Rogue set is easily my top 1, new Hooktusk will be super satisfying to play and Tess will make the Maestra Burgle stuff interesting to play again.
I cant decide if I hated the Warlock or the Warrior set more. They tried to give 2 new directions for Warlock (murloc and curse) but they both SUCK, not nearly enough good support for neither.
Warrior is the other way around, they didnt give the class any new direction, instead supporting the same super boring strategies (quest and Kazakuzan) we've been seeing for the past few months, LAME.
Which set are you excited about and which set is the most disappointing?
Maybe DH is my lowest ranking. The class seems a bit amputated already and is getting some medium boring new cards (Hopefully I'm wrong)
I have to give my number 1 to Mage. Just keep in mind that Jainas board hasn't been used for over a year, so remember to remove the thick layer of dust and give it some hardwood oil before using it ;)
I think Shaman has potential to be good, but it also has potential to be the worst class.
There is a neurtal with battlecry "silence every minion" it hard counters snowfall guardian, so if Shaman is meta or if this card is meta Shaman will for sure be the worst class.
TL;DR: Shaman has strong cards going into the mini set and this expansion, but if other classes keep getting better cards, while Shaman picks up only a few scraps eventually it will get power crept on.
If you watched the Theorycraft the few people that played Shaman (mostly Murloc, some Midrange) got absolutely demolished. This set and the last mini set probably didn't offer Shaman anything to build a new deck around, and very little to strengthen old archetypes with.
Burn Shaman is losing Lightning Bloom, Primordial Studies, and Serpentshrine Portal. There are potential cards in the new set that can replace these and keep it strong but Lightning Bloom was pretty big so it could drop a few tiers in power level.
Quest Shaman was already slow enough post nerf to drop it from tier 1 to high/mid tier 2. It's losing Lightning Bloom, Guidance, and Serpentshire Portal, and there are 0 (ZERO) NO NEW OVERLOAD CARDS. I still think Azshara has potential, but it's pretty likely it's just too slow to get rolling now.
Bolner OTK is ded. Evolve is ded.
Elemental Shaman and Midrange Freeze Shaman are very meta dependent, but they are on the opposite sides of the meta, so that's good. It's hard to imigine Elemental Shaman keeping up with Mech Mage or Murloc Warlock, but if board based decks like those are strong then Freeze Shaman will be strong but Freeze Shaman is like tier 2 at beast and doesn't see high level play.
I'm a warrior OTP and I am pretty disappointed with this set. No new archetype, just a bit of support for quest and control which isn't very exciting. Also probably the worst legendary of the entire set in Lady Ashvane :(
I think people are underestimating Warlock and imagine if the class will come through as another Demon Seed era....
Priest is pretty bad IMO... it is usually good during theorycrafting but once the meta is filled with Aggro, Priest will be in the dumpster..
The priest expansion set almost doesnt matter cuz their core set is now insanely JACKED, easily the biggest upgrade of all classes. The zero mana legendary looks pretty exciting too, priest players have a lot to look forward to.
Warlock got the short end of the stick in everything lmao, crappy class core set changes (discard stuff with zero expansion support.. its like they WANT warlock to suck), uninspiring expansion set, things are looking grim. The only thing warlock players are looking forward to is Reno Jackson honestly, I can see a Highlander Demon Seed list being decent.
Quest is still gona be broken prolly a bit more than before. Vicious Syndicate actually ranked Warrior #1 overall power. I get the frustration though, Im a Shaman OTP becuase single classing is the only way to FTP IMO, and I'm not looking forward to three more months of getting carried by Snowfall Guardian.

??? isn't the murloc stuff really strong? When I've seen Trump, Regis and Zeddy play it it has looked super strong.
But are you talking about how fancy is and how for you is fun or how strong is it?
Because, sorry but rogue doesn't seem strong at all to me.
All of the above, whatever gets you excited to play any given class. Hooktusk looks lots of fun, exactly the kind of disruption I wanted in HS, rly looking forward to farm combo/Kazakuzan players with it.
The rogue pirate package looks very strong, I mean, Swordfish is a 4/3 weapon with an upside for 3 mana, what MORE does any strategy need to succeed? Hello?!
I don't see this relationship good weapon=strong deck. The other cards are not so good in my opinion, most of the classes seems far stronger, so we will see what tier will reach the rogue.
Actually, Shaman is pretty good. I was wrong. Elemental Shaman with rockbiter kind of beats everything, especially if you get a rolling freeze going, most strats are board based.
My forecast is that it will be a meta for quest hunter, mech pala and maybe quest warrior. Hunter because the quest is strong. Pala because minions with divine shield are strong and they counter hunter's quest. Quest warrior because there are still pirates.

Theres nothing OP, no deck is truly dominating so far. Funny, Ive seen barely any hunters and the ones ive seen played janky crap. Quest hunter might be fine, but its certainly not popular. Very few mech paladins too, mech mage is way more popular at least on ranks 5-1.
Basing predictions on HS Replays free ratings isnt exactly what id call "accurate"..
Anyway, I still remember your predictions always fail (also in the previous meta), so you don't seem like the right person. Mech mage is good and I missed it. We will see.
If you don't like HS replay data, next time you can provide your data, so we can estimate people's predictions with Oozu's data. And, in this way, we will see in what world Lady Preston is played (like your previous forecast)

nvm: you meant trying in fireside gathering atm :D
"Woow..."
Fel DH will probably have fun times testing Queen Azshara and their Naga legendary, seem to fit the burn strategy well. Not the best, nor the worst.
Mage is my close second, already have a naga tempo build brewing ;)

Mech Paladin with all those handbuffs seems really good. Looks like a solid S-tier deck.
"... but not less than (1)" is needed now more than ever!
you can't really judge how good a deck will be based on the theorycrafting event.
First, the players are forced to use 10 cards from the new set, so decks are far from refined.
Second, it's a very small sample size of players
Third, there were quite a lot of misplays during the livestream because players were testing how some cards functioned and stuff.
But are you talking about how fancy is and how for you is fun or how strong is it?
Because, sorry but rogue doesn't seem strong at all to me.
Shaman looks the weakest if you ask me

It is not trash but it is not even op.
Anyway. I am very happy. My forecast was very accurate. At least for now.
