Hello. So basically I only play druid currently. I play many different druid decks such as but not limited to token, maly, tog, spiteful, mechathun, taunt, and all of the variants in between. I have been having fun with these decks, but I also want to play control warrior. I played it before it rotated last year and kind of want to play it again.
Do I finish my druid collection which would allow me to play more fun decks such as big druid, quest druid, and star aligner OTK? Or should I craft control warrior? I’m torn up.
How can we tell you what you want to play? You need to know it by urself. If you want to play more druid decks, invest in druid, if u want to play warrior, invest in warrior...
Modern control warrior is a pretty depressing deck to play. As a control deck, there's a lot of decision making but usually your decisions won't matter much because of how polarized the deck is. There's lots of auto lose matches like OTK or quest decks and auto wins against aggro. It's also a terrible choice for climbing due to the length of games
Star aligner OTK is likely getting nerfed. Blizzard asked the community what they want to see in wild and the one thing people seem to agree on is nerfs to this deck
Big druid is basically a more highroll taunt druid. In terms of "fun", it's a strictly worse deck than taunt druid. Competitively, they're about even. No reason to craft this unless you want to play in a LHS tournament, where the format makes it much better than it is on ladder
Quest druid is not standardized. I guess it can be an okay craft if you want to experiment with memes and not worry about winning

Hmm I guess that’s why I came to the forums, haha.

As for control warrior, I am totally okay with super long games when I’m pushing for something such as low legend or when I’m at rank 1.
For the star aligner, I was actually referring to the devilsaur OTK standard deck. It’s cheap and looks pretty fun. I should have been more specific. Blizzard didn’t mention nerfing anything, though.
Have you seen Thijs’s EZ big druid? It is for sure a competitive deck, and looks more fun than taunt because you can pull 2 big dragons with enchanter.
Quest druid is for the memes though haha. All of the druid decks I mentioned are all kind of memes because I have enough really competitive decks. The question is, meme decks or control warrior? (Which I found fun when I used to play it)

If you're okay with polarized matchups, then I'd say go for it. Just know that if you queue a bunch of quest rogues in a row on your way to legend it will feel really bad
As for meme druids, for me Consistency = decision making matters = more fun. Highrolly = low consistency. I hate the oakheart package so much that I took it out of my taunt druid. Whatever floats your boat though. If you see decks on stream and like them, it should be reasonably enjoyable for you
It always baffles me when people say "I only play x class". Wtf, you are missing out on like 90% of the content of the game.
Yea sure druid is good class right now but it's always been boring as fuck class to play.
Well, some of us think the other classes are "boring as fuck class to play". We all have classes we like and dislike :P
Others like the OP can't afford a full deck of each class. Druid is a good choice for low budget and f2p accounts to build towards because of how much overlap of cards there is between many powerful archetypes (Zoo and evenlock have literally no cards in common despite being the same class, for instance so you'd have to craft full lists of each one if you want both)

Yes, very true. Although I am not really low budget, (I just wasted a lot of dust when I was new) it is very convenient that many druid cards overlapped. I came back to hearthstone after a year of a break and all of my cards had rotated out. In just about a month I have been able to craft almost every druid deck imaginable.
As for “only playing 10% of the game, I disagree”. You could even say I’m only playing 10% of decks, but I’m not. I’m still playing a variety of high tier powerful druid decks, and there are not that many good decks in the game. Since druid has so many good archetypes, I am playing a decent portion of decks without much dust. I also hate playing certain classes like hunter and priest, and there are many decks that don’t appeal to me.

That is interesting to take out oakheart in taunt as it is one of the main win conditions. It usually pulls some pretty good taunts and is sometimes autowin against decks like zoo.
As for the quest rogue, I’m pretty used to being stomped on by it while playing tog druid, unless they’re stupid enough to let me azalina crystal cove. I actually haven’t seen quest rogue in a while though which is interesting.
Just play a bunch of different classes. Why limit yourself to 1 class that's dumb you miss out on the rest of the game. My 2 favorite classes are Rogue and Warlock but I just collect cards from every class and build decks from whatever class I want if the deck seems fun. And every class has fun decks to play and budget decks for every class. Just play wild then if you only want to play druid. Any Kun + Aviana brainless deck you like to play should be a blast for you.

It's not that oakheart is not a good win condition, it's that running his companion cards when you don't draw him soon enough can be a lose condition. 9 mana 4/12s with just taunt are not things you want to play in your deck. Whatever 1 attack taunt you pick is either going to be lame in the taunt pool or lame on curve. I'm currently running Muzzy's experimental taunt druid with a few personal touches. Most notably, it runs Floop and umbra over oakheart and oaken summons. Having decent success so far
You could also try to figure out some recruit or tiger druid if you're looking for druid memes
If you're not seeing quest rogue, then warrior is probably a good deck to push for legend, though you could just as easily use any druid instead
I personally would say control warrior is fun to play right now. The Dr Boom/Mech version is pretty polarised as others have said, although azalina and Elise can mitigate that (if you have those cards).
I've personally found odd quest to be much less polarised - you've still got most of the tools to stomp aggro but the quest reward gives you a possible win condition against slower decks. Haven't faced any quest rogue or mecha'thun decks with it though, so it may have some auto-lose matchups that I just don't know about...
If you want to play Control Warrior decks, then it's good that you have 14k dust since that's how much it usually costs. Crafting Dr. Boom, Mad Genius is a good start.
14,300 dust...hmm I'd just make some more legendaries gold seeing as I have every card in the game. after I got the 30 pack of throne I had 18.650 dust. I made a golden whizbang I've yet to even use and some random epics gold as well. My odd warrior is fully golden excpet for my two super colliders. I'm waiting until the next xpan to see if this wep will be worth making gold. Play odd warrior it absolutely wrecks on the ladder. I go for a full fatigue strategy and just waste opponents time. They usually rage quit on turn 14.

If you want to play control warrior you need quest, baku and odd taunts
or mechs and dr boom hero
Wtf is wrong with playing only one class? Look at LoL....normaly players are playing few(3-5) champs out of 130+ so they are missing out 95%+ content of game? Not so sure about that.

Try Toast's triple win condition druid deck, its fun
None of these seem really that appealing

If I were you I would just save the dust for the next expansion, since you already have a couple of good decks to work with.

Play fatigue dmh warrior in wild

Here we go for you, 14300 dust.

Like a few others have said already, seems like the decks you have currently are serviceable. I personally would save up for the next xpac.
Best of luck with your decision!
