Thinking the issue with shamans is the same as they always tend to get: not enough focus on their deck type.
Your deck seems to have a Tempo mindset with Totem golems, fire elementals, and Al. However, the totems, like mana tide and Thunder Bluff seems more for a combo or burn style. But there's a lto of big boys and plenty of removal, as if it's a control deck.
It's a deck that's just putting all of the 'good cards' in with no synergy. Mage had the same problem until GvG. That expansion told them that a a'Good' card is still bad for you if it doesn't fit your deck type. Thus why polymorph fell out of favor: it doesn't fit the 'stop all minions' mode of freeze, the Tempo style of Tempo or the aggro style of mech.
Shamans figured it out with Mech shaman, which is why mech shaman carries no removal. Otherwise though.. well, midrange shaman held a ton of removal but very little...well, midrange. Fire Elemental is more of a Tempo play than a midrange win condition. Nep is a card advantage card, like ysera, not a finisher. Al is a control card, but there's not enough healing, card draw, or delay to use him like Grom. No alex either.
Shamans, outside of mech, have been too hybridized. They need a focus on a style and all of the pieces for that style. TGT Might have the pieces they need, but they'll need time to look into that. For now it seems shamans are currently trying aggro and Tempo with totems and it's not quite working out well. Thus people aren't messing with them much.
Bah, really wish I had gotten more shaman cards in my TGT packs :/

Finally made a viable Shaman decklist....
It's running smoooooooth...
pretty much the same shaman strat that everybody is doing.
and btw the shamans are all playing other classes, because the class is just a weak paladin.
