Working with a hunter control deck myself at the moment; some healing to buffer my health a bit, and a lot of board clear / AOE clear. Minion-lite, so the bulk of my damage is with weapon+steady shot, but i've got some of the 'key' ones that can be dangerous if left alone.
I'm poorly ranked right now, but I have not put any stretches of time in to work on that. I honestly don't get to play games very much any more, but it's had decent success so far except in the worst draw cases. Mage decks can be hit or miss: I have enough pressure to make them deal with my creatures, but if they don't focus on me with their nukes, then I can handle most anything else they put out. Works good against rush decks as well. Another control? Depends. If we're just trading board control, then steady shot/weapon typically wins out. More luck really.
Probably not a rank 1-5 deck, but I'm enjoying it.
Yeah Hunters are really not great but they are fun to play I loved my Hunter Diamond level deck that I made my self with 2 rares in it :') god ol' days
Yeah, control is great because you counter heal decks and also the early damage the mages need to put out in order to bring you in kill range.
I made a shaman deck and I had the most success with it in the current patch. Too bad eu servers derped out.
Really? :D nice I have been looking for a Shaman control deck to try want to post the deck list here if you have the time I love your Value City Warrior very fun deck to play

The value city warrior deck doesn't work as well in the current meta. I had a 65.13% win rate with it from 152 matches played but now I barely got 53% from 144 games this patch, and I did try to make some changes against the current meta (shield block for mages being one) but It didn't work out.
The shaman deck is at 63.64% but it's not as accurate as I only got in 22 matches before the EU servers went down. I do hope I'll at least reach and maintain 65% as it was the highest I had so far. Here's the deck list, keep in mind that I don't have any legendaries or earth elementals so I couldn't test them out:
Yeah it's really worth it to make this deck it is now my one of my favorite with no epics or Legendary cards it's so fun being a priest stealing all of your oppents shit and Kill huge health minions with Shadow words then watching the innkeeper say "Your Opponent Left"
I don't think this is viable. How are you controlling the board? Also, 2x SWD is a bit much IMHO. 1x Big Game Hunter is a better choice but that's preference I suppose.

Yes this is an older deck list I run a Guru instead I control with high health minions and heal them works very well try it out your self :D
I got that priest build from here as well and it's good but so boring lol. Every game feels EXACTLY the same.
I'd much rather play an interesting deck like control shaman, one time you win because of ragnaros, other time malygos makes you do 30 damage in 1 turn. Beforehand getting your opponent to waste their CC on your big elementals.
also it easily counters the beforementioned priest deck and i win about 50% against mages. 80% win so far in about 20 games.
This is not a deck guide and I have a huge W/L with this deck all in the deck favor it has been countering the meta well FOR ME I have beet Shamans I am 4/0 for Shamans I don't care at all if you don't like the deck no one asked you or what kind of decks you like to play. Also if you are losing to your own deck with m Priest you must be doing something wrong because I counter Shamans well.
Have a good day I did not mean to be rude thanks for the input :)
That priest deck looks like one of Kripp's decks a while ago (I think it had one SW:D, one Argent Commander, but two MC -good times, good times- and a Sunfury Protector). I'm a bit surprised it still works well, but glad it works for you...
I'm pretty sure that after the patch, more aggro warlocks and shaman's in general will be around. It will lead to basically every deck being faster again or you will get stomped by turn 5.
Okay so: The meta that I have saw
Aggro an class that can do it we were still figuring out what was the best
V
Mage aggro we found was the best
V
Huge Healing Classes to avoid mage aggro and letting aggro decks burn out
V
Now more people are playing control so they will not burn out against Heal decks
Idk guys what do you think :)

Arena Tips
Thanks looking very good! I am 28/3 with the Priest deck 90% win Ratio its's working so well.
I need to try it, I have all the cards except for 1 injured blademaster and the twilight drakes. I'll get them once arena is fixed.

My arena got the glitch :'(
Man I miss arena, I want to unlock some legendaries.
Btw, I replaced senjin with ooze. Fun to destroy that shiny new sword of justice and see them alt+f4.

It might be that control is insanely fun that you think it's the "new meta"
No I think it is because it can beat every deck in the meta Mage Healadin & Warlock aggro :3

'Go home and be a family man!'

Great! I can't wait to play A Shaman :D Yeah if you look at the deck list it does not make much sense how well it works but it's working for me :)
Ok, control is here, it's the new meta.
*freeze nerfs*
AAAAAAAND it's gone.
