I already answered (in the negative), but I forgot to mention one point:
When the metagame is unpleasant, I generally play just enough to complete quests. I have no reason to believe I will need a significant number of new cards to continue doing that, so there's no reason for me to pre-order.
Also, I didn't mention the one thing that could make me change my mind:
If they delete Questlines from Standard, I will pre-order both bundles immediately as a show of support for that decision.

I have bought the smaller pre order a few times. But Its near to Christmas, I have 29k dust and 13000 gold. So this time I will take a pass on the pre order. But I will get the Tavern Pass, well worth the extra cost. If you use Google Rewards like me you can have $16 in google play cash in between expansions so the Tavern pass is $4.

I support your second point, though I’m also hopeful that they would be willing to nerf them even more if they truly eclipsed the new hero cards in the coming weeks. I could see the devs attempting to adjust their power level a few more times before admitting defeat and rotating them early like Genn and Baku.
They usually prioritize the design and push the usage of the new expansion cards over the older expansion cards... So let see if they will admit the problems of Questlines and will do some balance changes to them... But most likely, we won't see any of those changes until 2-3 weeks after the expansion launch (why? they need more meta observation as they always say) and the holiday season might slow things even more.
I agree as long as quest warlock exist the game will not be able to play to its potential. It is the biggest mistake blizzard has ever made card design wise.
Should you pre-order? I wouldn't. Blizzard had yet to answer for it's behavior towards it's workers, particularly it's employees who are women, in a concrete and meaningful way. Until they perform some restitution, they won't be getting any money from me.

That has nothing to do with if he should buy pre order.
Thanks for all the opinions! But i think that this expansion will be great, will shake up the meta in a positive way and will be a KOTFT style meta as well. There are so many new cool cards and the overall flavor is interesting to me. Thank you all!
I will never preorder again. The last releases were terrible, didn't even play the last two seasons at all, not even for the cardback and 5 simple wins.
Beside that the prices are still too expensive and I say that as a person that does not have to care about money IRL.

Mmmm in today's world these topics are relevant and these topics, in my opinion, should be much more relevant for the consumers. A company that does not respect women and has caused suicide internally is a very relevant topic.
Some people may even feel part of this crap by funding Blizz. Today there are companies that are building their fortune with ethics of respect and sustainability. Because nowadays, fortunately, many people like these things and they tend to avoid the purchases from the "bad companies". Most of the things, on the other side, are shitty greenwash (that have to be hardly punished), anyway, we need these things. Blizz seems out of time.
Now that we've seen all cards it's a safe no from me.
But I'm sure we'll still see lots of salt from people who bought the preorders, pulled the bare minimum of Legos and Epics out of their packs and can't build any of the nice decks with it.
I'm actually kind of excited for the new cards, but... man, the cheap bundle is $70 CAD in the shop.
I just can't justify that right now...
I might go with the Tavern pass again, because I think I got good value out of during this current expansion. But that's probably going to be it this time.
You might try another link for shopping. Im living in Hungary (part of EU) so when I google search for Blizzard shop it gives me a link to the EU shop by default. However if I use the US shop link manually I can get cheaper prices. Compared to the EU shop the US prices are like 13% cheaper. So I use this link: https://us.shop.battle.net/en-us
Edit: So I did the math, in your case, Google tells me that 70 CAD = 55.24 USD and the cheaper preorder costs 50 USD in the US shop. Its about 10% cheaper in your case.
The answer to your math is no. When you have an account with a different currency from what you are purchasing you have additional costs from the card itself (and this cost is generally not so low), "currency spread". See what you actually paid in your bank account after the transaction.
If you are using a different way to pay you might even lose money in this way.
In conclusion, what he will actually pay will be: 55.24 + 4%. Using paypal
And I am not even talking about the conversion rate which can make your deal terrible.
Do you mean 50 + 4% which is 52? Still cheaper. By the way Im not using Paypal, Im using Mastercard.

I think that it is better if you step outside this topic and you don't advise people about how to lose money in a forum related to a card game.
I wanted to double-check the numbers before replying so I did that.
In my country we use hungarian forint (HUF) but for hearthstone I can only pay with Euro (or USD if I use the other link). 50 EUR = 18432 HUF. 50 USD = 16441 HUF. I have bought the smaller preorder from the US shop and it costed me exactly 16551 HUF. Blizzard probably uses a slightly different conversion rate, thats why I have paid 0.6% more than I was expecting. I have still saved about 2000 HUF since I havent used the default EU link.
These are the facts. If you use Mastercard like me and you live in the EU, you should use the link to the US shop since 50 USD is cheaper than 50 Euros.
You keep writing about this topic without understanding it.
Here is the issue and what you don't want to understand:
1) You are talking about your experience, which is limited to one transaction - as I said these things depends by: conversion rate (that changes in time and by countries) and currency spread (that changes by how you make the payment and by countries).
2) If you provide your "case study" and you keep saying that for you worked it is not relevant at all. It worked for you in the time that you made the transaction, it might not work for other people in their countries and in the time in which they might do the transaction because they have different conversion rates and different currency spread
3) As I already said, your advice is an advice about how to lose money because if the people that read your post will not consider these two factors they might lose their money (for the spread and for the conversion rate).
Now that we've seen all cards it's a safe no from me.

So are still getting new set from gold?
Probably a few packs, I'll craft some of the good cards later on. Depending on how much the meta changes.

I think even with the bare minimum, you may be able to get some a solid 200-400 dust for a couple good cheap cards.

Dust does not burn a hole in the jar. Be careful what you craft, especially before and right after a rotation.

I preordered all the bundles just to piss you crying nerds off lmaooooo

Don't tempt me pal.

As long as quest are still in there will be people still playing them u have like 2 days experimenting b4 people go back to quest.
Remember dust refund are not money refund...so most of the broken cards in this set will be nerfed...soon or later
