There should be better tech cards against aggro. MCtech, Sludgebelcher and antique healbot are not cutting it. We need something like a 2 drop armor smith that heals the hero. The fact that aggro could run this rampant without any good tech cards against it is frustrating. >.<
We have Big Game Hunter against control decks, why not add something similar against aggro?

All three seem to work better against Midrange and maybe even lighter Control than against Face decks, if I may add. Mind Control Tech in particular is useless against Hunter.
Good point. I noticed that during testing. Shame that blizzard didn't release anything like armorsmith to all classes. It would make facehunter less potent in the early game and know that you have a chance to come back if it is left alone. Some people have mentioned unstable Ghoul and Deathlord but I'm not bought. If silenced they don't do anything, unlike armorsmith that would gain me health if I already had some board presence.

The main problem with Face Hunter is people feel that whether they win or lose to them has nothing to do with what they play or draw from their deck but rather whether the Face Hunter mulligans well and pulls the right cards from his or her deck. That is not the case but people perceive themselves to be completely at the mercy of the Hunter's RNG.
I'm a scumbag netdecker, but even I occasionally tech in a kezan mystic or deathlord or annoyotron if I'm facing heavy bumrush agro. Is face hunter healthy for Hearthstone? Yes. It motivates netdeckers like me to actually try modifying my decks to suit "the meta". If someone just gets frustrated but never modifies their decks and quits playing because they hate losing, then they wouldn't have lasted long anyway.
ive said this a million times. Face hunter will never be nerfed for 2 reasons;
1.The hero power cannot be touched. if you make it any less than 2 dmg, it breaks the entire hero power system balance. And this is really the true reason as to why the class feels overpowering, and the same reason Warlock also has always had a slight advantage over other classes besides hunter.
2.Hunter is very cheap crafting wise, making it a 50/50ish win percent efficient for even the newest of players to hop right in and feel like they are doing well. I bet people who complained about how old hunter was are really kicking themselves in the ass about now, all of my friends have discussed the fact that the old styles of hunter were much less annoying and less OP than this new face hunter, and required more decisionmaking/skill.
What the complaint should really be? That the Hearthstone team continues to make OP face/midrange cards and their way of dealing with face decks in general seems to be to accelerate mana gain for all classes so you can play your control cards earlier in hopes that the acceleration will speed up control decks to bring them more in line with face decks*cough Dragon consort* *cough* Emperor tarzan.
At this point, there is really nothing to do about Hunter except quit making cards for it that are pro face. Quick shot was obviously meant for midrange and control type hunter decks, but since it can hit face as well as minions, it fits right into face decks too. Any nerfs to the class cards or the hero power will just break the class in general and they may as well delete it from the game.
Is it bad for Hearthstone? No, not at all. If you have heavy control, heavy mid, you should have heavy face too. It leans more towards the broken side at the moment, but my friend has said this from the very beginning and i agree with him. Do not nerf cards, make cards that address problems with present cards. With BRM, they went more with that approach so far, and at first, I thought it was kind of a "meh" expansion, but I am actually enjoying it more than Nax and GvG at this point. What I am ok with is buffing some cards, like healing cards. As it stands, healing is pretty much useful in handlock and not much else on a regular basis, and I feel like it should be more impactful and may even help against hunter if they buffed the healing cards correctly. Right now, Healbot is really the only healing card that sees play, and even then it is slowly on its way out the door. Balance is never going to be an easy thing to achieve though, you literally cannot appease every person. I feel like after BRM is fully released, we will be in a pretty serene place overall.
Face hunter serves a critical role in the meta game to keep decks honest and avoid a purely greedy control meta. The design is a fundamentally sound one that plays the fastest threats which require the cheapest, most efficient answers. With the introduction of cards like Shieldmaiden, Antique Healbot and Kezan Mystic in Goblins vs Gnomes decks have gained cards they can tech in to avoid the hunter beat down. Their lack of card draw and sustained threats or concern about efficient board trading in the mid game often leads to them having a limited damage resource.
Are you going to beat them with a deck low on taunts, sustain or early answers? Probably not.
Can you build a variety of distinct and interesting decks that do well against face hunter or utilize specific tech cards to gain an advantage over hunter (without compromising all of your other match-ups)? Yeah, there are a lot of ways to hinder face hunters from doing what they want to do. No one card or strategy should destroy an entire deck archetype it should take 2-3 different cards to give you the necessary edge.
