It seems that with every tavern brawl we have people either upset that it's another rAnDoM brawl or when it's a brawl where you build your own deck, people are upset that they can't build a viable deck because the good cards are so niche normally.
So i think tavern brawls where you build your own decks should have a prebuilt option for each class that you can play even if you don't own the cards in the prebuilt deck. If it's a repeat brawl, they can have the prebuilt decks be whatever was effective last time
Also, i'd like to pitch some tavern brawl ideas:
Dead Man's Hand brawl; You build a deck of 10 cards with no duplicates, and at the end of your turn, each turn, you shuffle a copy of your hand into your deck
Limitless brawl; you build a deck of 30 cards, but you can have up to 4 copies of any card (including legendaries)
Couples brawl; whenever you play a minion, summon a copy of it. Whenever you play a spell, play another copy of it (targeting the same thing). Whenever you play a weapon, double its attack.
What would you like to see changed about tavern brawl, and what tavern brawls would you like to see?
Love some of these ideas. I am a big brawl fan too. Can't really spend time trying to brainstorm ideas of my own but I wish there were more high quality premade brawls like the very first Ragnaros vs Nefarian, I think I played like 130 games of that or something nuts like that. Good times, first I preferred Nefarian strongly like everyone, might have even instaquit with Rag. But then after getting bored of Nef, focused on Rag, realized Rag is actually better most of the time if you know what you are doing. Farmed clueless Nefarians who would often quit fast in frustration once their initial aggression bogged down. Or clueless Rags who instaquit wanting Nef. Had 100g from 3wins from the brawl every day ez mode.
Premade decks may be offered, but definitely not the best ones Blizz can think of or the best from last time if a repeat brawl. Already too quickly things degenerate to cookie cutter decks, just recall the "use three cards brawl" meta it was overwhelmingly Patches druid, followed by fireball spam mage, with some overload shaman and pogo rogues sprinkled in. That was 99% of the meta. We don't need more of that we need less. Ideally you could fix that with better matchmaking but we know that won't happen.
Hope this thread is very active and we hear many cool brawl ideas.
1. Make a deck with just creatures in it. It could be a demon brawl, so just demon creatures. A murloc brawl, so just murlocs. A elemental brawl, so just elementals... etc
2. Make a three of each cost deck. Use any cards, but you must put in three 1 cost, three 2 cost, three 3 cost cards.. etc.
3. Make a deck with limitations to just basic cards, just basic and legendaries, just rare and legendaries or..

well if you don't give the players good decks, they'll get frustrated that they can't get 1 win. And in the pick 3, each of those decks had a counter. If the problem is not enough variety of decks, then they should ban or change problematic cards for that brawl.
As I said you can give players decent decks, which will be more than enough to get their 1win (or a few) after a couple games. Just don't give the best decks since that way you will ruin the mini-meta before it even begins. People will either use those decks or work off of them to make great ones of their own. Skipping that best part when people are experimenting and many decks are being played before clear winners emerge. Besides having a big collection of old cards should be useful for something.
Ultimately both our issues should be solved by better matchmaking. Players lacking cards or skill would be matched together after a few games, as would players running more memey decks like me who likewise would not have high winrate. But sadly Blizz probably does not care enough to put in a lot of work for TB matchmaking.
Random brawls are more popular, they published the stats for each individual brawl popularity at some point. I'm pretty sure most of the casual players are fine with them. I'm happy when I see random tavern brawl, because I will get free pack faster. I can easily complete many of my daily quests if it's some basic random brawl with class choice as well. The best solution for constructed brawl problem is open access for full collection for specific mode like in TES:L, but I doubt they will ever do it.

a brawl where you can use cards from any class but no neutrals are allowed
i've been waiting for a 'cho brawl' for years.. probably'll never happen. same with nozdormu/speed mode
basically where you have to put in at least 15 spells or so and the cho effect is always active, and with nozdormu, you know what it does :)
Why no neutrals?
but yeah it would be cool to play multiple classes cards, i'd personally start with just 2 class combination so there's more variety of decks

On the top of my head I have three ideas
1. Make a deck with just creatures in it. It could be a demon brawl, so just demon creatures. A murloc brawl, so just murlocs. A elemental brawl, so just elementals... etc
2. Make a three of each cost deck. Use any cards, but you must put in three 1 cost, three 2 cost, three 3 cost cards.. etc.

or a very simple yet fascinating idea i would love to see is: the decks you make are simply switched between players
the hilarity of this really intrigues me, a.k.a who can make the trashiest deck for your opponent imaginable
and to make it even spicier, you can't include any 0 attack minions
the tavern brawl is pretty much a wasted mode, people play to get one win and never touch it again for 1 week.
my suggestion is to either give more decks if people get more wins or just bin it and give a feee deck to everyone each week
I like the build your deck brawls the best..
They could give a small amount of bonus exp for the rewards track for winning brawls.
Because it is really rare I play more after my one win.
