Since the the nerf by 2 mana seems heavy, do you think it's gonna make the whole archetype unplayable?
I was watching grandmasters and was having fun seeing all the OTK DH and wanted to craft it albut waited to see if it would get nerfed. Ultimately I'll wait to see some winrates to decide but I was curious about the general opinion and maybe get some of those pure hatred messages that makes me laugh
Yeah I think it might be over for that card... we'll see though. For how unwelcomed DH was when it first became a class, I always thought that deck was a pretty unique way to play. Sucked losing to it obviously, but I repected it
The deck will be either slower or have higher variance in the turn they are able to kill you between early if things high roll, to late if low roll.
And the deck was hard to pilot to start with and this will just add layers to it. I suspect that players who were already good with the deck might be able to still squeeze decent results out of it, but that it might be a tough deck to win with otherwise.
We'll see what happens, I have no doubt the community will still try to make the deck work (at least at first).

I don’t foresee it really surviving this nerf for most players. As stated by xskarma, it was in the upper range of skill cap, and still had issues with some matchups.
That being said, I would still wager this will be an upper tier 2 deck in the right hands. Where this deck could pull if it’s otk on turns 5-7 it will now have to wait until turns 7-9, which is still a rather daunting clock for your opponent.
Having played this deck a fair bit, in the majority if the games that I won I would pull off the OTK combo 1-2 turns before I was about to die and with no mana to spare, there was rarely any time luxury. Having a key combo piece cost 2 more would have made all these games unwinnable. Yes, the rest of the nerfs will slow down the overall meta a bit, but not enough to balance out a 2-mana increase. I expect the deck to be a meme-tier going forward

Won't kill the deck but I suspect skull will have to go back in along with the quest in order to make it work.
Of course it will esp. with the quest now no one payed anywhere near 4 mana for it in the first place

Before the nerf i didn't really need to play Kurtrus to win / to get enough cards discounted (i didn't even mind if Kurtrus got 'burned' ).
After the nerf you might actually need to play Kurtrus from time to time. Might see Glide run in the deck after the nerf to 'reset' your hand.
The deck was fast enough to kill aggro if they got a slightly bad draw.
I hope it's dead and I never see it again.