As a last note, I'm not a facehunter player. I have a mid range hunter that I like to play, I have golden druid and have experimented with a lot of druid archetypes (from old undertaker token rush builds to heavy, no combo ramp designs) and lately I've been playing control warrior since I finally built up a suite of legendary cards to make it work.
There's another factor to take in. Face hunter is the only aggro deck.
Shockadin. Zoo. Early mech mage (pre Archmage and higher up drops). Rage Warrior. Murloc Warlock. Ican'tbelieveit'snotzoo rush warlock. All of these decks are out of the meta or, in zoo's case, very close.
We literally have only one viable aggro deck, and it's a 100% pure face burn deck in face hunter, and the second, the SECOND face hunter has to trade it dies.
You say the issue is that aggro is too strong. "I" say that the issue is that aggro is nearly dead. If it doesn't try to fast-kill you.. if it has ANY notion of trading, the aggro deck can't work. It's why we're having this conversation, because face hunter is all that's left. It's also hunter's only viable deck. We nerfed and killed midrange, expansions nuked Secrets hunter, and there's no room for Tempo. We keep giving hunter silly unreliable gimmicks and cards that attempt to make Control hunter a thing. But honestly control hunter DOESN'T have to be a thing. We already have Warrior, Druid, Paladin, Mage, and Warlock if we want control decks. We don't need Hunter trying to pretend it can do the same when it really can't. Sonic is Fast. Give him speed. Stop trying to make him a warewolf dating humans.
So here we are. We took out hunter almost completely to the point where all it can do is 6-ling rush. We took out every aggro deck that had any notion of trading and board control or setup so that all it can do is..6-ling rush. The closest alternative is mech mage and, really, that deck works better when it's NOT goin aggro and, instead, acting Tempo with an Archmage win condition. That's it for anything not midrange.
It's also the only deck that can be made without legendaries or epics and even that's a stretch given that it takes 4 months for a new player to get Mad Scientist (700 gold*4 to earn, 350 gold a week gain on average) and another 2 weeks for Quick Shot. After that the next cheapest deck is Oil Rogue and that requires 2 class only epics, which sucks if you find you dislike the playstyle, and is NOT easy to use.
Face hunter isn't healthy. NOT because of what it does, but what it represents: the last piece of real aggro left in the game. And the answer too many are making is to nerf THAT as well.
" yet make control Hunter more interesting."
THERE IS NO CONTROL HUNTER! It's not a deck that works! This isn't a case of hunters just choosing the easiest solution. THIS IS ALL THEY HAVE! Killing Face hunter won't mean the revival of midrange or control. It'll mean Hunter becomes the worst class in the game without a single viable deck! It means we have no reason to not go stupid greedy with control decks holding a mass of heal and legendaries.
What we need is a revival of zoo style decks. Decks that focus on grabbing that board fast zerg style and overwhelming you without being just Charge minions. We need an actual aggro style back. I realize now that trying to make Hunter a control deck was stupid. If I want control, I'll make a warrior. Hunter needs a minion based deck again, perhaps a lsightly faster version of Midrange and less stupid core hound styled minions.
The only thing unhealthy in this game is the amount of prejudice and discrimination towards players who like to play a certain class.
I've seen Hunter players being called retards, failures in life, friendless people, skill-less, not loved by parents, and many other worse things. To me, this is the unhealthiest thing in this game, especially when it's starting to become a "cool thing" to discriminate against Hunter players.
Don't forget huntard and cancer. Also, ebola. Oh, and "should've been swallowed instead."
Jokes aside, I really only see face hunter with this kind of hate. Midrange Hunter, I think people have learned to beat it, and everyone loves Control hunter for being such a different hunter deck.
How is it that I've seen several legitimate threads get locked and/or deleted over the past two days yet this blatantly obvious complaint thread remains untouched?
This topic is constructive opposed to others. So don't rely on it getting deleted in order to defend an imbalanced class. This time you'll actually need evidence instead of just a report button.
I'll be honest, I hate Hunters at the moment. It seems they are at their worst style ever. They make me salty when I lose at TURN 4. So I do have biases towards the deck.
Yes, incredibly constructive. It's obvious that this thread was made with lots of thought, and isn't just some salty guy whining on the forums. This thread is the epitome of constructive-ness, shining above all others in its unbiased views. /s
Hunter is perfectly fine. The imbalanced game design is the real problem. The game is going to suffer from serious power creep with the low health pool the longer it continues as currently the best way to play the game is decks which completely ignore interaction with the opponent.
You boil with hate and hope he dies, then when he finally does you feel empty, you don't know were to point your hate next and then you start to hate yourself instead!
A game/show/movie needs something in it for you to hate, it's as simple as that.

In my point of view the game still lacks in a general way cards that respond well against real aggro decks.
