Seriously, the more I play dh the more I see how broken the card is at 2 mana. Its so easy to buff your damage as a dh to 6+ and then play blade dance at 2, completely destroying any board or taunts your opponent has. Maybe im overreacting here but I wanted to get opinions on this. I think the cost needs to be adjusted. Thoughts?
Bladeflurry was nerfed to 4 even when Rogue have way harder way to buff its attack compare to Demon Hunter. So Blade dance to 3 mana is a no brainer for me
Nah, Blade Dance is fine, the issue is that blizzard just gave DH an insane amount of attack buffs so it can hit you for half of your life in 1 or 2 turns while clearing at least most of your board. DH will continue to dominate the next expansion metagame cause it's not only currently the best deck but it's also getting 2 insane cards in Il'gynoth which gives you more burst/another finisher and then you have Bladed Lady which is gonna be 1 mana 6/6 with rush very often which can either trade 1 for 2 and then it solves DH main issue which is not being able to easily kill mid sized dudes that can be problematic (Other than hitting the dance)
The problem with bladefury was that it also hit face but on the flip side it also destroyed the weapon thus preventing the face attack afterwards. Blade dance effectively does the same as the weapon is not destroyed, so it seems odd to me that it wont be nerfed. DH has many more ways to buff the attack too. It is very common to have 9 damage to 3 minions then 9 to the face (with a bonus 5/5 on the board) for 7 mana. Totally balanced.
Blizzard has done what they always do - released a card which is fine at the start which then becomes broken due to other cards released. If I remember correctly no one used blade dance when DH was initially released.
I kinda have a problem with it. Its just how much tools Demon Hunter has its so insane. Blade Dance and Blade Flurry are decent removal tools. But Demon Hunter can generate insane numbers to remove. I don't know if its the card or the class that could use a small tinker. I guess the more I think of it the class is just strong haha.
I remember when Blizz said the balance of the Demon Hunter class would be ongoing but nothing has changed in months. It's only going to get worse once the new expansion hits and it returns to launch levels of toxicity.
I think the challenge from a balance perspective is that they have so many cards that they could potentially target. For me, Skull of Guldan is a prime offender. It's going to be included in every DH deck ever. They also have too much cheap draw which enables powerful combinations of cards to be played consistently.
Sure. I am Shaman player. I wait till i can play me Eye of the Storm, which is 10 manacost and has huge overload. Big luck if DH won't kill you till turn 10. You play this card and next thing DH does is playing Marrowslicer (or already keeps it), playing JUST ONE Twin Slice and Blade Dance. The minimum mana-cost for this combo-wombo is 3, the maximum is 7. As you can understand he just clears the board with this.
But the difference is — i spend 10 mana one turn and lack 3 mana next turn, so I can't play another Eye of the Storm or Tidal Wave, and DH continues playing cheap cards that crushes the board like Magtheridon, Soulshard Lapidary and other.
Blade Dance might be a bit too good, or is at least at the top end of where cards should be allowed. It is essentially a better version of what Blade Flurry should be (2 mana, hitting minions only). I don't know if they should nerf it, but it wouldn't be entirely unreasonable either.
But keep in mind that Demon Hunter will look way different next year.
Demon Hunter will get its own Classic set (all of Basic and Classic gets reworked, actually) and the devs have already said that it may or may not consist of expansion or initial cards that would otherwise rotate. The way I understood it, DH will also lose the extra cards (5 per expansion) they got during the Year of the Phoenix.
In other words, we don't even know yet what Blade Dance is. It could be an expansion card that's just going to rotate, in which case they might just tolerate the high power level for the time being. It could become a Classic card, in which case it might get nerfed. It could become a Classic card, while Twin Slice won't, which would impact Blade Dance significantly. Maybe Demon Hunter will lose other board clearing potential like Chaos Nova, maybe they'll lose their card draw potential, and things like Skull of Gul'dan and Spectral Sight will get rotated preemptively.
So, maybe a nerf is warranted, especially if Soul DH remains good during next meta, but we'll probably think differently about the card next year anyway. Maybe as a more situational card than it is right now, maybe as a Wild card, maybe as a necessary tool for DH's playstyle, comparable to Shield Slam, Backstab etc.

The Smorcstone community would strongly disagree. Didn't you realize Monkeystone has a staggering pool of DH abusers in Diamond 5 to Legend ?!?!
...the other half abuses Pen Paladin.
blud all demon hunter cards are OP manz need to nerf this class quicktime and ting you know.... bare quicktime blud.

This card is similar to bladeflurry when cost 2. Was nerfed and now is unplayable, so I think that nerf this card will make it unplayable
Good old bladeflurry in Oil Rogue / Miracle Rogue nostalgia...
