With everything else game related coming in mid November and Hearthstones fun always peaking during the first two weeks of a new expansion is this the worst timing for an expansion release ever?
I just don't understand why would they choose to release it a month earlier specially under this circumstances. It gives players less time to gather gold while also making it harder for some people to get pre purcheases due to covid.
simple - $$, it’s year end soon and the earlier they hit sales targets, the better. More expansions obviously mean more money, presales result in big cash flow injections and if they release another “mini” expansion before Christmas then they have achieved two “injections” before year end.
In recent times I've tended to amass slightly over 8,000 gold in the 4 months leading up to a new expansion - mostly completing my dailies on ladder. While I suspect I play more than most, I doubt I'm a complete outlier or my experience is too atypical.
Releasing Darkmoon Faire 3 weeks earlier than expected means my pile will be about 1,400 gold or 14 expansion packs lighter. On the upside, we get to play the new content sooner.
Additionally, landing in the mid-diamond ranks most months nets me an additional 8 packs per month (4 SA and 4 classic packs), a sprinkling of dust and gold, and the occasional epic card. I have 5-6 Arena tickets, too, with rewards attached.
HS isn't cheap or overly generous, but I don't mind paying for a game that I play regularly and is being actively developed.
The upcoming game changes sound promising. Let's see.
Probably because of the mini-expan. They expected pre-order sale would not be like the last expansions due to Covid. The mini expan on the other hand would take some back. New systems are also introduced, which require more times for experimenting and balancing. Later release would be even harder due to second wave. This should be the best time for releasing new expansion.

I am seeing these "because of covid" reasons. You guys realize that game sales and microtransactions have been at an all time high during covid?
There are a lot of stupid complaints on this site. This is one of them.
Complaining that an expansion is releasing too early is the stupidest thing I ever heard. But its okay to complain about things in the game everyone always gets downvoted for any criticism whatsoever unless the criticism is about someone criticizing Hearthstone.
Meh. I play HS everyday, so whenever they release an expansion, I'm there to support the team because they're making great content. November or December, I don't care. Keep making great content, and I'll be there with my dollars.
I support the idea of Ultrajeeves as we can play the new content sooner. I am an F2P player and this reduces my gold but almost always every day I play Hearthstone so I have no problem. I prefer new cards and content as soon as possible than waiting every 4 months.

you are not atypical...ive played since closed beta , have a complete collection that is 69% golden and I only play the daily quests once every three days to clear them. I make d5 doing this on ladder each month and get that free stuff as well. I usually amass 8400-9000 gold depending on how many challnge a friend and 100 g quests i get. I will be about 14 packs short myself but 14 packs is really nothing. I bought both expansions and will buy another 120 packs. I open between 320-250 packs each expansion. Im the guy that started playing the game while it was being developed and I support it to this day. My kids like playing with solid gold decks and they get a kick out of the animations. My 10 year old gets plenty of wins for me as well. I always have fun regardless, Most people here don't realize its just a game, unfortunately.

I made a short video discussing in more detail

And here is my video on my thoughts for the expansion. It might seem like I was hating on the game/ team in the first vid, but thats not the case.

Fair points. Then what do you think about delaying it?

His complain was very stupid though I agree.

Also that new Warlock hero portrait is perfect!

Jaja people complaining they are releasing content too soon? Why the fuck am I not surprised.

And still know nothing about battle pass how many packs we get how many gold we get soon?
I hope blizzard starts to release 4-6 expansions every year, more content is better.
Dead but dreaming
The only complaint I can find is all the pre-release crap - "Official" theorycrafting session etc.
Spoilers, spoilers, nothing than spoilers.
But I got used to it, what else can I do.
