So I was playing some Hearthstone, as Priest per usual. And seemed to be encountering a lot of very similar players. All names with a random combination of numbers and letters (I'm fighting one right now called FVV8BNL and my previous opponent was NZT6BN6).
They're all playing the same aggro Warrior deck with only basic cards. They all play no matter what, even when I'm obviously BM'ing them. And I've encountered a LOT of them now. The one I'm playing right now I've been stalling for plenty of turns. And they all immediately seem to go offline once I win or lose against them.
So yeah, am I just in an unlucky wave of bots? Or just a coincidence?
Maybe I’m just stupid but what purpose is there to making a hearthstone bot...?
To farm gold and sell those accounts later.
Huh. Well, at least it seems like it would be an easy win, so is it really that big a problem?
If people buy those farmed accounts then they aren't giving $$ to Blizzard by buying packs. So it's a very big problem for Blizzard, not so much for players.

Assuming neither of us is a blizzard employee... why are we talking about it then...?
We are talking bout it so Maybe blizzard will listen and get rid of bots. If I want to play bots I will play rumble or dungeon run or the other one not in castor ranked.

Bud... you’re not going to be playing a bot on any ladder. The whole point is that they’re cheap accounts to grind gold with basic cards, they can’t play competitively. So try again, why are people getting mad about something that they could take advantage of instead?
If you are playing a lot of bots that means your MMR is low which means you have been losing a lot and basically playing the worst players online at that moment. Get better and you won't see any bots at all.
I personally love bots. Always a free win for me. But I really hope blizzard will take some actions again like in the past because it can easy escalat. For now you can enjoy the free wins vs bots.

>Free win
Yeah, Astral Druid and Bricked Priest don't do too well against SMOrc Warrior.

I agree with this lolol.
When the only opponent available for you is a bot, you know you're doing something wrong with that shitty MMR.
People that don’t understand why people complain about bots need to understand it’s not about “a free win and move on” its for these following reasons.
1. It’s not actually that fun to play a game against an AI when you are expecting to join ranked or casual to play real people.
2. Bots often play they same basic decks it’s not fun to face the exact same deck/experience over and over.
3. It’s bad for the new player experience that don’t have particular high ranks because they are more likely to have game against bots and this is more likely to make them feel like the ladder isn’t worth bothering with if it’s just full of bots.
4. Bots and selling the accounts are a form of cheating. Most people work hard for their account either grinding or paying for packs. But if someone just buys an account full of gold and packs for a lot less than other legitimate players this makes others feel cheated.
5. Blizzard make less money, this follows on from number 4. If people just buy bottled accounts they aren’t buying packs. Less packs being brought equals less profit for blizzard which equals less insensitive to put money into developing they game.
Botting is far from harmless as some people might think. It’s why Blizzard need better in game reporting tools for both botting and abuse.

Angery Edit:
2 days, still bots. God dammit.

Well I just encountered a non-bot Jade Druid. Not my favourite deck to fight, but it's better than the same aggro Warrior over and over.
And my next opponent? Another bot.

looks like a shitload of bots has just been dumped in the game, no matter if ranked or casual
annoying....
I'm not online, it's just your imagination
Why they exist is here nor there, just dumb.
Why now is the real question? I don't think I had ever met a bot until about a week ago

Interesting. I've never seen any bots though
I don't understand why you guys are complaining about playing to a bot that has only classic cards. Isn't that suposed to be a free win?
It's a free win, but there's no joy when playing against bot, especially when you're looking for fun with people or challenge.
I like elementals and totems.
