I tried this deck and you basically need some very good early game, but by the time you control the board you probably have already won the game even without completing the quest. I removed RP, Crystalweaver and Devilsaur.  Added Knife Jugglers, Argent Squires and Fist of Jaraxxus, works a lot better.

If you are smart and lucky with your daily quests and only play ladder you can make around 5K gold every month. Relax people you'll still be able to get the new cards.

posted a message on New Keyword: Battleground (W/ ANIMATIONS). Please critique.

The idea is pretty good, I won't say original because I've seen it in Yugi Oh long time ago but well here are a few thoughts:

    1. The idea of a field card is to focus on an specific deck type, in your example you mention "Beasts" or "Demons". The whole idea of a field card is to buff an specific type of minion because they have the "field advantage".
    2. I don't think it could work well with spells, buffing any spells will become too OP.
    3. I believe that the effect should last for the whole game.

Overall is a great idea just needs some more refining.

PS: Please tell me you will create the new HS mirror image trap.

But I do understand it from Blizzard's point of view. If they build the game around high skill decks, this will make it harder for new players to get into the game. And well let's be honest at the end of the day this isn't a game, this is business for them. They need to keep attracting new players, because let's face it pros only represent 1-2% of the whole HS community and I believe they are willing to let some pros go to other game as long as they can attract 1000 new players.

But they don't have to build the game around high skill decks. They should just stop making overstated minions and the decks for us.A simple card doesn't have to be a braidead card, expamples:grim patron, wild pyromancer, molten giant(if they bother to make its text accurate) etc. They are all simple to understand cards but allow complex strategies. However they will gradually delete them all and replace them with braindead op shit like drakonid hyperOPperative,0 mana 5/5 taunt and other bullshit cards. They should just print interesting cards with some occasional tribal synergy and let us do the deckmaking ourselves. If something brakes the game nerf it after 4-5 weeks when everything has settled down. What we are asking is not impossible,it's what they were doing before naxx and did with loe.Interesting cards that didn't force feed decks(being braindead just adds salt to injury).
I agreed with you about the braindead cards, i mean 4 mana 7/7 o like you mention 0 mana 5/5. I think the point here is that blizzard isn't even trying to promote the idea of trying to make your own decks. Not sure if is because is too hard for new players or hard to balance. At this current stage I'm so lazy to play ladder because all you will find is pirate warrior and shaman. Same goes for the big tournaments, you'll see all the pros bringing the same decks, so there's no element of surprise.
What you are asking is not impossible but it is very very difficult, hopefully Blizzard will pulled off someday. I watched the APAC Winter qualifiers last week and there was a guy (Lojom) who brought the most unconventional decks and went 5-0 in the first round. You should check his matches...pretty good

HS, at its current stage, is just feels disappointing. I completely agreed with OP about the feeling of the game right now and don't get me wrong, this isn't about pirates, this is way back then when they decided to make it up for face hunter and create an even more aggressive deck (shaman). In the current meta you only need a few good draws and push dmg to face, there's no real difference between a pro and a pleb, because a pleb could probably beat the pro with an insane mulligan and right top decks on each turn.

But I do understand it from Blizzard's point of view. If they build the game around high skill decks, this will make it harder for new players to get into the game. And well let's be honest at the end of the day this isn't a game, this is business for them. posted a message on What the hell is this?

Is just the nature of the game aggro is designed to beat control. Yes is annoying sometimes but not invincible, but if you are playing a deck that is not well constructed in ladder, don't expect to have fun with it because it will get crushed by the more consistent decks.

To you question "What the hell is this?" I should answer you "Who the hell plays C'Thun Dragon Mage?"

If you want to try some decks just play casual, or play ladder but don't get salty if you lose to higher tier decks. Don't tell me you were expecting to go 20-0 with that deck.

King Krush, not that it has the best effect or mana cost/stats but man I love when you play it and it pops the animation of a T-Rex coming.

posted a message on Genuinely Curious: how do you guys beat Dragon-Priest?

I mainly play Renolock and Dragon Warrior, both having pretty decent winrate against Dragon Priest, the latter one slightly more unfavor.

With Renolock basically you outvalue him, Warlock is the class with the best board clears in the board. Early game you just stall a bit, then you drop your Twilight Drake and if you are lucky enough make a copy of it with Faceless Shambler. They have a really hard time clearing the Drake.

Also one of the key points is to try and get the Brann + Kazakus combo and you go greedy with both 10 cost spells. This plus Jaraxxus is basically impossible for Priest to deal with. Add that a 20 dmg turn and there are really few things priest can do, unless you have an awful mulligan is basically an easy win.

With Dragon Warrior you just go aggressive and try to kill him in the first 6 turns, this of course is easier said than done but is not impossible.

posted a message on New Druid Card - Pilfered Power

Regardless of the new cards that will come out, the card seems pretty decent to me, not OP but decent. I mean just thinking on a few combos:

Turn 1 Living Roots + Innervate + Coin + Pilfered Power = 3 mana on your next turn.

Turn 1 Living Roots + Innervate + Innervate + Living Roots + Pilfered Power = 5 mana next turn.

    Looks pretty good to me.

posted a message on Which classes will be more affected with The Grand Tournament gone??

I just went to check The Grand Tournament expansion and by looking at it (and relieved) Shaman will lose two very important cards (Totem Golem and Thunder Bluff Valiant.

Druid will lose Living Roots and Mulch & Warrior will lose Justicar.

With this said I believe meta decks like Malydruid and Midrange Shaman will most likely disappear. I don't think CW will be affected that much because Justicar is gone.

    What do you guys think?

posted a message on The Legendary in the Standard set, hands down. (Title changed)

Thalnos seems like a reasonable option but for new players having a Sylvanas or a Rag is much more viable. Rag and Sylvanas are winning conditions now and they will be continue to be. Thalnos is like a wild-card that you put in different specific decks because of his versatility, but you will never build a deck around Thalnos.

PS: Is kind of sad that we take for granted that new players will play Shaman,

posted a message on Top 3 classes you love (pass the pepper please)

Warlock - Is a class that has proven to stand strong in almost every meta. I love the variety of decks that you could play with it, Handlock, Zoo, Renolock, OTK, Discolock, etc. My first golden hero :)

Paladin - I think I just love this class simply because of Tirion, that dude is really insane! Besides that I think Pala is an all around class that has very unique cards and synergies. Midrange Paladin was my favorite deck a while ago, with cards like Muster and Shielded Minibot, how can you not love this class!

Warrior - Mainly because I really enjoy control decks and Warrior is the mother of controls! I guess is one of the few classes if not the only one that allows you to play so many legendary cards together and not suck.

After the Yogg nerf I've been trying the following:

    - Yogg + Rag

    -Bloodhoof Brave +Barnes

I'm getting mixed results buti still think this is the best replacement for Yogg. Barnes getting Rag or Sylvanas is pretty good.

    I'm open to other suggestions

posted a message on Lack of Good Paladin Early Game Cards

I think Paladin has been one of the classes that just sticks there in mid tiers, even after all the nerfs and cards banned it still remain as a strong deck. Yes they lost Mini bot & Muster but at that time Paladin was so broken that it was boring...same as Shaman now.

IMO Pala is still in a very good position, Anyfin OTK is pretty good, N'Zoth Pala is ok also but inconsistent and last, the current pala deck I'm playing is Nzoth Dragon Pala, which is tons of fun, was good enouh to take me to rank 2 last season but I enjoyed every single game.

Pala could use some better early cards yes but is not that without them Paladin is a waste of class.
