, I have finally won that battle of pointless vanity rewards. :)
Just play a lot, they will eventually come. Best way is obviously to stick to one class mostly, get that one golden quicker, and move to the next. I haven't even tried hard to get any class golden, and I have 4. I'm 80 wins off the next, so I tend to play that one at least a few games per session. It'll come in time.
I just try to maximize the heroes I still need portraits for with the daily quests that I get. The most important thing about grinding for portraits is not to get sick of the game (what's the point of having golden portraits if you are bored to death of the game by the time you are done?). After that I just play with whichever non-golden class I want.

That is a side effect of trying too hard to get them golden. I got sick of playing Druid, because I began to try harder when I noticed I'd passed 300 wins. I got there, but it felt a bit of a chore once I started actually concentrating on the goal. I say don't even 'try' until that class is passed 400 just from your regular play.
Probably just to play ranked with the class u want the golden hero on, cause if ur gonna go farmining rank 20 for 500 wins, ur gonna be so bored/annoyed with the class afterwards, ur not gonna use that hero anyway :)
I've always though that farming would be super boring myself, but I'm the kind of person that likes a challenge anyway. Farming rank 20 with an agro deck would be the quickest, but honestly it's not that hard to get it from playing ranked normally. 500 wins goes by quick when you're not thinking about it and just having fun.
instaconcide for golden hero? that seems dumb. maybe I play this game for different reasons than others. the golden hero just happens eventually by playing anyway. its really not that glorious
I don't know why people are so fond of golden portraits ofrgolden cards. They do exactly what the original does. I really couldn't care less if my portrait or cards are golden or just plain normal.

defeating a sandwich only makes it tastier
Just don't loose. Ever... Seems very boring to cling to a low rank to get quick wins... Trollish, like.
Sadly its farming low ranks. I'd advice agains it tho. Kinda defeats the purpose of golden hero. Making it somewhat meaningless
Double the trouble
just win

Seems soulless to specifically farm portraits. To me, portraits are a bonus that occurs naturally through the process of enjoying the game.

Farmers have made golden hero portraits worthless anyway, so just play the game and have fun.

Play deck you like! No most effective, not tempostrorm meta deck but one you like the most!
I only keep the golden versions of cards i think have beautiful designs.
If you want a Golden Hero to show off to the others: farm rank 20.
If you want a Golden Hero to yourself, to feel proud you won 500 games in a honest way: play it for real.
Always Squelch.
