I don't get all the whining...they finally let Shaman to be a competitive deck and the first thing you do is whine about it.
Yes the deck has an insane amount of burst damage but in the current meta is not invincible. With so many Reno decks, plus an ooze it basically counters it pretty hard. At least Face Hunter didn't have to face Reno back then.
I have been playing Renolock this season and all I can say is that is a 50/50 matchup, if i get Reno in my mulligan or before turn 6 is gg for them, if not then there isn't much I can do.
Ok, ok, was able to beat one of these damned decks but I had to use Facehunter to do it. Hate playing Facehunter and it was barely a win. I drew perfectly with leper, abusive sergeant, companion, etc, right on curve. And, he must have not drawn well because a few key cards never came out. Even with my perfect draw and his bad draw I still only managed to barely win and was down to single digit health. Quick shot saved the day.
Maybe the dck doesn't need nerfing but it requires a specific deck to beat it and you have to draw perfectly too. Just brutal.
It is definitely a fair and balanced deck, extremely clear drawbacks and actually hard(er) to play (than hunter), I'd say tunnel trogg is the biggest thing in the deck for blizzard to keep an eye on, if you cant remove it in one turn then you've usually lost by turn 4 or 5. Shaman rush isnt too big a problem, but that card specifically may or may not be too much. But it's too early to really judge it, personally I've had a bit of a hard time playing around it consistantly, but that could just be down to rng (or me being bad)
It is not harder to play than facehunter. You got beefier early game, more burst and even some cycle. And yes, I've played both. You curve out badly a bit more, but that's about it.
The only difference is that you can actually fight for the board with your board on occasions, that doesn't make it harder.
I'm not commenting on the balance issues, so replies in that regard can be directed at someone else.

after opening this thread you finally managed to win one game against Aggro Shaman????!!!! You either complain way more than you actually play or you really suck at this game ... in both cases: Please stop opening nerf threads, "you are not prepared" (Deathwing) for them!

Face hunter isn't that good against face shaman actually. The match up is basically a race, and both decks have more than enough burst damage to come out on top, so it's basically a coin flip(and I would probably even say shaman is slightly favored). Renolock is IMO the best counter for the deck.
Although if it took you this long to win against them the first time, I'd say your problem isn't the deck you are using.
"Don't blame the deck. blame your inability to build a counter"
-Trump-
This is why Trump is a bit dim in my book. Saying nonsense like this. You build a counter to a specific deck, it leaves you open to crushing from others. There is no definite counter to all decks. Building just to counter one is worse than having an all round solid that can't deal with one specific.

I feel this is taking the quote a bit literally. It would be fairly ridiculous to build a deck specifically to combat one other deck type and expect it to do well on the ladder, however it is definitely not ridiculous to pay attention to the meta and tech accordingly, which is really what I take this quote as referring to. If someone is having problems with aggro in the meta, for example, they're probably running too slow a deck and could tech in cards that would make it more effective against any aggro deck without destroying the deck's character. You don't need to make it TOO specific and build a deck to only counter Aggro Shaman.
Therefore I take that quote as basically meaning 'tech in response to the meta' rather than saying you should have a direct counter to any popular deck.
Fair enough, I still think it's not a great quote/statement. Because some aggro decks, no matter how you prepare for them, will beat you down if you draw badly.
Ok, it seems that adding a few defender of argus cards in my midrange Hunter deck has helped a lot against these aggro decks. And, the card has not hurt me in other matchups. At least so far. It still requires a great starting hand and the shaman player has to get off to a slower start so you can get taunts out. I dunno though, still a brutal matchup due to the spell burst damage.
no seriously, the one time, an almost unplayable class got something good, you people just cant be happy and try something new to beat a changing meta, this game like any other games you play changes with new content and new patches. so seriously, if you can't deal with changes, play a facebook clicky game, those meta don't change.
it's repetitive, perfectly align with your inability to think and research and actually learn something new.

You just now realized taunts help against aggro? Either you are masterfully trolling everyone in the thread, or you really need to brush up on your basic game knowledge before asking for nerfs. At any rate, learn to start playing other decks that work better against the current meta instead of just expecting your favorite deck to always be the best.
Aggro Shaman is cancerious and it's undeniable. It's way too consistent for an aggro deck. Turn one tunnel Trogg, turn 2 knife juggler, turn 3 feral spirit, turn 4 lava shock and any two drop, turn 5 doom hammer, and turn 6 gg with rockbitter and multiple burst spells. They also have the PERFECT ultility cards. Card to change hero power to a more convenient one check, card that benefits from overloading check, multiple burst down spells that also have overload check, doom hammer with rockbitter combo check and with card draw with overload check. It's ridiculously hard to counter this deck even though if you mulligan hard for aoe such as hellfire, demon wrath and Reno. No game is fun when it's a turn 6 gg. Even with tech cards such as mc tech, ooze/Harrison Jones, often those tech cards come too late. By then it would be gg and this is coming from a Renolock player.

That was topdecked? Nah, it was because I let the Heart of the Cards guide me ;)
i am encountering a shaman in every 2-4 games. They usually concede after I either race them or taunt up a big beast. (Im playing Midrange hunter at rank 6 atm.)

Sticks and Stones may break my bones, but words will send me spiralling into crippling depression.
Until Shaman has a Miracle deck like Rogue did once upon a time, or a way to generate an insane board, otk frothings, an infinite pseudo heal, and crazy draws, Shaman archetypes as a whole, do not need to be nerfed in any fashion. Having played a little bit of every shaman (except Malygos versions and this Sir Finnley Shaman) it would be easier to list cards which deserves buffs, then to list a single shaman card that deserves the Warsong Commander treatment.
If you want to complain, complain about Secret Paladins, Reno Warriors (gah!!), or something that's an actual issue, rather then a short lived Aggro deck. It's not like this deck which is being played by more then 11.1% ~ of the entire player base. Or use your time to do something useful like protect an endangered species, like I am now with Shaman. O.o

Play freeze mage , murloc paladin or patron warrior and bait this deck so easy

I win due to skill and lose due to bad RNG. :D
Whelp, face shammy just tried to kick my ass in casual and got his ass handed to him by my own midrange shaman. RNG screwed him hard.
Feels good, man.
Oh, and I need to find space for Harrison.
Renolock, Control Warrior, Highlander pala...there are just so many decks who can counter this Shaman.
Besides them adding an ooze and a couple more early heals will just do the trick.

Another 10 page long salt thread. As if this forum didn't have enough salt already.
Aggro shaman didn't seem like an issue when i ran into them.

How is any deck that relies on a speciffic one drop consistent?
I don't even see that many Aggro shamans, anymore. I think players realize that despite the hype it's not actually good.

No. Just no. In fact, 10x no.
